"It could grip it by the husk," Betty Bouffant suggested. Magnum rolled his eyes and exited the kitchen. Placing the turkey down on the table he turned to her.
"It's not a question of where he grips it!" He grabbed her hands and looked her in the eye, "It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry one pound a coconut."
"Well it doesn't matter. We have to serve dinner, remember?" Betty turned to return to the kitchen.
"Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velo—"
"Why does this even matter. Like, seriously, what relevance does this have to anything!?" She interrupted in agitation.
"Just listen, alright. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat it's wings forty-three times a second, right?" Magnum said whilst making a flapping motion.
"Please!"
"Am I right?"

"It's a shame that Twilight couldn't make it," Sunset Shimmer sighed. She looked out the window. The contrast of the gray skies and the bright, colorful leaves seemed to match her mood.
"On the bright side, though, we've got each other," said Rainbow Dash.
"Yeah," Fluttershy placed her hand on Sunset's shoulder, "We may not be from Equestria like Twilight, but we still care about you."
"Shouldn't you be with your families or something?" Sunset looked around the room. It wasn't all that large or fancy. The apartment was only really meant for two people to live in at most.
"Well my parents think Thanksgiving is ridiculous and Rainbow...well Rainbow never celebrates with her family unless it's Christmas," Fluttershy replied.
"Look, I know that she promised that she'd be here, but she's a princess now. Even I know she has duties and things to do." Rainbow Dash said.
"I know. It's just that I get homesick y'know. I can't go back after what I did. And—and even if I've redeemed myself, it's been to long. Twilight being here just makes it easy I guess. She was a unicorn like me and Celestia's personal student. I kinda just feel like I'm home when she's here," Sunset smiled solemnly.
__________
"Applebloom!" Applejack's voice could be heard from the Crusader tree-house.
"I'm sorry Scootaloo, I've gotta go now." Applebloom said between breaths.
"It's alright," Scootaloo giggled, "I'll be the Jedi next time. And I'm suppose to be home in like fifteen minutes anyway."
"Fine. But don't hit so hard next time!" Applebloom shouted as she ran towards the sound of Applejack's voice.
__________
Scootaloo crushed as many leaves as she could as she walked down the sidewalk. One of her favorite parts about this time of year was the falling leaves with their bright and pretty colors. But most of all was definitely the crunching of the leaves as they were stepped on. One could walk on forever as long as the rhythmic sound of crunching was there to tag along, or so Scootaloo thought.
__________
"Pinkie, shouldn't you be home with your family?" Mrs. Cake stood at the kitchen door with a look of concern on her face.
"Nah. I'm with them every year for almost every holiday, y'know. Thought it would be nice to mix it up."
"C'mon, what's really going on?"
__________
"So when's your boyfriend suppose to be here, Rarity?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Any minute now." Rarity replied.
"So why is he coming here?"
"Because he wanted to meet mom and dad." Sweetie Belle took this into consideration. She looked back at the board and then her sister again.
"Well...shouldn't he be with his parents?"
"Chess is a game that requires silence, Sweetie Belle."
"Fine," she crossed her arms.
__________
"Someday this will all be yours, Pinkie."
"What, the curtains?"
"No, not the curtains! The farm!"
"What do you mean, dad?"
"I mean that when you're all grown up and your mother and I are...otherwise located, the Pie Rock Farm shall be yours."
__________
"Thanks you guys. This was really nice," Sunset said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, 'Shy. I didn't even know you could cook," Rainbow Dash said as leaned back with her feet on the table.
"Well, my mom did start teaching me when I was really young." Fluttershy grinned and turned to Sunset, "You have friends now, Sunset. You don't have to be alone on holidays."
"I know," Sunset said. As comforting as it was, she thought that it was sort of an odd time to bring it up. She pulled Fluttershy and Dash into a hug.
__________
"Daddy, can you pass the salt please?" Rarity said.
"Sure," Magnum reached out for the salt. Zenith, Rarity's boyfriend, went to grab it at the same time.
"Ooh. Daddy. Uh...I thought that she said..." He smiled nervously as Magnum stared at him.
__________
Applejack closed the door and walked down the stairs. "Applebloom's sleepin'," she said. Big Mac nodded and started cleaning the table. "Remember when mom and dad died. The day before Thanksgiving and Applebloom was too young to know what was happening'"
"Eeyup. Why?"
"Ah don't know. Just gets me down even year." She sighed and looked out the window. "Sometimes Ah wish it was me instead."
"Don't talk like that. Besides, ya really think they'd want ya in their place?"
"No. It's.just hard sometimes, y'know."
"Eeyup. Ya just gotta be thankful that we still got each other, appreciation and all."
__________
"I gotta go, I promised Scootaloo that I'd drop by at some point," Rainbow Dash said she got up from her chair.
"I understand. Thanks again for coming."
"Anytime, Shimmer."
"Hey! I've told you to not call me that!" Sunset Shimmer frowned.
"Bye!"
"So I guess it's just us," Fluttershy said.
"Yup." Sunset looked outside the window. She watched as the the wind blew through the trees and swirled the leaves to and fro. She watched as cars passed by every now and then. She watched the houses off in the distance and the yards with families together playing and having a good time. And as a lone pedestrian walked her dog she watched.
"I guess I should go," Fluttershy said. Sunset turned and blinked.
"Oh. Well, you don't have to. You can stay as long as you want," she said. "Or you can leave if you want."
"Oh no. I'm fine, I can stay." Fluttershy could feel her face grow warmer. "You sure I'm not bothering you?"
"Not at all. I really enjoy you company, actually."
__________
"And we got into an fight about it." Pinkie Pie said.
"And that's why you're not with them right now?" Mrs. Cake asked. Pinkie just nodded.
"I don't know why, but it pissed me off. I mean, I just don't want to stay with the farm. And why me? Why couldn't it be someone else?"
"I don't know, dearie. If you want, you can stay with us."
__________
Twilight entered her castle and Spike hopped off her back. "You think we can still go see Sunset Shimmer?" he asked.
"I don't know Spike. It's been a long day and I'm exhausted."
"Please?"
"Fine."
