Chapters It was a nice sunny day for all pony kind, they could play and read and do whatever they pleased, except the changelings. They were having the worst time of their lives. They starved, died, lost hope, died . Their queen, Queen Chrysalis, saw this all happening before her very eyes. She knew very well, that to succeed, you need a team.
Hidden far from Equestria, in a large changeling cave that was littered with starving changelings, Queen Chrysalis sat on her black and greenish blue heap of something with many holes in it she called a throne. She scanned the area, only to find greyish blue stone walls along with more greyish blue stone walls. The only real decorations were the dead and dying changelings along with some glowing green areas here and there.
"Captian!" Queen Chrysalis shouted. Instantly a bulky but skinny changeling showed up. He wore dark blue armor and he looked like he would do anything to eat, even if it meant killing Celestia.
"Yes my queen?" the changeling asked in a slithery voice, his empty eyes showing no emotions.
"Tell me where I can find," Chrysalis paused, thinking of who to find first. "King Sombra....."
"In the Ice of the North, my queen."
"Good. Get me two of your best men and meet me at the castle doors," Queen Chrysalis said, rising from her "throne".
Three hours later, the changeling queen and her few companions landed in snow with their terribly built chariot. They were supposedly where the King of Shadows, King Sombra, was.
"Are you sure this will work my q-q-queen?" one of the changelings asked as he unhooked himself from the chariot he had to pull. Almost immediately, his hooves started to sink deep in the snow once he took a step or two.
"Yes it will work. Just let me do my reviving spell and it will go just as planned," Queen Chrysalis said smoothly. Her horn ignited a sickening light green and she pointed it at the snowy ground. She used the majority her little energy to take the remains of the once living king and gaher them up. Once they all collected, she was lifted inti the cold air with the remains. The grey and red pieces of King Sombra spinned and soon in its place the was the Great King Sombra. They both dropped from the air, with King Sombra landing on the changeling queen.
"Hmmm. What has happened? Why am I on this changeling?" King Sombra asked himself to test if he was really back, and to his surprise, he really was.
"It's Queen Chrysalis of the Changelings and if I wasn't asking you to help me take over Equestria, I would bite you." Queen Chrysalis snapped, shaking the Shadow King off while she stood up.
"Take over Equestria? Sounds like a plan. Where do we start?" King Sombra asked quickly with a sinister smile, for he already wanted revenge on the ponies that took his life.
"First we need to get Discord and Nightmare Moon," Queen Chrysalis said motioning to the green mess that she came in.
"So how will we get to them? They're both reformed." King Sombra asked while getting in the carriage with Queen Chrysalis, but not paying much attention to what he as doing for he accidentally stepped on Chrysalis's hoof.
"Sombra, it's simple you convince Discord and I will convince Luna," Queen Chrysalis said turning into Celestia with an angered growl. Along with her, the carriage turned gold and the changelings pulling it turned into the usual white guards that pull Celestia's carriage. Only one changeling stayed the same, following previous orders Chyrsalis had given him.
"Isn't Celestia going to be at the castle?" King Sombra asked, watching the ground go farther and farther away as they lifted off into the frozen sky.
"She is currently on a mission at elsewhere and I just happen to know that Discord is going to be at the Castle so that's when you come in," Queen Chyrsalis said pulling out the best impression of Celestia.
"What about this changeling?" King Sombra asked, motioning to the changeling who didn't transform with his hoof and getting on Queen Chrysalis's nerves.
"Bait, I will use him to get Luna and after that he will help you get Discord." Queen Chrysalis took in a deep breath and shouted "Also, STOP ASKING QUESTIONS!!!"
"Ok, yeessh. Don't have to be rude about it!"
"That's it your walking!"
"What?" King Sombra asked last minute.
Sombra was wrapped in Chrysalis's green aura and was thrown off the carriage. The Captian jumped off the carriage and caught the Shadow king before he hit the soft but harsh ground. Using his teeth he carried King Sombra back to the carriage and set him down with little gentleness.
"Much better," Queen Chrysalis mused to herself when she didn't hear anything from the king.
Soon the Canterlot was in sight and it was going to soon be ruled by villains.
The carriage came to a stop and right away, King Sombra slipped away in the shadows.
Queen Chrysalis motioned for the changeling to follow her. He nodded and transformed into a servant as they began to walk up to the castle and was greeted by the guards. They didn't ask why Celestia was here already they just opened the doors without any further questions.
She walked inside and looked for Luna's room. There was a door which was decorated with stars and a moon, which had a soft snore coming from inside. The sun was up and like usual, Luna slept during the day.
Queen Chrysalis opened the door a little and turned her head to the changeling and said "Don't harm her, just give her a little fright."
"Yes my queen," the chengeling said as he turned back into a changeling. He looked both ways before he went in, to make sure there was no guards around. When he coast was clear, he snuck in.
Out of boredom, Queen Chrysalis looked in the mirror that was perched up on the wall. She made sure she had every last detail that Celestia had. She realized she can still use her magic to partly transform her back to her beautiful self. She made her white horn jagged, then made sharp teeth grow from her mouth.
When she was trying to make her eyes look dragon like she heard a bone chilling shriek. She stopped what she was doing and turned back to normal Celestia. She burst in the room and saw Luna battling the changeling. She raced to the changeling and pretended to put him in a cage. Then she used her magic to teleport him to King Sombra. Acting like she had won the fight she turned her head to Luna.
"Thank you Celie, but why are you here?" Luna asked, tilting her head.
"I was coming back to ask you something." Chrysalis smirked as Luna grew confused.
