Chapter 1: Strange Waters
"Ok, the filming is all good" I thought to myself,"the perfect canoeing trip." I like to be organized. Probably because my dad likes the house tidy.
"Hey! You got the boat ready over their?!" I heard someone shout as she inturrupted my thoughts.
"Uh, yeah,"I called back to my friend, Jessica, who was looking at the life jacket like it was a giant bug. She's probably the risk taker of all my friends. And is probably wondering why I brought 2 life jackets.
"Ugh. Do I have to wear this stupid life jacket?"she complained.
"Yes, weve been over this a million times,"I groaned."If you don't wear it, you could possibly drown." Sometimes I wonder if I can even get through to her. Ever since she moved, she's always been closing the world as if nothing bad will happen. But not until that faithful day.
"But the same probably isn't going to happen to you, isn't it?"she retorted. I didn't reply."Is it!?"she said again louder.
Finally I gave in ,"Fine. Whatever. But if you drown, you can't haunt me for the rest of my life, okay?!" I yelled.
"Oh, yeah. Sure. Totally." she said with her fingers crossed behind her back. I don't even get her some time's. When something mean or anything rash happens, she would always just shrug it off and pretend nothing happened. Soon enough, she promptly threw our lifejackets into the river.(Did I mention she is one of the best tennis players on her team?)
"Hey! I didn't say you could throw mine in to!" I yelled.'What the heck is wrong with this woman?'
"C'mon ,ray. Live a little. I know you paid good money on this canoe and wallet want to waste it." I swear I could punch her in the face after she said that pun. (Yes that was a pun. If you don't get it just keep on reading... Or not. I'm not forcing you.)
"I paid good money for those life jackets too"I said to myself. Luckily she didn't hear. "Well, at least we can still Rowe the canoe towards the jackets."
"Are you sure about that?" asked Jessica as she crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?" I asked. She pointed at the water where she threw the jackets. And they were sinking, pretty quickly too. "H-how is that even possible?" I said confused. 'They don't sink that quick ,' I thought.
"Dunno, don't care." said Jessie in a slightly annoyed voice. "Let's just get this over with. I promised Laura I'd meet her at her place and spend the night there."
Either it was fate or just plain bad luck. What happened that day I will never forget. I knew something bad would happen, but i got in the canoe anyway.
2 hours later
'It's going good ' I thought, "Time to break out the camera to record the last mile".
"Ugh. Do you seriously have to take that camera everywhere you go?" she asked
"Says the weirdo, scicopath who makes music for a living and litterlly takes her tablet and headphones where ever she goes." I said with a sleek grin on my face.
She sighed,"Tushé"
The camera was a gift from my dad. It was a high tech camera with solar panels, GPS, phone and lots more other cool stuff. I was digging through my bag when I heard... Something off.
sshhhhhhrOOOOOOEEee.....shhhhhhrOOOOOOEEee....shhhhhhrOOOOOOEEee...
"Hey do you here that?" Jess asked.
I nodded "I dont think those are rapids," I said as I pulled the camera out.
"No. You think?" she sarcastically. It was only seconds before we were starting to going faster. "Dude...It's getting louder!"she said sounding alarmed. And, surprisengly, she was right for once. I had barely heard what she had just said. Then suddenly, I saw what we were heading for.
"WHIRLPOOL!" I yelled. For a second, she didn't seem to comprehend. And then she saw it herself. I never been so terrified and neither have I seen Jessica been so scared. (I really wish couould've taken a picture so I can make fun of her.)
She immediately started to paddle backwards. "You know, it would actually be nice if you HELPED ME PADDLE!!!It'she yelled
I tried my hardest to paddle, but I knew it was already too late, we were in its grasp. It dragged us round n' round, and then straight down. Yet somehow we were upright, like gravity had somehow switched itself. My mind was trying to comprehend what I was seeing but failed. We were in a tunnel of crystal blue glass, the water sparkled and was colored purple.
'What kind of sick movie is this .' I thought 'I mean- '
My thoughts were cut off short by sudden pain all over my body. I felt my bones snap and dold themselves back together. My fingers and toes molded into...whooves! My clothes melt into my skin and turn to a flaming red fur. I couldn't move or think at all. And just as quickly as the pain appeared, it just suddenly stopped and left. I stood only for a second just to be thrown again as the tunnel dissapeared around me, along with Jessica and the canoe. I was falling straight down towards the ground. I didn't know what was happening, but I knew I needed to land somewhere. I did a quick scan of the ground and saw the only thing that might cusion my fall, it was a lake. It looked deep enough for me to dive without taking to much pain. I aimed at the pond and went into a dive. I hit the water fast and loud, but I had misjudged the depth and hit my head against a underwater rock.
