White Star didn't choose to die. It just happened. When she became a ghost, one scary realization hit her: she had never made a friend. White Star begins to avenge herself and tries to make new friends. But friendship is terrifying if your friends can't even see you.

"You said you wanted a friend, so here I am!"

"But...your evil..."

"I know, my darling! Isn't it lovely?"

"No...you cannot be my friend."

"Then you are cursed for life to never have a friend!"

"No! Wait! Can't you--"

"Fine! You will be able to make friends, but you will be dead."

"What?!?!"

"I will gift you with a ghostly pink aura. Now go, before I make you dead AND unable to make friends."

"But why, mommy?"

"Because you are a disgrace to everyone in your family!"

"Fine. If you are that evil, then I will have nothing to do with you as a ghost."

"So be it."

I never understood why mom hated me so much. Maybe it was because I wanted to have friends. Maybe because I was white and my whole family was black. Maybe it was because I was nice. There are a lot of reasons mom could have thought I was a 'disgrace', but all of these reasons don't matter.