"Go on," Luna said warily.
"Have you ever notice that every pony still doesn't admire your night?" Queen Chrysalis, disguised as Celestia asked.
"What are you taking about? Every pony admires my night."
"Who came to your so called shooting stars show?"
"Lots of ponies."
"Name them."
"Ok there was AJ,Pinkie,Twillight,Rainbow,Rarity,and Fluttershy," Luna said growing sad.
"See the only ponies that came, came because they don't want to hurt your feelings."
"S-so you don't care about my feelings."
"Nope! Why do you think I left on the day your little dumb show was on?"Chrysalis asked, breaking out of character while laughing.
"No that's not my sister! You aren't my sister!" Luna growled.
"Of course not, I'm just here to ask you to join us," Queen Chrysalis said, transforming into her normal self.
"Why would I Chrysalis!" Luna asked with anger.
"Because you're Nightmare Moon, you can help us rule Equestria under your beautiful eternal night."
"Never!"
"Such a shame I have to do this to you but you're just too stubborn," Queen Chyrsalis said as she used her horn to release Nightmare Forces on Luna.
The Nightmare Forces smiled and said "Hello Luna. How have you been?"
Luna tried to scream but her screams were muffled by the sound of the Nightmare Forces flying around her. They lifted her up like when Chrysalis revived Sombra. All the sudden the ground began to shake until they disappeared. In their place was a laughing Nightmare Moon.
"YES!!!! IT WORKED!!!! I never thought it would work!" Queen Chrysalis yelled.
"Quiet!" Nightmare Moon snapped,shutting Queen Chrysalis's mouth with her hoof.
"Ok," Queen Chrysalis whispered pushing away Nightmare Moon's hoof.
"Now that I'm here I would like to ask you."
"What Moon?"
"Don't call me 'Moon' I am Nightmare Moon!" Nightmare Moon hissed.
"Ok fine. What were you going to ask me?" Chrysalis said with a roll of her eyes.
"How will we take over Equestria exactly?"
"Oh it's a brilliant plan. Sombra here told me all about it," a new voice said. It belonged to Discord who seemed to have become evil too. "I personally think that it will be very fun!!!" he cheered.
"How did you turn Discord?" Queen Chrysalis asked.
"I got my ways," King Sombra said.
"How?"
"Magic," Sombra said proudly.
"What type of magic?"
"My magic.''
"What is your magic?" Chrysalis asked angrily, annoyed at Sombra's childish ways.
"Magic."
"OK WE GET IT YOUR MAGICAL JUST LIKE WE ARE!" Nightmare Moon burst in with great power, her eyes complete slits and her fangs slightly longer and sharper than usual.
"HALT WHO GOES THERE!" a voice boomed. The four villains turned their heads to see a white guard in gold armor.
"Look what you did!" Nightmare Moon hissed.
"Wait! Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, and King Sombra?" the guard said with a gasp. He froze in place with fear.
"Let me handle this," Nightmare Moon said as her horn began to glow.
She lifted the stallion that was racing to the exit with a evil laugh. Using her magic, she levitated him to the group of villains. Nightmare Moon gave a the stallion a disgusted look when she had him face to face. He whimpered as he tried to squirm away from the nightmare before him. Nightmare Moon smiled at his pathetic attempts and used her horn to put the stallion to sleep.
"We need as much time as possible to gain power. We must take down one thing at a time," Nightmare Moon said calmly. She set the stallion on the wall with little gentleness.
"Who made you the leader?" Queen Chrysalis asked. "I'm the one that started this so I think I should be in charge!"
"I think Nightmare Moon should be Leader,'' King Sombra said while his eyes turned into pink hearts. He stared a Nightmare Moon with a sheepish grin.
"WHAT WHY HER?" Queen Chrysalis boomed. She eyed Nightmare Moon and hissed.
"Well think about it. She has the power of the moon which is way more powerful than you, she was able to lock Discord in stone, and she was able to get rid of me the first time I enslaved the crystal ponies," King Sombra said as his eyes turned back to normal.
"OK FINE! SHE'LL BE LEADER!" the quite mad changeling queen said as she crossed her arms.
Nightmare Moon had noticed that Sombra had clearly lost control over his love for Nightmare Moon. She decided to reward Chrysalis with some food for such a easy lose. "Why thank you my cute little Somby!" King Sombra blushed and still kept his sheepish grin.
"Ok thank you for that little bit of food," Queen Chrysalis said to Nightmare Moon as she felt love in the air and promptly ate it.
Nightmare Moon nodded before she started to raise the moon in front of the sun. "That shall give us all the time we need to prepare. My sister will see the eclipse and when she arrives here we can all get our revenge on her."
''WAIT WHAT ABOUT SOMBRA AND ME! We also need to get revenge on you," Discord said as he was trying to find out how to get revenge on Luna.
"I am no longer Luna but I am Nightmare Moon. IF you would like to get revenge on her by attacking me I will throw a porcupine at you two,'' Nightmare Moon said with a devilish grin on her face. All the sudden two porcupines appeared, each ready to shoot their needles.
''OK never mind that. Let's go take all the time we need before Celestia returns," Discord said, turning very small and hiding behind Sombra, who nearly sat on him.
"WATCH IT SOMBRA!!!!! BEFORE YOUR BIG FLANK SITS ON ME!!!!!!!" Discord yelled angrily.
"Oh Discord, there is no escape," Nigtmare Moon chuckled. She lifted tiny Discord up and smiled. "I wonder what would happen if the gobbling ponies up thing came true about me. Or, gobbling up draconequus," Nightmare bared her fangs at the tiny Discord before her face.