'Well, I guess it cant get much worse than this, ' was my last thought before I let uncounciesness take me. Who knows what will happen next.

Chapter 2 : hallucinating
Pain. I have had it for all my life. And I never thought I'd rid of it. I guess I misunderstood the meaning until we were at the whirlpool. And I can't believe how scared I was.
"Come on, Ray!" I said as I almost shed a tear as we were getting closer to the whirlpool.
"I'm trying!" he yelled.
We were soon at the grasp of the whirlpool where we were both separated. Now, I will be honest. I never really cared for the guy much. But we were In a whirlpool. And even if I didn't throw the life jackets away, we'd still be where we were now. I still regretted throwing them away though.
The water was like liquidfied crystals mixed with a color of purple. Now, here comes the fun part. I was trying to get up to the surface for air. But for some reason, I was able to breath just fine.But Ray didn't seem to know that.(best moment ever.) Then I felt a sudden pain all over my body. My fingers and toes were molded into hooves. My clothes melted into my skin as it was turning yellow. My ears turning into something totally different. My mane and tail though was kind of hard to get used to. The color of my mane was red and black. My back was burning as it was trying to make room for my wings. My face was morphing in the well known pony faces we all know today.(well you really don't know mine but I'm sure you'll know what I mean.)
I was unaware of my surroundings and got hit by the canoe. Soon all I know is that I was falling through the sky and the whirl pool was gone. Not knowing I had wings, was in a position where I'd be standing but still falling. I was fell through a few clouds, which barley did anything to stop my fall. Now when I saw the ground getting real close, that's when I started to panic. Hearing nothing but the wind and closing my eyes, I knew nothing of my surroundings.
Suddenly, I felt nothing. No wind, no clouds, no water, no nothing. "Where am I? " I thought to myself. "Am I dead? " after a few moments, I noticed I was in a hay barrel. "Please don't tell me I'm in a middle of a carnival. " Now don't get me wrong, I love playing all the games and rides 'n stuff, but I have a major fear of clowns. I will litterly run away if a clown even gets near me. As I tried to get up, I kept falling back in. "God danget, why get out of this frikin' barrel?!"
I suddenly heard a high pitched voice outside. "AAAAAH!!! RARITY, THE THING THAT FELL FROM THE SKY WAS ACTUALLY A POSSESSED HAY BARREL!!!"
"Pinkie Pie," said another vocie "don't be so ridiculous ,darling."
Pinkie Pie? Rarity? This can't be possible. I tried to climb out the barrel again and, to my surprise, it worked. When I poked my head out of the barrel, I couldn't believe what I saw.
"AAAAAAAAH!!! IT BROUGHT A PONY BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!" yelled Pinkie Pie as she jumped away from me.
"P-p-pony?" At that point, I had no idea what was going on. "Wait a second... This must just be my mind playing games on me isn't it." the two just gave me a weird look. I laughed for a moment. "Yeah! At any moment I'll wake up back at midland. And this will all be a dream."
"But" started Rarity. "Luna hasn't even lifted the moon yet"
Pinkie pie gasped very loudly. "But what if princess Luna did raise the sun? What if princess Celestial turn evil and took Luna and hide away where we will never even find her?!?!" she was partially making a scene at this point.
"I don't think that can happen Pinkie Pie." said rarity.
"Does it even matter?!" I said. I started to sound like a mad ma---mad pony right then and their. "At any point I'll wake up on my soft bed and start the 8 hour trip to Houston again." I Waited a little bit before I passed out in the barrel. All I remember was hoping this would all be a dream and my body being dragged to somewhere. "I hope Ray is doing okay. "

Chapter 3: Getting Used to Things (sort of)
Ray's point of view(sorta)
I am not okay. So I should probably start after I regained consciousness. I woke up in a pretty damp place, and with a fish in my mouth I might add. I spat it out along with some coughing. Now here's something Jess was sorry not to see. As I thought that I was bringing my hands to my face, I saw hooves instead. "I must be really high " I thought to myself. But then I looked everywhere else on my body, and I only just noticed how big my nose was. I started to panic and then.
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed.
"What was that" asked a cirtain purple alicorn.
"Um... It kind of sounds like someone was screaming" said a yellow pegusus as she whispered that last part.
