It’s a month before Hearts and Hooves day. Twilight has never had a special somepony for Hearts and Hooves day, and she is determined to have one this year. So she searches for eligible stallions in ponyville. Upon noticing that none of the stallions pique her interest, Twilight is about to give up hope for a date when she notices there are several mare couples around town. She is then opened up to a whole different kind of relationship then the one she was hoping for. After several hours of internal struggling and nervous pacing Twi finally talks herself into considering having a relationship with a filly. She then considers who she would like to have a relationship with and knowing a month isn’t much time to build a romantic basis from scratch. Twi then has a brilliant idea to ask each of her friends. She invites them to the castle and after a lot of nervous fidgeting and internal struggling she finally lays out her idea to her friends. They each have mixed reactions to this. Eventually after they have all given excuses about why they can’t date twi is left with rarity and rainbow to decide between. In order to help her make a decision to goes on a date with each of them. She then chooses rainbow dash. They go on several more dates together. Rainbow is excited at the potential of having a special somepony to call her own. However there was a miss comminication when twi was explaining her idea of dating and had only meant for the relationship to last until Hearts and Hooves day, but not afterwards. Rainbow beilives she is in it for the long haul. On the night of hearts and hooves day twidash makes love. To twi it’s to thank rainbow for the wonderous time they had togethe rover the entire month. To rainbow it’s the beginning of a beatiful relationship. Twi leaves from rainbow’s cloud house the next morning feeling sorry about herself because the relationship had come to an end. She lays awake the rest of the night crying to herselh and snuggling with a pillow. When rd wakes up the next morning she’s confused because twi is gone and then realizes that twi is most likely feeling shy about what had happened between them and didn’t want to make things awkward the next morning. After breakfast she goes to ponyvile feeling very content and happy with her new life she was going to have with twi. However as the day progresses and she still hasn’t seen twi anywhere she begins to get worried and goes to the library to see what’s bothering twi. After several moments of knocking rd finally breaks the door down and rushes into the library only to find a folded up note on the kitchen counter stained with drops of tears. The note explains that wi had ecided to go to canterlot for a while becuase she couldn’t bare to see rd and ache for her everytime she did. Rainbow finally realizes that twi had meant the relationship to last only for a month. At first she’s hurt and angry that twi would lead her along like that. Then she pulls herself together and decides to fight for twi’s heart. She flies all the way to canterlot an begins searching everywhere for her. She eventually goes to canterlot castle and demands an audiance with princess celestia. The guards fefuse and she barges into the throne room anyway demanding to know where twi is. Celestia says she’s with cadance staying in the guest quarters. Rd rushes as fast as she can towards the guest queaters. Twi is crying with cadence explaing how she’s a horrible friend. Candence is comforting her when rainbow barges in shocking them both. Twi is afraid to look at rd becuase she believes the pegasus is mad at her for leading her on. Rd asks cadance to leave so she can speak with twi alone. After their discussion where they explain everything and admit their trues feelings and their desire to be together they head back together to ponyville on the train snuggling and occasionally making out with each other. When they get back to ponyville they announce their new relationship to their friends, and pinkie throws a massive party. They slip out of hte party and watch the stars in the sky with. Eventually rainbow slips a wing around twi bringing her closer to whisper how glad she is that twi chose her. Twi is delighted she now has a special somepony. Evtually as the party dies down and the gueasts leave twidash go back to twi’sroom for another romp in the sheets. This time they both know it’s an official start to their relationship together. And they fall asleep together with twi not being able to wait for her new life with rd to start the next morning. Chapter one. Opening scene Night time has settled over ponyville everypony is asleep in their beds, all except for Twilight Sparkle who is lying away in her bed snuggling with a special pillow she had enchanted to be the size of a pony. She’s sad that she doesn’t have a special somepony for herself especially since Hearts and Hooves day