Discord panicked and disappeared as Nightmare Moon fell down laughing. She looked at Sombra who was hiding behind Chrysalis.
"Oh Sombra, I'm kidding. How would I eat a pony?" Nightmare Moon said as she fell down laughing.
"Um......I don't know exactly........." Sombra said with a nervous laugh. He came out of his hiding spot warily but smiled as if he knew she was kidding.
"I believe we all want revenge on my sister," Nightmare Moon said. She studied her hooves out of pure boredom.
"Yes those thousands years in stone was quite boring," Discord said, popping out of Celestia's ear, which made her nearly leap out of her fur.
"It was you and your...er... You who got rid of me the first time!!!!!! Your student and her dragon blew me to smitherines! Now I want revenge!!!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!" Sombra laughed happily while the others just stared at him. He stopped with a small chuckle once he saw them staring at them.
"I really dislike you and your student for stopping me from feeding my subjects. Now letting some pony starve is just rude!" Queen Chrysalis said smothly at first but lost control after.
"Well said everyone! Time to be banished to the MOON!" Nightmare Moon laughed maniacally.
"Please Luna I know that not you," Celestia said as tears streamed down her face. She took a step towards her demon sister.
"I AM NOT LUNA!" Nightmare Moon shouted as she struck Celestia without a lightning bolt. Celestia winced and stepped back with pain jolting down her spine.
"Everyone get weapons so Nightmare Moon doesn't need to waste her breath," King Sombra said summoning a black, gray, and red sythe.
"I CALL SCYTHAXEORD!!!!"Discord yelled.
"What's that?" Queen Chrysalis asked, summoning herself daggers.
"An axe, scythe, and a sword all mixed up to make a ultimate weapon," Discord answered showing a weapon with an axe blade and a scythe blade at the top, and a sword as the handle. He snapped and it turned cotton candy pink and light blue.
"Enough chit chat. Time to fight!" Nightmare Moon said. She bolted off her seat and swung a long sword at Celestia. Celestia dodged with ease and summoned herself a sword that glowed.
Celestia leaped at her sister but was thrown back by a teal aura. She slowly got up and dodged her sister as the nightmare swung her sword again. Celestia grab her sword and swung at her sister, who dodged with little effort.
"You have become better Luna," Celestia said as she ducked under her sister's sword.
"Indeed sister. You have...... Grown worse," Nightmare Moon said. She swung her sword at Celestia and cut off her sister's breastplate.
Nightmare Moon cackled and knocked her sister over, tossing her sister's sword out of her grip and breaking it in half.
"Sister," Nightmare Moon said as she pressed her sword against Celestia's neck. "Now you will know how it feels to be hated." And with that said, Nightmare Moon lifted her sword from her sister's neck and flew onto the throne. She laid down as she eyed her sister. "Get her."
Discord snapped and a super hero suit appeared on him. He posed as superman and flew to Celestia with his scythaxeord. He stopped in air right before he hit her and touched her nose with his scythaxeord. Moments later she had a banana suit on. Discord fell on the ground as his suit came off.
Queen Chrysalis used her daggers to swipe at Celestia, cutting the banana suit. King Sombra turned into black smoke a covered Celestia. Once he came off her she had green eyes and purple smoke coming from them.
"LUNA!!!! NO!!!! PLEASE!!!! THIS IS NOT YOU!!!!! YOU ARE MY SISTER!!!!! I LOVE-" Celestia was cut off by her sister's thunderous voice.
"NO YOU DO NOT!!! YOU DO NOT LOVE ME OR MY NIGHT!!!!! NO ONE DOES!!!!!!!"Nightmare Moon yelled. She began to cry on the inside, but didn't let actual tears go down her face. "Discord..... You know what to do...."
Discord instantly trapped her in stone. He even made her look like she was dancing with a happy face.
"Looks like I'll see you at the moon!" Nightmare Moon chuckled, her mood changing as her horn glowed and Celestia disappeared with a flash.
"Wow she even left a mare shaped mark on the moon!" Discord laughed, pointing to the moon through the throne room window.
"Well let's go find Twillight and her friends." Nightmare Moon said with a devilish grin.
This should be fun
On her first few moments on the cold,hard,and white moon, Celestia was watching her home world. She would have tears streaming down her face if she wasn't trapped in stone. Celestia waited and waited in her banana stone suit. She didn't want to stay like this for long. Mainly because her jaws hurt from smiling. When she got out of her stone prison she was going to get Luna and Discord back. If she got out.
"Girls we got to move faster! Nightmare Moon is back!" Twillight said panicking.
"We're movin' as fast as we can, Twi!" Apple Jack said through large breaths.
"I hope Celestia reaches Nightmare Moon before we do," Rarity said.
"Well girls, hate to break it to you, but whenever I do a locating spell on Celestia, it says she's on the moon," Twillight said. Her eyes had already shed her tears, so she couldn't cry now.
Moving as fast as they could through the Canterlot Castle halls, Twillight stopped at the throne room. The others stopped too. Poor Fluttershy almost slid right into the door when AJ bumped into her.
"Sorry Sugarcube," AJ said fast as she helped Fluttershy up. AJ tried to smile at her but she was too sad to even try.
"Right through this door should be Nightmare Moon, right Twillight?" Rainbow Dash asked. She popped her neck with a smile.
"Yes and once she is reformed again, Celestia will return I hope." Twillight said.
