Crossed - eyed in love with you.
I wake up.
Stretching my arms, I look around. It's dark. I don't care. I peep at my alarm. It's seven o'clock in the morning. I may as well get up. I don't have work today. It's Wednesday. Tomorrow is work day. Pfft. Work. At least I get cash. So I can buy stuff. I brought this apartment and I still contribute to bills, obviously. Why am I talking about work? Do you really want to hear about my problems. Meh. Anyways.
I walk downstairs and grab a handful of lucky charms out of the bag. I feel ill. My head aches. My wings are twitchy. Yes. I have wings. I am human. But I have wings of a harpy. Never mind. I grab a cup of water and walk into my bedroom.
"Winter wrap up, winter wrap up!" Sings my ring tone. I grab my mobile and flick it up.
"WAZZUUUP, JAZZY!?" Yells a familiar voice. Rican. My BFF. He seems to be at a party from the sound of the background. He sounds drunk. He only calls when he's drunk.
"Hey Rican. What you doing?"
"Partyin' so hard that I'm gonna get hone and my dog's gonna die from awesomeness! Also, how's the newest episode of My little pony? The hearths makers or whatever it's called?
"Hearthsbreakers. And you're drunk, aren't you?"
"NO! Tell ya what, you should join me!"
"I don't want to, Rican. I feel like shit. Call ya later!"
"Kay then! Bye!"
Beep. He's gone. I sigh and lean against my wall. I guess I should go to Boots and buy some medicine. I think I have a cold. I slide on a fluffy jumper. I pull on some jeans. And I walk to the shop.
I cross the road. There are a few cars here and there. I look around. Not many people or cars. I suddenly catch sight of a grey thing in the road. A cat? There is a car rolling towards it. I jump forward, grab it and roll to the pavement. Standing up and holding the creature, I realise it's a pony. A foal. Grey, with a lemonade mane and tail. Cross eyes. It's Derpy Hooves. My faviroute pony. I smile, and walk home with her.
She mumbles something. I guess she can't talk, as she seems the age of a young filly. She falls asleep in my arms. I smile, and open my door, carry her upstairs and lie her on my bed. She is breathing gently in her sleep, her wings open by her side, her hooves in an adorable tucked - up position. Her tiny yellow eyes are closed. She is definitely asleep, breathing slowly. I smile, covering her with a blanket and tucking the smallest cushion I have under her head. I walk out of the room and into my living room.
I sit, reading a story, and suddenly hear a loud whimper, and sobbing. It's her. She's crying. I run in and see that she's pressed against my wooden headboard. Don't get me wrong. I'm confused, but she's terrified!
"Hi. I'm-" I'm interrupted by a loud cough of my own. My chest hurts as I kneel on the floor, coughing loudly. I don't notice her walk up to me, and stare into my eyes, climbing onto my lap. I finish coughing, and she gives me a brave smile. She says something.
"My name is Derpy. Call me Ditzy."
I smile and nod.
"My name is Jazmin."