"Ugh, I come here to see how discord's re-Re-formatoin comes along, and look what happens." says twilight.
The two ponies turn around and look at the draquaques who was peasefully drinking tea. "What are you looking at? I didn't do anything." said Discord with an innocent look on his face. "Besides, what in a Equestria makes you think that?"
"Well you did side with tireck and have been acting a little aloof." said Fluttershy.
"Yes well... Even if you did think it's me, something feels off. Even for my standards." Discord said.
Twilight raised her hoof to her face, processing this. "Well if it wasn't you... This better not be a joke discord. Or else I'll find you somekind of punishment." As the three went outside of the cottage Fluttershy screamed. "Fluttershy! What's wrong?" she asks.
"S-s-seamonster," she managed to get out.
As Twilight looked around, she saw me. I won't lie, I kind of looked like a sea monster. There were seaweed in my hair, I was wet and trying to get used to my legs, and broozes everywhere. Just then Twilight shot magic at me. "OUCH" I managed to get out. "WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT FOR!!!"
They looked confused for a second. "Wait a second, you're not a seamonster, are you?" asked Twilight.
At first, I was so shocked to see more horses with wings and a horn and a chaotic creature that has a mixture of different animal parts on him. "Well what do you think? Because I clearly gone wrong in life somewhere!!! And what the heck is that thing?!" I asked while trying not to freak out that much.
"See? SEE? I told you I had nothing to do with it." said Discord.
"That was a little rude, don't you think?" whispered Fluttershy.
I can tell she was a shy per... Pony due to her voice and expression. "Um I'm sorry...but I can't hear you." I said as I kept my patience.
"Right now that doesn't matter. What's important is who are you, where did you come from, and why are you here?" said the purple alicorn.
She seems pretty stric... Well might as well tell her what I know... I thought to myself. "My name is Pa... Is Ray. Why I'm here, I have know idea. But all I know is that I was conoeing with my friend and a...Wait, hold up a sec." where was Jess? I didn't see her with me, well I saw her fall from the the whirlpool,but she didn't fall with me... At this point I started to panic. "JESS!!! JESS WHERE ARE YOU!!! IF THIS IS SOMEKIND OF JOKE, I'M NOT LAUPHING!!!"
The yellow pegusus flew over pretty quickly. "Please stop. Your scaring all the animals," she whispered.
I then took noticed and apologized. "I'm sorry, I didn't know there were any here." Actually now that I noticed, there were a lot of animals here, from a bear to the smallest humming bird. "Jess would love this..." I whispered to myself.
"Ummmm, what was that?" asked the pegasis.
I just nodded my head interpreting that I didn't say anything. "Well right now, that doesn't matter. You seem worried about somepony. How about you come to my castle and we can look in the morning. You'll need the rest and the energy."
So I took her help and started my new life.

Chapter 4: Unexpected Encounters
Jessica's POV
Flashback
"hey would ya look at that," said one of the bullies that pushed Pat onto my locker."It's the Freak-show from the other day," he said. They laughed as he threw him on the floor.
"P-p-please stop..." he begged.
"or what?" he asked.
"I bet he'll call his little girlfriend of his," says one of the bullies.
"The cutie?" he asked. "pfft I doubt she'd wanna be a loser like this guy."
"Who's the loser?" I said with confidence as I overheard. I saw Patrick and instantly ran towards him but was blocked by one of the bullies. "Hello Michael. If you don't mind, could you move a little to the left." I asked.
"Now why would I wanna do that?" he asked. " 'sides, everyone knows you should be with me. I can't even believe that someone as pretty as you are hangin' with a lowly nerd like him," he scoffed.
"That's nice but I would rather be with someone who doesn't spit promises they can't keep. And if you can just move a little to the left, that would be real nice." I said. I looked over him and looked gave Pat a sorrowful looked. He just looked so awful.
"B-b-but he also tried to get into your locker and we were beatin- I mean protecting it. So you can have all your stuff and break up with this little thief." he said
"Okay first, your just sputtering nonsense and second, I don't even keep anything in my locker besides my backpack and my lunch. I will ask you for the last time to step. To. The. Left." I was beginning to get impatient.
"First a kiss, then I'll move," said Michael.
I scowled at him. "Alright ,fine. But just close your eyes first." I said. He obeyed and closed his eyes and puckered his lips. Then I kicked him where it really hurts. He yelped and his little friends were crying in pure enjoyment. "I asked you nicely Michael, but you didn't take that chance." I said as I moved towards Patrick. "You okay?" I asked. Pat was covered in broozes at least not anywhere to noticeable.