"This should be easy!!! We are the Elements of Harmony!!! We can take her!!" Rainbow Dash said. She smiled at Fluttershy but Fluttershy was too sad to notice.
With a count of three the Main Six rammed into the door. They came to face to face with King Sombra, who was grinning like it was his birthday.
"Boo!" King Sombra said as he covered Rarity's and Twillight's horns with black crystals.
"King Sombra? Why is he here?" Fluttershy asked, leaping behind Twillight.
"Oh don't forget Queen Chrysalis and Discord!" Pinkie said pointing to each one with her hoof.
The dark throne room was lit up by blue fire candles. The throne looked the same but with black metal and blue felt. The walls were painted black and the windows had new pictures showing a happy looking,banana suit wearing,trapped in stone Celestia on the moon or a picture of either Nightmare Moon, Queen Chrysalis, Discord, Sombra, or all of them together.
"What have you done to this throne room?" Rainbow Dash asked. She flew up to a window with banana Celestia and tapped it with a hoof. Immediately she was thrown to the ground by a teal aura.
"What do you mean? It's all a Princess of the Night could ever ask for."
The six ponies turned there head to the throne which had a very happy looking Nightmare Moon on it. They all gasp. It was true, Nightmare Moon is back.
"Long time no see girls," Nightmare Moon said in a slithery voice. She stood up from the throne she was sitting in. "I almost missed you."
"What happen to you Luna? Why are you doing this?" Twillight asked as her eyes became watery. She actually was able to cry even though she was all out of tears.
"My name is not Luna, it is Nightmare Moon, and it's not why I'm doing it, it's why we're doing it.
"Please Luna I know your in there! Fight it!" Twillight screamed. She banged her hooves against the ground, causing a crack to spiderweb out.
"Get rid of them," Nightmare Moon said as she laid back down on the throne.
"Fluttershy, I believe that your little tea parties won't keep me from doing what I want. So if you thought that would work,then you were wrong," Discord said as he pulled a cuccumber sandwich out of Fluttershy's ear.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she flew over to Discord. He snapped and she became a filly.
"What hwappened to me?" Rainbow Dash asked in a very cute voice.
"Your turn Sombra!" Discord yelled as a golden trophy appeared in his claws that said best trick.
"Ooooo! I know what to do!" Sombra said.
Turning into black smoke, he gathered the five ponies and one filly.He then used his magic to take off Twillight's and Rarity's horns.
"This is revenge for removing my horn!" Sombra shouted. He tried not to sound like a filly in front of his crush, Nightmare Moon, but failed terribly.
After he took their horns he turned back into a unicorn and gave Nightmare Moon the horns. Nightmare Moon gave a fake smile and when King Sombra took his gaze off her and the horns she barfed on the side of the throne. She had expected Discord to do that type of thing because it doesn't make sense. She was wrong. She used her magic to clean up the barf and then turned her head to Queen Chrysalis who was trapping the girls in the gooy green stuff she used to hold Candence at the wedding.
"Good you got them in one place. Any last words?"Nightmare Moon said as a wicked smile grew on her face.
"Luna I know you are in there! And if you take over Equestria, you will have to live with your mistakes!" Twillight cried. Tears streamed down all the girl's faces.
Something deep inside Nightmare Moon made her think about what Twillight said. Her heart hammered against her chest as she thought things through.
"You know she is right," a familiar voice said inside of Nightmare Moon's head.
Who was that? How are you in my head?
"I am you. I am Luna. You may be back but I am still part of you."
"Um, Nightmare?"
"What?" Nightmare Moon asked. She shook her head and looked around at the scene before her.
"You spaced out there for a moment. Are you ok?"
The voice came from Sombra who had a worried look on his face. He looked between the ponies and Nightmare Moon. His face grew more worried EVERYTIME he looked at Nightmare Moon.
"Yes, I am," she said.
"Shall we continue?"
"We shall. Discord would you like to do the honors of getting these ponies ready for the moon?" Nightmare Moon asked. She looked at her hooves which were turning a very dark blue.
"I thought you would never ask!" Discord said. He snapped his claws and the girls had banana suits on. He then imprisoned them in stone.
"Don't do this," Luna said inside of Nightmare Moon's head.
I will and you can't stop me! And I see what you are doing to me Luna!!!
"Hope you see Celestia on the moon girls! Have a nice stay!" Nightmare moon shouted with a evil laugh. She pointed her horn at the Main Six and teleported them to the moon. Her fur turned back black, the color she wanted it to be.
"If this makes you happy, I sent Cadence to the moon," Discord said.
It didn't make Nightmare Moon happy, but she decided to punish him later.
"Good job. Now since that's out of our way, we can do what ever we want!"Nightmare Moon cheered. The four villians all laughed an evil laugh together.
"I hope you are happy. With no pony to stop you, you are just about the evilest thing on this planet," Luna pointed out.
Thank you. I am happy.
"So what now Miss Moon?" Luna asked quite rudely.
Well if you pay attention you might find out.
"Now since Equestria is under our control we make the rules. And since I'm in charge of you guys there are a few rules for you. One, no one interferes with anyone's doing. For example, If Discord would to say, turn the night into day, that would ruin what I want. If any of you do mess up another's thing you will go to the moon like Celestia and the elements. Number two, help out each other. If our subjects are dying of starvation, Discord will provide food. If the changelings aren't getting love, I will put love spells on ponies. That is all. You may leave," Nightmare Moon said.
As the others were leaving Nightmare Moon said "Also no letting Tirek free."
