//-------------------------------------------------------// The pony in the blue trench coat -by ColoredPencilz- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The test //-------------------------------------------------------// The test Rainbow was sitting at the top of the cloud above the hoops she was bound to fly through. "I'm gonna ace this text, easy, peasy." She said as she whipped her tail back, making it look like a lightning bolt with its uneven edges that Rarity never approved. Rainbow paced back and forth waiting for her cue to begin her test. She was taking her final test, the final initiation, to join the Wonderbolts. All she had to do was some easy obstacle course, and then fly up high and shoot down. But she wasn't just going to shoot down and land, no, she was going to preform a sonic rainboom. She was so anxious, nervous, and excited. She remembered what Pinkie said, she calls nervous and excited, nervouscited. She snickered. Thinking of Pinkie made her feel less nervous. After ten or so minutes of waiting, Dash heard the whistle, and she snapped into position. There was then a count down coming from the mouth of Spitfire. She could tell because of her raspy high-pitched voice. Everyone in Pony Ville said Rainbow had a raspy voice too, but she had no time to think about that because she took off right as she heard the one. She shot through the hoops, making a zigg-zagg shape, a rainbow streak behind her tail. She felt the wind rush against her face, and she smiled. She did a twist. "Woooooo Hooo! Get a load of this Spitfire!" Shouted Soarin. All of the Wonderbolts were judging, along with the professional judges, but the pro's get the final say in if she passes or not. Spitfire didn't think this was fair, because it was her team, and she didn't want someone on her team who wasn't absolutely perfect. These judges didn't have the best taste, giving out tens like they didn't care, because Spitfire honestly thinks they, DON'T care... She watched as Rainbow did everything right. She wasn't so bad, but she wasn't draw dropping perfect. Rainbow wasn't nervous, and if it was even possible, she was even MORE confident. She breezed through this with ease, and she didn't think she was going to fail anymore. She flew upward as fast as she could. Then she reached the top cloud, the top hoop. She had to gain enough potential as she could. It took lots of force to do a sonic rainboom. She flew up some more. "Where is she going? All she has to do is go through the ho-" Spitfire stopped when she saw Rainbow begin to shoot down like a shooting star. She was about to go through the last hoop, and then a rainbow glow started around her. Spitfires shades slid down her snout. She needed to see this with clear vision. 'Just... alittle... more... power...' Thought Rainbow. "Somepony.... STOP HER! SHE'S GONNA HIT THE GROUND!" Hollered Spitfire as she leaned over the table, but the judge put his hoof on her chest, pushing her back. "But she's gonna hit the ground! She needs help! She needs to sto-' "She will be fine..." Said the judge with his hoof on her chest. But that judge was so wrong. Rainbow was about to do the rainboom. She then heard a noise and it startled her. She looked up, and then, she burst a hole in the ground. She was about to pass out. Her head hurt so much, but she shook it off as she looked up. Her vision wasn't clear because she probably had a concussion. She lifter her head out of the hole, and saw the judges holding up 3-0s. That wasn't the worst part though... she looked left and there was a school pony... with a camera. She knew he had taken a photo. She knew he was going to put it in the news because he was laughing. This was the end of her...Even the judges were laughing... or she was hallucinating. Her eyes began to water. She raced to her house, tears flying from her eyes. She can't count how many times she tripped, it was a long way there... or wherever she was going, since her house is in the clouds. She sat in front of the park on a bench. She didn't care if she had a concussion, she just wanted to be alone... she was ruined. //-------------------------------------------------------// Sip of poison //-------------------------------------------------------// Sip of poison "Rainbow Dash! Where are yoooouuuu?" Shouted a voice that Rainbow knew. It was Pinkie, she could tell because of her voice, and the long you. She looked over, her head throbbing as she did so. "Rainbow? Aah! There's by big goofy winner! Howdy do?" Pinkie giggled. She held out a cake in front of Rainbows face. She pushed it away, her head throbbing as she did so. Pinkie tilted her head like dogs do when they're confused. "Oh... did you not win?" Asked Pinkie, looking sad now. "Yeah... not only did I not make it in, somepony took a picture of me. I'm ruined." Said Rainbow. Pinkie sighed. "But we have a whole party set up for you! You may not have made it in, but could you at least come to the party? We wouldn't want all the... hot sauce and... cupcakes' Pinkie drooled as she said this 'to go to waste?" Asked Pinkie. "I... guess not." Rainbow said standing up. Pinkie perked up. She hopped away, the cake on her back, and Rainbow followed. They entered through a streamer lined door way to Sugarcube corner. All her friends were drinking punch and dancing. Applejack then turned to Rainbow. "There's the new Wonderbolt!" She said, and everyone cheered. Rainbow looked down, disappointed in herself. "I didn't make it in. And I humiliated myself. I'm ruined." She said. Applejack stared at her, blank faced.  She then snickered. "Rainbow, your worked up bout that?! Heh, ya'll get hurt all the time. You can't get worked up bout this one time sugar cube." Applejack said. "We all make mistakes." Twilight added. "Yeah! But none of you have ever made huge mistakes like this! IN FRONT OF YOUR HERO'S!" Rainbow shouted, tears in her eyes. Twilight stepped up. "Hey, I make lot's of mistakes in front of Celestia! Remember that one time I tried to get the Yaks to alliance with Equestria? I sure messed up that time. Or when I yelled at Cadence... but I guess that was really Chrystlas..." Twilight said. She new she wasn't really helping. "Yeah, yeah whatever... let's just party... or something." Rainbow said in her "depressed" voice. She walked over to the punch table, her friends dancing behind her. She could tell they glanced at her every now and then, they were worried and she knew she should be glad they care, but she wanted to be left alone. She went to the punch table and grabbed a cider. She sipped it. "Ahhhh. That's good." She whispered. Pinkie hopped over. "Hey Dashie! Could you maybe go into the kitchen and grab my hot sauce? I think I left it in there. Thanks!" Pinkie said, as she walked away, not giving Rainbow any time to respond. She rolled her eyes and walked through the half door to the kitchen. There were lots of cabinets. She sighed when she realized she would have to check through all the cabinets. She started through the right rows. ' Cakes... batter... cooking utensils...' Thought Rainbow as she searched the cabinets. She reached the next cabinet... it was the wine cabinet. There were shelves lined with beers, punch, cider and wine. 'Mmmmmm, cider. Wait... is that wine? I've never had it... why not try some." Thought Rainbow as she reached for the first wine she saw. She then jerked her hoof back, and to the right when she saw the beer. She grabbed it, popped off the top of the bottle, and took a sip. She gagged and stuck her tounge out. 'That's so gros- oh... that just got good.' She thought. Her eyes lowered and she let go of her worries she was so upset about earlier. She slumped against the counter, and then slid back down to the floor. The carpet was so soft... she then got tired all of a sudden. She shut her eyes, into blackness, and then her mind descended into darkness too as she fell asleep.
