The world and it's surroundings began to tear apart at the seams like a knot being unraveled by a divine hand. Richtofen and Samantha Maxis have secured yet another object of interest to save the "proper" universe, at the cost of the one they have just finished defiling.

Crying out one last time for salvation, the survivors of that universe cursed the German as he walked through a rift in the Aeather. "Zer. Zats ze last of ze ulvanium zat I needed."

Walking around in the void of space, Richtofen calmed himself to gather his thoughts, when a girl's voice from behind his ear startled him. "You mean that WE need."

"Agh! Samamsa! You really need to shtop doing zat!" Samantha gave a small chuckle before disappearing into smoke and reappearing in front of Richtofen. "Und zat too."

Samantha's smile quickly faded and appeared more grim. "So this universe is gone as well..."

Richtofen got up and dusted himself off. "Ja. Und all ze other vorlds ve have visited. It vill alvays be ze same, my dear Samansa." The two stayed quiet for what seemed an eternity, which by their time standards wasn't long. "So, ve must now get ze summoning key from zose wretched demons in Morg City. Samansa, if you please?"

Samantha nodded as she reached out to open yet another rift, but she hesitated. "I... I don't want to do this anymore, Edward..."

Richtofen raised a brow. "You're choosing to hesitate now? After all ze other vorlds have already fallen?"

Samantha's voice became angry and resonated throughout the Aether. "Don't forget who it was who saved you at that dig site, Edward. I'll choke you with the same hand I fed you with."

Richtofen hid his fear. "Oh ja. It vas you who built all ze shtaffs und upgraded zem with those convoluted shteps. It vas you who built your faza the vessel so he could be part of ze Aether. It vas you who was cursed to hear ze voiced of ze damned und ze doomed!"

At this, Samantha took a step back. "If it wasn't for me, you four would still be trapped there to be forever plagued by those unholy things!"

"Und ve could've survived without you, girl. Vith my intellect, ve could've managed for ourselves!"

Samantha smiled. "Oh, is that so? And what about all those times I saved you and your friends from certain death? Who do you think gave you all the nukes, max ammos, and double points to survive?"

Richtofen was pinned. "Vell, if it wasn't for you being trapped in Agartha, ve vouldn't have needed any of zat!"

Samantha clenched her fists. "Well if it wasn't for your stupid group 935, my father would still be alive!"

"You didn't lose a faza zat day too, you know! I lost a close friend..."

The two stayed quiet. Their travels have made them delirious and prone to anger much more quickly. "I- I'm sorry, Samansa. Ze Aether it..."

Samantha place a hand on Richtofen's shoulder. "I know, Eddy. It's been hard on all of us, but soon. We'll make this all right. We have too..."

Richtofen gave a genuine smile. "Right..."

Samantha backed up and opened the rift. "You know, Eddy. In another universe, you and I could've been friends."

Richtofen gathered his bearings and walked through the rift. "Then lets find it, shall ve?"

As Richtofen went through the rift, something strange happened.

At the exact moment Richtofen and Samantha were in the celestial coordinates of 4.7609EQEFF, a lone unicorn was practicing her phantom transference spell. "Just a bit more..."

As her magic peaked, Twilight Sparkle unleashed her spell. As her body now laid motionless on the Everfree Forrest floor, her "phantom" self was now at the liberty of the Aether around her. "Wow! I can't believe Starswirl the bearded's notes were this accurate!" She took a while to adjust herself to the new form of being a phantom. She experimented by going through trees and rocks. Holding her breath without even needing the oxygen in her lungs. Even flying towards the sky without any wings. "This is so great! I can't wait to report all of this to Celestia!"

As she rose higher and higher, a discharge of magic was released, telling Twilight that her time was nearly up. "Oh jeez." Slowly falling towards the Earth, she fazed herself back into her body and shook off the after affects of the spell. "Well, that was intriguing. Better go write up the report before it's too late."

As  she galloped away to the Golden Oaks library, a rift opened up where she cast her spell. "No. vhere are zose four vith ze key. Eh...." Richtofen took a look at his surroundings. It was damp and dark. "Umm. Samansa. Did you send me to Shi no Numa? Vasn't Morg City supposed to be a little bit more... dark?"

A voice from behind him replied. "You're right, Edward. This place, albeit it being dark, is a little too bright..."

Richtofen quickly spun around to see Samantha physically in her regular, childish form. "V-V-Vat are you doing, child? You're supposed to be in ze Aether! Not following me around like some lost puppy!"

It took Samantha a few seconds to comprehend what Richtofen was saying. "You're right! What is going on?" She took a look at her clothes. Even after going through years in the Aether, her clothes still look like they haven't aged a day. "This doesn't bode well, Eddy. If I'm not in the Aether then..."

Richtofen's eyes grew wide. "You're not saying vat I think you're saying, right? Right!?"

Samantha bowed her head. "Without me in the Aether, we're stuck here unless my father can find us... in the millions upon billions of universes out there..."