"WHY WOULD I DO THAT? HE STOLE MY AWESOME POWERS!" Discord shouted. The draconequus disappeared as he crossed his arms.
Nightmare Moon sighed as he proofed away. She wanted to mess around with him, but clearly Discord had other plans. For the world around them except their new castle changed. Soap roads, cotton candy, chocolate milk rain clouds appeared.
"I have a question," Sombra asked as he tilted his head.
"Yes Sombra?"Nightmare Moon answered.
"Why did Discord need that weapon of his if he only was going to touch Celestia's nose with it?"
"Ask him."
"Ok."
"Um, Nightmare Moon?" Sombra said for the millionth time.
"What?" Nightmare Moon replied with lots of annoyance.
"Some ponies have volunteered to become some of our guards. They clearly made a right choice right?" Sombra said hopefully. He beamed at Nightmare Moon as if he did the right thing too.
"No they haven't! They are just offering themselves because all hope is lost," Luna grumbled in the back of Nightmare Moon's head.
Be quiet.
"Blah blah blah," Luna mumbled to herself.
"Nightmare?"
Nightmare Moon shook her head and looked at Sombra.
"Uh, yes indeed. Have some of them suited in crystal armor. Others random and mixed up armor. Some shall be changed into changelings. Last have the rest in black and blue armor."
"Wise choice."
"Not really," Luna said.
I SAID BE QUIET!!!
Luna crossed her arms. She had a perfect view of everything but just wasn't in control.
"Want to have fun Nightmare?" King Sombra asked hopefully.
"Fun?" she replied. She thought of Discord and turning him small. She smiled at the thought and didn't realize that Sombra was getting scared.
"You know go to the moon and draw on the statues of Celestia and the others," Sombra said as he ducked his head.
"He likes you and you like him back," Luna said with her arms still crossed. "Trust me, I used to have a crush on him before he tried to take over the Crystal Empire. That is my proof that you like him."
I DO NOT!
"You do. I can feel it."
Ok maybe I have a small crush on him but that's true love.
"Duh."
Silence!!
"I guess that would be fun," Nightmare Moon said to Sombra. She stood tall and regal before disappearing.
"That is so funny!" Sombra chuckled after Nightmare Moon had drawn a large and bushy mustache on her sister.
"I must agree on that, it is pretty funny!" Luna laughed.
That's my girl!
"I am not your girl !"
Sure you aren't.
"Nightmare?" Sombra asked, not aware of the meeting in Nightmare's head.
"Yes Sombra?"
"Will you be my special some pony?"
"HAH! I win the bet! Now I get to be in charge for a minute!" Luna laughed.
I hate you and there is no way I'm letting you be in charge.
"TOO BAD!!!!!" Luna said and took control anyways.
Luna was in control and she smiled and nuzzled Sombra. He blushed. Then she hugged him with great strength. Last she said "I would love to be your special some pony!"
ALL RIGHT IT'S MY TURN TO TAKE OVER!!
"Fine," Luna said as she chuckled to herself and let the Nightmare take over.
"Wow Nightmare. That was..." Sombra paused.
"SAY IT!! SAY IT!!" Luna yelled.
SHUT UP!!!!
"That was amazing," King Sombra said. He looked back a the stone figures. "We better go."
"Agreed!" Nightmare Moon said. She teleported to the castle, leaving Sombra behind.
"Nightmare?" Sombra looked around until he found a paper taped to Celestia's stone nose.
Dear Sombra,

Nightmare Moon
Sombra gulped and fell onto his flank. "Ok........ I understand......" He sat there in silence.
It was dark outside. Like it always was after Nightamare Moon, Discord, Queen Chyrsalis, and King Sombra defeated Celestia and the Elements of Harmony. The soapy ground bubbled and popped. Right now would be when the moon came out but it was already out.
Nightmare Moon sensed ponies going to sleep. She felt Discord,Sombra, and Chyrsalis sleeping. She decided to visit them in their sleep. First stop, Sombra! Nightmare Moon created a door. The door switched to green,pink,purple,blue, and when it hit black she leaped inside. The door lead to a star filled area with millions of millions of doors. They each were different types and colors of door. They each a a cutie mark or if they didn't have a cutie mark it said their name.
She found a red door with a cutie mark of black crystals. She entered it and found King Sombra with looked like another pony. That pony was tall,black, and had a large, star filled,blue mane. That pony was Nightmare Moon. That Nightmare Moon had all her armor off. The two ponies were sitting under a cotton candy tree. Under the tree was a picnic blanket, blue grass, and some black crystals. The sat under the light of the moon. Sombra's cheeks were red and even had a kiss mark on them.
The real Nightmare Moon growled. She walked up the blue grass without a single sound. Right when she was behind King Sombra the fake Nightmare Moon grew scared and disappeared.
"Moon Bug? Where did you go?" he called out getting up from his seat. Without looking he bumped into the real Nightmare Moon.
"Uh..." he peeped. He turned his head to the real Nightmare Moon. He yelped and all the cute love stuff went away.
"Hmmm are you real?" he said aloud. He waved his hoof at her face and hit it hard.
"I am going to strangle you!" Nightmare Moon said as a red hoof mark appeared on her face. "I CAN DREAM WALK YOU KNOW!!!!!!"
King Sombra dashed away and close on his tail was Nightmare Moon. She snapped at him with her sharp teeth. He yelped and leaped into a maze. He thought that Nightmare Moon had got lost in the green maze. Wrong.
Out of nowhere, Nightmare Moon leaped through the the bushes that made up the maze. He tried to squirm away but it was hopeless. Nightmare Moon looked straight into his red eyes. Right when she was going to punch his snout, the dream disappeared. He had clearly woke up.
