He turns his head only to find his roommate missing and his room a mess of bent metal and stray, sparking wire.  (This is odd) Thought the Spartan, when he stood up though, he found the ship to be at a slight slant. (We must have crashed), he walked out of his room knowing what he would see, but this is what he didn't expect to see...Ash. At that sight he turned to a nearby terminal that was still working. <> <> <> <> He couldn't believe what he was seeing, but he new he had to move on knowing that he is an icon for humanity and he had to survive, after all Spartans Never die.
