The Fall of Equestria

"Whew, I'm almost there.." Running past the other ponies who are just trotting around the village.

Suddenly there is a knock on the doors leading to twilight's castle. "Who is it?" a voice is heard from within the castle.

"Its a messenger from Princess Celestia's castle! I bring you a letter!" Suddenly the doors open and twilight comes walking out slowly.

"Well, Lets see what princess celestia needs this time." Turns around and starts to walk the opposite way.

"Wait, this... this can not be..." Says the voice coming from the castle.

"Hm.. something just isn't right about what princess twilight just heard.. but oh well..." Turns around and starts to travel away from the castle.

"Hear me citizens of Ponyville!" A powerful voice takes control.

"The time of darkness has come, pack up and start to travel towards Canterlot.. I will be waiting for the time.. we must head off Immediately!" the voice ends and everypony around starts to rush towards their homes and start packing.

"So, what did the note say?" looking at the princess in fright.

"There is a monster larking around Equestria heading towards here. Its just a matter of time before it will reach the borders of the Everfree... once it passes through that.. no telling what might happen." says it in a scared voice.

"Well, you might need to go pack up A.J, same with you 4.. I will remain here until everypony has successfully made it out."

"Hey, I will stand here with you twilight, I don't have anything to lose..."

"Rainbow dash, Listen.. the monster is the same size as Lord Tirek at maximum size, Our friend ship alone can not take down a monster like this.."

"I- I guess you're right twilight, but.. If you stay here.. you might die..."

"I know what you mean Rainbow.. but if you and the others get away... then there might be a chance that harm may not come to all of us.. I will remain here.. you 5 must go and protect the other mares and stallions on the safe road towards Canterlot."

"F.. Fine.. Just make sure you get to Canterlot your self... I don't want to loose a friend."

The castle becomes emptied except for the one who dares stay behind to make sure everypony makes it out safely.

Suddenly the town is quiet and empty except for the one mail pony who was still packing up.

"I'm going to need all of this i can get... everypony is already gone, and I'm the last to leave? I guess I'm the slowest packer in Equestria." but suddenly a knocking is at the door.

"Who is it? Who could it possibly be at my cottage, when everypony is already gone."

"Open the door Zealous.. You and I are the last out here.. you need to evacuate Immediately."

"Why do i have to go when you're still here?"

"Zealous, Come on... You're the slowest packer in all of Equestria, I have chosen to stay behind to make sure everypony gets out safely!"

"Well twilight, you see there is an issue about this... You're always willing to risk your self to save others.. when they can handle everything on their own.."

"Come on Zealous, You need to go faster than this.. the monster could be closer than you think.."

"Ugh, Fine... Come on inside twilight, make your self at home.. I'm not done packing yet tho."

Suddenly Twilight uses her levitation spell to make everything go perfectly stacked and ready for moving. "That was cool, now lets get out of..." Suddenly a roaring scream is heard outside of the cottage.

"I.. I think we're to late..."

"You don't say... We need to go through your back door."

The sounds of roaring and screaming with the sound of buildings crashing and buildings falling. "Dear celestia.. What are we going to do.. the path we need to take is blocked by the monster.."

"Zealous... we are pegasi.. we can just fly around the danger..."

"Heh, I knew that.."

They both open their wings and start to fly around the monster without it seeing them. "Whew, that was a close call, good thing you're the princess right?"

"Really Zealous.. you almost got both of us killed.. Lets just be grateful that we have wings.."

"Why are you being so rude to me twilight, was it something i said?"

"No Zealous, It wasn't you... its just.. we no longer have the kind of power that can stop this monster from destroying Equestria.."

"Wow.. What if you get the Royal Guard to stop it?"

"It doesn't work that way Zealous... if the monster still lives.. every 24 hours its alive.. it gets stronger..."

"How is this possible?"

"It is from the Void.. and most beings that come from the void attend to get stronger through every day it lives in light. We can not stop it.. but.. we can at least survive till the lack of dawn."

The two ponies don't talk the rest of the way, but when they finally get to canterlot they are greeted with a welcoming party.

"Three cheers for the princess who stayed back to make sure everypony made it safely here!"

The hours pass by and Zealous is feeling like everypony hates her for what she does. "What am i suppose to do.. I'm the most worthless pony in Equestria.."

"Hey Zealous?"

"Y... Yeah?"

"Are you okay? you don't seem to look happy or even have a little smile?"

"I... I really don't want to talk about it.. it.. its nothing..."

"Well, If you really don't want to talk about it.. But just remember.. We all are friends and family here..."

"I... I hope so.."