"I am going to bed!" Nightmare Moon yelled as she levitated a ice pack to her red cheek. "I'm going to kill that stallion of its the last thing I do."
Sombra jumped awake. He leaped from his bed and nearly died from falling the crystals on his black crystal bed. He dodged them with little ease and stood up by his desk, which, was crystallized like everything else in his Crystal Empire.
"Why must everything here be crystallized? I'll put my slaves to work on that later. I wonder what time it is," Sombra mused to himself.
King Sombra looked on his desk and discovered a piece of paper. He lifted it up and looked around.
"Where are my reading glasses? Oh, there they are."
Sombra levitated his reading glasses and propped them up on the bridge of his nose. The paper glowed red and suddenly it read out loud in a familiar feminine voice, "Dear Sombra, if you dare smack me ever again, you will be shrunken down into the size of a pea. Can you guess what I'll do to that pea sized you? I bet you do. So some word of advice. NEVER SMACK A DEMIGOD!!!!!
Sombra gulped. Why did he still love that pony? She was insane!!! But he still did.
"Yes, Moonbug....."
"Discord?" Nightmare Moon called out for role call.
"Here!" the draconequus replied.
"Chrysalis?"
"Here," Chrysalis replied with hints of boredom.
"Sombra?"
"H-H-Here," the wounded stallion replied.
Nightmare Moon turned her head with a smile to the trembling Sombra. She had gotten revenge for last night, which actually made her day. His head had an ice pack on it since Nightmare Moon had used her magic to make him bang his own head on the wall. Discord was as red as a cherry for he had seen Sombra hit his head on the wall right in front of him.
Luna had been quiet for a while. Even when Nightmare Moon tried to talk to her she wouldn't answer. Nightmare had been wondering what happened to her. Was it something she said? Was Luna somehow dead? If Luna was dead then Nightmare Moon would be completely evil and no one could reason or reform her.
"I'm not dead idiot!" Luna shouted angrily in Nightmare Moon's head.
So you are alive.
"Duh," Luna said.
What have you been doing?
"What can I do if I'm trapped in here," Luna paced in the darkness. Even though Luna was visible, Nightmare Moon was not. Even if she was, she would just blend in with the pitch black.
Well you could of been trying to escape somehow.
"How did you guess?" Luna said.
Even in Nightmare Moon she could preform a spell. Luna called the magic in her and forced it out. Instantly Nightmare Moon appeared in her own mind.
WHAT DID YOU DO? HOW AM I IN HERE?
"I cast a spell. And in a few minutes the spell will continue and you will be no more."
Fine if I die can I say a dying joke? You know since we're practically the same pony, we always want to tell a dying joke.
"Fine hurry up!"
Why did the chicken cross the road?
"Why?"
To get to the other si- Nightmare Moon was interrupted when she disappeared.
"Nightmare?"
No response.
"Awesome!"
"NIGHTMARE MOON ARE YOU ALIVE?!"
The shout came from Discord as he shook her. He was screaming at the top of his lungs. In one corner of the dark throne room was Sombra, he was as close as he could but in a safe distance. Chrysalis was smiling. Why was she smiling? Was it the fact that she could tell that Sombra was wanting to be at Nightmare Moon's side but didn't have the courage for it.
"I am alive," Luna said, now that she was in control she was able to do what ever she wanted.
She looked around and looked at her hooves. They were turning blue in the worse possible moment. Immediately she turned them back to normal as fast as she could. She looked at the villians before her make sure they didn't see anything. Luckily they hadn't, or she thought they hadn't. Chrysalis had the face of confusion mixed with anger on, but she said nothing.
"You scared us especially Sombra!" Discord said calming down but still worried.
"WAS NOT!" Sombra shouted. He stood up and stomped a hoof.
"Was too. He totally was," Chyrsalis said. She grinned at Sombra and looked to Luna/Nightmare Moon, only to go back to her angry and confused face.
Luna wiped the drool that came from her still Nightmare Moon body. She stood up from the throne and walked over to Sombra. Using her magic, lifted him up and set him on the ground standing by her side.
"Follow me," Luna said. She looked to the others and said "Stay here. I am going to talk to Sombra."
They listened and stayed. Luna walked out the door and to another room. Sombra followed, not knowing if he was going to be ultimately punished.
On the porch of the black castle sat two very well known villians. The wind outside in the cold enternal night played with their hair as they sat outside, watching their dark and now falling kingdom kingdom.
"Sombra...." The word sliced through the silence like a sharp blade slashing through something.
"Yes, Nightmare?" King Sombra leaped to his feet and bowed, but he stayed in his bowing position and looked up to Nightmare Moon.
"Stop that!" Luna hissed, her words sounded harsh.
"Yes, my Queen," Sombra stood up and sat back down, confused.
"Don't call me your queen!" Luna shot back.
"Then what should I call you?"
"I don't know."
"Would you like me to call you Nightmare Moon?"
"Nevermind that, just take your stupid spell off of Discord."
King Sombra looked at Luna's face. He saw her worried but angry look. Not knowing that Nightmare Moon was no more, he looked at her, his confusion spilling over his dark face. Nightmare Moon was evil and would conquer anything, so why was she worried?
"Are you ok?" Sombra asked Nightmare Moon.
"Just do it!" The jet black alicorn shouted, almost going into the Royal Canterlot Voice.
"How did you figure out I put a spell on him?"
"Your hints to Chysalis."
"Oh, well at least someone figured it out."