is so close. She gets out of bed and walks onto the balcony and gazes of the small town of ponyville thinking that there has to be an eligible stallion somewhere out there. Then she gets an idea and begins writing down the names of the stallions in ponyville. The next morning she’s feeling nervous as she goes out to visit the stallions. The first one she visits is thunderlane, he can’t be her date becuase he’s already with cloudchaser. The second stallion she visits is DR whooves who is already with derpy. The third stallion is Big Mac, as she’s walking to the farm she considers what it would be like to date the shy stallion. There would be no real communication betweem them, she wouldn’t be able to alk about anything personal as Big Mac isn’t very interested in that kind of stuff. She doesn’t even bother with bulk biceps, that guy is far too loud and intense for her. Middle scene. Twi is sulking at a ponville restaurant feeling sorry for herself a plate of untouched hayburgers in front of her. She can’t beilive she couldn’t find a date for hearts and hooves day and she’d have to spend another year alone snuggling and crying with her pillow. Just she’s about to leave, she notices Lyra and BonBon sitting at a different table in the restaurant they are whispering and giggling with each other before they lean in and share a kiss. Twi suddenly realizes there are many more potential special someponies if she looks for a mare companion. She is both conflicted and and excited about this and she goes back to library to think about this. As she’s nervously pacing twi struggles to come to terms with the prospect of dating another mare. She’s worried about what other ponies think about her, and what it might do for her social status. After several hours of pacing and debating twi finally comes to a decision. She’s going to buck what society thinks of her as she cares more about her personal happiness and she’s ready to resign her royal status if she has to. With that decision made twi begins making a list of the potentional mares to date only to realize there are so many and she didn’t know which of them were already in a relationship. She also didn’t know many of them very personally, so she decides to go out and ask each of friends. Ending scene. The first pony she goes to is Applejack. She is bucking apples in the orchard and greets twi as the alicorn approaches her. Twi greets back, and takes a moment to gaze over her prospective date’s body noting how firm and toned it is as the result of a life time of apple bucking. AJ clears her throat and twi is bought back to reality. She blushes and asks AJ if she could have a moment of her time, AJ agrees as she was about to take a break anyway, and twi collects the barrels of apples the earth pony has bucked and begins levitating them to the barn. AJ brings them some cold applecider and tei drinks it eagerly before getting on with her business. She explains to AJ that she is looking for a special somepony to spend hearts and hooves day with, and asks AJ if she would consider spending it with her. AJ is momentarily shocked and she just stares at Twi. She then gets her senses back, and explaonis to twi that she is more of a tradional pony who would date a stallion so as to continue on the apple family bloodline. Twi is a little put out and she leaves. The next pony she comes to is Fluttershy who just gives a little squeak at Twi before hiding behind her mane. Twi realizes asking fluttershy was a huge mistake as the mare was fat too nervous. The next pony she comes to is Pinkie Pie who is bouncing arouns sugarcube corner baking treats and generally being her normal hyperactive self. Twi is about ot announce why she is here and Pinkie goes on a massive babble explaining the exact reason why twi is there. She then apologizes to twi because she was going to spend hearts and hooves day with gummy. Twi just leaves wide eyes and throughly out of sorts. She then realizes only Rarity and Rainbow Dash are left. So she goes off to find them, and they are in the spa, Rainbow is looking really annoyed as her mane and coat are being brushed and pampered. Twi asks why Rainbow is at the spa and the pegasus explains that rarity kidnapped her and was holding her prisoner at the spa. RArity just chuckles and expalins she promised to buy rainbow a barrel of applecider next cider season. Twi then goes on yo explain why she is there. Both of them agree to go on a date with her at the same time, they look at each in surprise than back to twi who is suddenly nervous and unsure of what to do now. None of the mares want to back down so rares says twi has to choose. Twi then says she would go on a date with each of them to decide which one she would like to go with. End the chapter with Twi walking out of the back to the library wondering to herself which of her friends she was going to end up with.