"Yeah don't worry I'm fine," he says. It pains me inside to hear him say something like that but I was able to at least muster a smile. "You don't always have to come to defend me, ya'know."
"And leave you like that? As if.
I'm gonna be there for you even if i have to go through hell and back for you.
" he blushed at the comment and I giggled. He looks kind of cute like that... Wait What? "Come on, lets go get some FRO-YO. On me."
End of Flashback
"Mph." I awoke in an unfamiliar room(and a major headache). It looked fancy and... it smelt nice. I tried to stand up but ended up losing balance and fell. "ow."
"Oh goodie!!! She's awake!!!" says Pinkie Pie.Oh God that wasn't a dream , I thought to myself.
"Wait Pinkie!" says another pony. That voice, I think to myself, that sounds like... it can't be... Laura? "shouldn't I go talk to her. I mean, I known her since 3rd grade."
"But then she won't make any new friends right away," complained Pinkie Pie.
"She does have a valid point Pinkie," says Rarity. "If Cotton is telling the truth, then of course she needs to go in there." What kind of name is cotton, I thought to myself.
"Thanks Rarity. Don't worry, I'll talk to her and we can have something to eat." with that I heard hoof steps coming towards the room. I keep trying to get up but instead I just keep stumbling and falling. "don't rush it. You'll make your aches worse than they already are."After that I froze. I looked over to the pony next to me. She was a unicorn with a pearly white coat and her mane with a blue and pink cotton colored mane and tail. Her cutie mark was a cotton candy heart. She held up her hoof and I took it and was able to stand up properly. "Hi my name is Cotton Heart." she exclaimed.
"Um...Laura, I know it's you," She then looked at me surprised of actually knowing her name.
"J-Jess? Is... That really you?" asked Laura nearly at the brink of tears. I nodded and she started crying and hugging me so tight i was nearly choking. She then let go and asked,"How are you here and when did you get here?"
"Depends when your friends dragged me here. As for how I got here, I was just canoeing with Pat and I-," wait Pat. now that I think about it, he fell in a totally different direction. Laura saw the worry in my eyes and hugged me.
"Shh, it's okay. hey how about I teach you how to walk and maybe have you look at yourself in the mirror?" she asked and I nodded. So after 5 minutes of stumbling and falling and stumbling and falling, I finally got the hang of walking on four legs. After that I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked awesome. I had a bright yellow coat and my mane being the streaks of dark blood red and black. And I had wings! WINGS!!! "So have you given yourself a name yet?" I gave her a confused look and she got the message. "take me for example. When I first came here, I decided to name my Cotton Swirl." I looked over to her flank and back to mine. "I got my cutie mark when I was helping rarity make some dresses. She was make a new line of dresses and was missing something. So while she was out getting gemstones, I added some cotton to the dresses and when she took them to her fashion show, everyone absolutely loved it and that's when i decided to be a dress designer." I raised an eyebrow at her last comment. "Officially."
While she was blabbering on about something, I was thinking of a name for myself. Then,"That's it! Cotton Swirl, I would like you to meet, Dawn Flare." She stayed silent for a moment and then smiled.
"Alright, Dawn. How about you make some new friends?"

Ray's POV
As I ran with Twilight, Fluttershy, and Discord... Actually I should rephrase that. As I kept falling, over and over and all that They say is ,"keep up." Oh well I'm sorry if I'm doing something else and taking up some of your precious time, I mean I just got here and from a different dimension who have 2 legs and 2 arms. I'm sure that's not important right now. Anyway, as I was complaining in my head, we reached Twilight's castle, and it was big. Like really big. As we entered inside, Twilight called a over a dragon.
"Spike come with me," she said.
"um..." I muttered. "Exactly what are we here for?" I asked.
"Well, I was was gonna see how Discord was doing, but since we were interrupted, I'll just be asking you a few questions and you can be off." She answered. That last one scared me a bit. I don't have anywhere to live and here I am in a castle. Maybe if I explain to her my situation, perhaps she can let me stay here. We entered what looks like a library, but it was hard to tell because all there was a lamp on a table. "Please sit on that chair and we can begin the questions," said Twilight. I obeyed and Twilight made a gesture towards Discord and Fluttershy to leave the room except for Spike. "Now lets start with something simple. What's your name" she asks.
"My name is... Ray." I answered.
"I would like to know where exactly where you came from." she asked. I wasn't sure I wanted to because she'll think I'm crazy. "I won't think your crazy, besides I already have to many crazy friends."