"Take it off."
"As you wish," Sombra said.
He stood up and his horn bubbled green and purple, his eyes turned green with red pupils as his hair flung everywhere. The world felts as if everything stopped what it was doing, then moments later, went back to normal along with King Sombra.
"Now I have a question for you," Luna said with a small but sad smile.
"Yes, go on," Sombra was now curious about what Luna had to ask him.
"Do you want to stay evil?"
King Sombra backed away from the sad Nightmare Moon, turning back into the power filled version of himself with a snarl showing his sharp, white teeth.
"Who are you?" He asked coldly.
"The same mare I have always been. A monster."
"That's not Nightamare Moon!"
"I know that's not."
"Luna is that you?" King Sombra asked. His eyes no longer glowed and his face turned soft.
"If I tell you will you attack me?" Luna asked looking in his eyes.
"No. I promise."
"Good. Yes it is me Luna."
King Sombra was filled with different emotions. He looked scared, then angry, next confused, last hopeful.
"Oh my Celestia. How did you take-"
"SSHHHH!"
Suddenly Queen Chrysalis burst through the doors that kept any sound from outside from escaping.
"Uh Ha! I knew you changed you little brat!" She yelled.
"What are you talking about? I am still your leader and you may not talk to me like that!" Luna shouted back.
"You aren't now!" Queen Chrysalis snapped. She watched as Nightmare Moon stood up and look down at her.
"Yes I am!" Luna countered. Using her tallness as her advantage. Trying to not hurt Chrysalis that bad she shoved Chrysalis in the chest.
Queen Chrysalis was about to attack back until something rammed into to her. It was Sombra. He bared his sharp teeth at Chrysalis and growled. He was in a pouncing position. He looked at Chrysalis as she stood up after falling from his attack. She laughed an evil laugh.
"Just wait till I tell Discord about you two!" She laughed. She grinned a very evil grin and teleported away from the duo.
"Thank you for saving me," Luna said. She kissed King Sombra on the cheek and was suddenly turned back to her normal blue self.
Sombra leaped back as she shrunk a little. She was only a few inches taller now since she wasn't Nightmare Moon anymore.
"How?" she questioned.
Sombra didn't answer but he pulled her into the castle to stop Chrysalis.
"So you're good now?" She asked.
"I guess so," he answered and they ran off after the changeling queen.
Now in her real body, Luna had pure control and no pony could stop her.
She raced with King Sombra, who had just turned good a few moments ago. They raced through the black and blue halls that were decorated with pictures showing Celestia's and the Elements of Harmony's fall. Luna gave one hate filled look at the picture of Nightmare Moon banishing her own sister to the moon.
"Which way did she go?" Luna swished her head back and forth between the two halls.
"Left!" King Sombra shouted as he pulled Luna in his magical grip.
She soon was able to follow him as they got closer to Queen Chrysalis. Chrysalis turned her head back to them and smiled. She stopped and right when King Sombra was by her she kicked out with her hind legs. King Sombra was instantly hit in the chest and fell on his highnee. He gripped his chest and breathed heavily. The evil queen continued her escape as Luna fell to King Sombra's side.
"Are thee ok?" She said. Once again We must relearn how to talk common.
"Ye-yes."
Luna grabbed his head in her front hooves and made him face her. She looked for any sign of major injuries. She then touched his chest. They both winced as something cracked.
"We believe that thee has a broken rib," Luna said,her voice very shaky.
"I think so too."
Luna then got back up from his side and used her horn to grab him. She then raced to the last place she had seen Chrysalis. She used her horn to make him as comfortable as possible while she ran.
"Yes you must hurry they are on their way!"
The voice came from a shut door. There was defenataly a pressence in their. It had seemed that a male and a female were talking, most likely Discord and Queen Chrysalis.
"And what are they going to to about us. I am a god of Chaos, I can stop them."
"Yes but since Nightmare Moon was able to banish our enemies to the moon she can mostly likely trap you in stone."
"Yes but she is no longer Nightmare Moon."
"She still has the power of the moon."
"Good Point."
All the sudden a blue mare with a grey stallion in her magical grip burst threw the doors. She had a pokerface on showing that she was ready to make any move without them reacting first.
"Listen thy bad ones! We can either fight or resume our peace filled rein. I will not let thy rule evilly any more!" Luna shouted.
"Yeah what sh-she said!!!" King Sombra yelled through his pain. Luna set him down on the ground and he shakily was able to stand up.
"Look at these little heros! Trying to bet us even though we are part of a team! My changelings are fed, your night is enternal, Sombra is a proud and happy tyrant, and Discord has chaos!" Queen Chrysalis said.
"But if we all have these things why must we need to be evil?" Luna said back.
"Exactly!!" Sombra said.
"To keep a perfect rein of course!" Queen Chrysalis said very smoothly and slithery.
"Nothing is perfect! Not even ME!!!"
The three turned their heads to Discord. He had a angry face on and was moments later he was up in Queen Chrysalis's face.
"That's why we're going to make things back to normal!" he said in her face.
"NORMAL!!! WHY IS EVERY PONY BEING TURNED GOOD??!!" she shrieked.
"We are no longer evil changeling and if you care to join you may." Luna said.
"NEVER!!" Queen Chrysalis shouted.
"Your choice," Discord said and snapped. Queen Chrysalis was turned into a filly.
"Is you turning ponies into fillies now your thing?" King Sombra questioned.
"Why yes it is. Yes it is."
