After the events of Velvet Plush, Luna wants to tell Twilight she's in love with her. She tells Celestia, who is surprised and a little jealous since she'd had her eye on Twilight as well. Celestia comes up with a plan to punish Twilight for using dark magic so frivolously and will not fully disclose to Luna just what her planned punishment is, but she promises that it will not hurt badly.

Luna goes to Ponyville to make her confession and hopefully consummate her relationship, while in Canterlot Celestia uses the enchanted plushie to give Twilight one last lesson as her teacher - a lesson that Twilight will never forget.
