Life Is Fanfic: The Prompt Days
The classroom was quiet. Not a sound other than the ticking clock. The wind outside occasionally causing a branch to tap the window. Cheerlie stared at the class- holding them in paralyzing suspense- as she held the list of students who'd be presenting. She smirked. She then opened her mouth and said "Dark Flight, shall be presenting first."
Everyone in the room turned to face her desk. She squeaked in panic. She hated being the center of attention, and now she had to present about DNA, heredity, and similar topics? She tired not to lose it. She stood, stretched her wings, and nervously walked to the front of the room. Her paper in hoof. She set it on the podium.
She could see the colt she had a crush on staring out the window. He was so cute. Why wasn't he paying attention to the current presenter? Cheerlie shot him a warning glare. He sighed as his attention pointed to the board. He looked more broken than usual.
Dark opened her mouth and began giving her presentation. Her confidence lost almost instantly. She began to stutter and her knees wobbled. Her voice wavering often. Soon she could she students laughing. She almost immediately began crying. Running out of the classroom. Her crush stood up and ran after her.
He ran after her even when Cheerlie yelled. He didn't want her to do anything crazy. Her continued follow her. Until she stopped, collapsed, and weeped. He gluped back his shyness and walked up to her. He could tell she was having a hard time.
"Are you okay?" He asked nervously. She faced him, eyes widening. She was surprised to see him. But she assumed Cheerlie sent him.
"I'm not at all fine, let me guess Cheerlie sent you?" She said slightly angry. He showed up to drag her back to that room.
"N-no...I came of my own accord." He said confidently.
"I don't even know your name! Who are you?" She said weakly.
"Dusk Breeze...I have something to give you." He said calmly.
"And that i-" He pressed his lips against hers. Making her eyes bolt open. Her cheeks turned crimson. But she realized she wasn't the only one becoming red. His cheeks were deep maroon. His eyes sealed shut. She did the only right thing and kissed back.
Once the kiss had ended she let her eyes reopen. Only to see his face, a small smile being splayed. She let a smile rise to her face. Cheerlie suddenly stormed out. Fury coating usually sweet and kind face. Her rage about to spill against Dusk.
"How dare you run from my classroom, Dusk! Dark here had a valid reason to be fleeing. But you had none!" She yelled into his face.
"I came to help her!" He said defensively. He looked damn near ready to cry.
"He really did!" Said Dark in his defense. Cheerlie sighed and said to Dusk "Detention" then turned and walked away.
"Uhg...this won't sit well with my family." Dusk groaned and turned to ditch campus. Only to suddenly be kissed. His eyes blasting open. Dark was kissing him. He let himself get pulled into the kiss. He loved it. Soon he pulled away. She whimpered for more.
"Not quite ready for making out, sweetie." He said before trotting back to class. She smiled and chased after him.