Luna and Sombra looked at each other they both were at the moon. The statues stared at them. There was no comfort on this giant rock. Luna regretted what Nightmare Moon had done to her friend and family. She looked at Celestia's face, who still had a big bushy mustache on her face. Luna turned her attention to her sister and wiped off the black marker. It smeared but it was hardly noticeable.
"Are you ready?"
Luna looked back at Sombra and nooded. They both used their magic to teleport all nine of them including the statues. It had been easy for Nightmare Moon to send ponies to the Moon but this was Luna who was weaker.
They ended up right in the middle of the throne room. It was back to normal like everything else except Queen Chrysalis who was still a filly. Discord was chasing around the filly when the group appeared. He stopped and stared at them. He mumbled something about how they took long but Luna didn't care.
Her magical blue hair was played with by the air. Luna smiled as he ponies were turned back to normal even Rainbow Dash who was a filly on the moon. Discord even took off the banana suits.
"Luna is that you?" Celestia asked, her voice shaky as she approached her sister.
"Yes we are," Luna replied. She mentally kicked herself for using the royal we. But it was habit.
Celestia pulled her sister into a big hug. She wouldn't let go until Twillight came up to them.
"Why were you Nightmare Moon? I thought that we got rid of all of the Nightmares."
"You did, but there was more Nightmares. We were forced to become that monster."
Twillight stretched her wings out and turned her heads to the girls. Rarity was talking to her horn and how it was never going to leave her again, Pinkie was bouncing around, Dash was flying and doing air flips, Fluttershy had fainted in Discord's grasp, and AJ, her second in command was checking every pony.
Twillight then realized that King Sombra was right by Luna's side.
"Why is Sombra still here?"
"He has become good and is going to apologize to you girls," Luna replied matter-of-factly.
"Really?" Rainbow Dash said joining the three princesses.
"Yes. Right Sombra?"
"Yes. Im very sorry."
Every ponies gazed landed on him. Most of them shocked and one only happy. Even Fluttershy woke up from her faint.
"I guess I am too," Discord said.
"Well where is Sombra going to live?" AppleJack asked. "He could always try livin' with me in the barn."
"I am pretty sure he is fine in the castle," Luna said.
"REALLY??!!" King Sombra asked. Luna nodded and Sombra leaped in the air and almost hit his head on the roof (and those roofs are tall!)
"I can't help but feel like we're missing," Pinkie said.
The entire group including mini Chrysalis all put their hoof or claw to their chin and said ''Hhmmmmmmmmmmmm..."
It was very lonely on the moon, especially since her friends and aunt had been teleported back to Equestria. Cadence was the only pony who wasn't in stone and a banana suit. She was sitting on the moon and staring off Into space (LITTERALLY!)
Who would forget the Princess of Love? Clearly Sombra and Luna since they were the ones who had taken Celestia back.
"I will soon have my revenge Auntie Luna!" she shouted. Nobody replied.
Time was all they needed. They sound of hooves clopping on the ground, echoed in the halls. The were going to the throne room.
"Why do we need to go to the throne room again?" The very tired and sweaty King Sombra asked.
"For dramatic reveal," Discord said right behind Nightmare Moon. He kept some distance from that mare for he was still worried about being gobbled up.
"Only if it's okay with my Moonbug," King Sombra said looking at Nightmare Moon hopefully.
Nightmare Moon groaned. She was just messing around when she said " Somby" and clearly didn't realize that Sombra actually had a thing for her. She even thought if he did he would of gone to someone else by now.
"Yes Sombra, I do agree with this. If I didn't, we wouldn't be doing this," Nightmare Moon said harshly. She noticed that Sombra didn't notice the harshness in her voice.
When Nightmare Moon noticed the throne room few steps away she slowed her pace. Knowing that the door was currently locked it would be dumb to try to bust in. The others clearly didn't notice her slowing down and kept racing to the door.
THUD
"Ow!" Queen Chrysalis yelled.
"Why didn't that work?" Discord asked himself.
"Silly fillies. This door was locked! If you paid attention, you would of would of saw that I stopped running!" Nightmare Moon laughed.
Both Discord and Chrysalis crossed their arms in unison and frowned.
Celestia burst in the throne room after seeing the eclipse. Fear flooded her body and her heart skipped a beat when she saw her sister as Nightmare Moon. Luckily the throne room was lit up by candles.
"Well,well,well. Looks like you found me," Nightmare Moon said with a smile. She slid into the golden throne that Celestia usually sat in.
"Sister, why are you doing this again?" Celestia asked.
"Isn't it clear? I know that many ponies still don't admire my night!" Nightmare Moon hissed. She leapt from her seat and tackled Celestia to the ground.
"I DO!"
"Then WHY weren't you at my shooting stars show?"
"I had very important business!"
"Like what?"
"A manticore was attacking Manehatten!"
"THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK ME TO HELP YOU?!?!? YOU KNOW I CAN ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE WITH THEM!!!!!!"
"I don't know."
"That's what I thought!" Nightmare Moon said. She got off of Celestia and flicked her ear with a grin and began to walk back to the throne.
"If you insist on battle then let us begin." Celestia said with a sigh.
"Ok," Nightmare Moon said as a grin grew bigger on her face. She sat down on the throne as the room began to grow dark. Suddenly, it had King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis, and and Discord inside of it.
"No, this can't happen. How?" Celestia said to herself. She backed up and bumped into a changeling that was growling at her.
This was not good. Not good at all.
Celestia threw the changeling into the wall and ran to the throne room doors. Before she even reached them, they slammed closed. She rammed into the doors and banged against them. "No........"
