A brawny earth pony with a four leaf cutie mark yelled, he trotted through the small shop, looking for the pegasus. "Wildcard!" He yelled again, eventually seeing her in one of the aisles cleaning up something. Nasty green chunks. She stood in the back aisle, whistling a jaunty tune to herself as she mopped up the floor. On her head was a pair of headphones, music blaring from them as she cleaned. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jgrCKhxE1s) Her hips moved from side to side, tail swishing back and forth as she mopped up whatever the green chunks were. It was true, nopony knew what it was. She was so entranced in her song, she didn't notice her boss until she bumped into him. Her flank hitting him in the chest, she squeaked, taking off her headphones and looking behind her at the earth pony. She smiled sheepishly. "Ehehee, uh... sorry boss." She chuckled to herself, rubbing the back of her head. The boss pony shook his head. "Just... ugh." He face hoofed, shaking his head. "Wildcard, what have I told you about that?" She sighed, already knowing where this was going. "Don't listen to music while on the job." She looked down at the floor, fluttering her wings ever so slightly. "And why is that?" He asked her, he knew that she knew the answer, but he wanted to make sure she knew anyway. She chewed the inside of her cheek, saying, "cause I might bump into ponies." "Exactly, Wildcard, you can't be doing that in here, remember last time? With Old Lady Palmer?" When she nodded, he added, "And that little filly that came in here?" Another nod, this one slower as her eyes looked at the mop she was holding in her wing joint. He sighed, he hated seeing her like this. "Look," He put a hoof on her shoulder, saying, "you can listen to your music whenever you want, just... don't do it on the job, alright?" "Yes sir." She said quietly, rubbing a fetlock as her eyes trailed up to his, she didn't see anger, or disappointment... just a small amount of concern. He smiled faintly, wrinkles creasing on his cheeks. "You're a good kid, alright? Just be careful, I don't want to have to fire you cause you ended up hurting somepony by mistake." He jerked his head towards the backroom. "Look, why don't you take a break? Listen to some of your tunes and I'll finish up here, kay?" She returned his smile after a couple of seconds, giving him a quick hug and galloping off to the backroom, leaving behind the earth pony and a mop, along with an already clean floor. He sighed, picking up the mop and putting it into the bucket. In the backroom, Wildcard was rifling through her locker. tail swishing back and forth as she moved aside some of her CD's, looking for a specific one. A hum escaped her as she pulled out a Maretallica CD, opening up the case and switching out her music for the other. When she put it in, she hit the on button and put her headphones back on. She closed her locker, turning on her heel and trotting over to a table, taking a seat and sitting down. She extended her wing slightly, reaching under her wing joint and pulling out a small deck of cards. She looked at the box for a second before putting it down on the table, Wildcard opened it up and pulled out the cards, spreading them out evenly before her with a deft hoof. Music blasted in her ears as she shuffled the cards, switching them around and pairing them up with their correct suit, Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds. In just a matter of seconds, she paired up all of the suits, leaving only one card by itself... The Joker. With a smile she picked it up, taking off her headphones and looking at the jester pony. "We both have something in common," She craned her head around, looking back at her charcoal colored flank where a similar card rested, along with a black card behind that one. She sighed, brushing aside black and red bangs as she turned back to her cards. "We're both unused cards." She sighed, setting down the joker and looking at the clock, it read 12:00 PM. "I have a little more time." Wildcard mused. Hoofsteps from the door alerted her to a presence, and when she looked, she saw her boss standing by the door.