I blinked as she read my mind like an open book. I sighed and said ,"I come from a place called Earth. And on Earth, we are not ponies but instead creatures that, get ready, don't have hooves." I said. She and Spike look at me with a shocked expression, like they new where I came from and what I was talking about.
"I always wondered what that place was called," she said under her breath. I gave her a perplexed look and she immediately regained focus. "Sorry, just a mantle note to myself. So how did you get here anyways? And did anyone else come with you?" She asked
"Well I was with my friend, Jessica. You see, she moved away from where we used to leave for at least six years. We still kept in touch but... A lot can happen in those years. She had been bullied because of her eyes. She was called weak and stupid and she decided to prove them wrong. since then, we've been losing touch and she recently came back to spend time with her cousins and her friends. My family decided to get a canoe so we can get out and stuff. I guess things don't turn out so well that we get sucked into a whirlpool and end up here." I say. I blushed as I said all that. I just can't get her out of my mind. I looked up at Twilight and her face looked sad. She understood what I was going through.
"You seem to care about her a lot," she said. I nodded and Spike smirked.
"Is there anything you two shared? Anything that you felt?" he asked.
I blushed. "I-I'd rather not go there," I said
Twilight scowled at spike as he walked backwards. "I'm so sorry. Anyways, do you know where she is?"she asked.
"I'm afraid not. I didn't see where she went when the whirlpool first pulled us in." I said.
"I see. I guess that also means you don't have a place to stay, do you?" she asked. I nodded my head in contentment. "Well I don't want you to stay on the streets. So you may stay in my castle and we can go find your friend."
"Or not," said another voice Jessie? I Thought. I blushed when I saw Jess, she looked absolutely beautiful... Wait what did I just say?
She had bright yellow fur, black and blood red striped mane and tail, and wings on her back. She was wearing a dark grey fedora with a silver bow tie on it. She was also wearing a really dark purple scarf and a wrist watch. Next to her was a white unicorn with light blue and pink with a red daisy in her hair. She also had a cotton candy heart as her cutie mark. She aslo had a golden heart locket around her neck accompanied by some gold ring bracelets around her fore-hooves and some black fancy black boots on her back hooves.
"Jess!" I called out.
Then she cut me off. "No, no, no, I am Dawn now." I gave her a confused look. She rolled her eyes in annoyance. "For pony purposes," she said. I nodded in understanding. "Also this is Cotton Swirl. AKA Laura." she whispered that last part in my ear.
"So, how did you know where to find me? Also nice sense of style by the way," I said.
She blushed at the comment. "I didn't know you were here in the first place. I also picked out the clothes my self, thanks." she said.
I looked at her in confusion. "how?" I asked her in confusion.
"well I dunno, I'm just so used to wearing clothes all the time It doesn't feel good to be naked all day."
I brought my hoof to my face. "Not talking about the clothes." I said.
"Oh... Well Cotton, Pinkie, Rarity and I were talking when I noticed your camera in a corner, in tact nonetheless, and they said it was in the same hay barrel I was in. Then I started Freaking out and we decided to come here to see if you were here, and here you are." She exclaimed. I looked at her. She was worried about... Me. I know I should be thinking of other things but I can't.
"We also brought the camera if you want it." said Cotton. I was surprised it was even in tact. We fell pretty high and it's just mind boggling.
Just then Twilight cleared her throat and got our attention. "Well no that we know that you are safe, you can stay in the castle as well."
"oh no that's fine." said Dawn. "I plan to stay with Cotton. Besides, I don't do good in big places, I get lost easily." she said. I could't blame Jess. She's used to being in small places when it comes to staying somewhere. She got scared when she came over to my place.
Then I said something completely stupid. "C-c-can I come?" I asked without thinking twice. The two just looked at me. I should've just kept my mouth shut.
"Well the extra room I'm lending Dawn does, conveniently, have another bed sooo..." said Cotton. I sighed with relief at the convenience of an extra bed... With Dawn nonetheless. Spike smirked at me and I shot a look at him.
"Well if you two need anything, don't hesitiate to come ask me something," said Twilight.
"Oh don't worry about them Twilight," Discord says as he came out of nowhere. "I'll have all of their needs and wants in no time at all."
While I was standing there, Baffled, Jess (I'm just gonna call her Dawn whenever I'm talking.) was drooling over Discord's appearance. I seriously want answers and I want them now. But until the time comes, I'm just gonna have to wait it out.
