The Wrath of Destructor
Thorough Advertising and Vandalism
Previous ChapterChapter 2
Three days had passed since the stranger came to town. It had been wandering all around the town, never stopping to talk to anypony or even acknowledge their existence. Not even stopping to eat or sleep. There was no need to. She was really investigating the infrastructure, but they needn't know that. Eventually, they lost interest, going about their normal lives. Until the third day, on a Friday the thirteenth of March (the second of 2015, with another on the way in November) nothing really happened. Still boring days for the townsfolk. But on that night, everyone who could afford to disappeared.
Earlier that day, Pinkie had been spreading the word about something. "Come tonight to the hugest, sickest party I have ever done! I will defy the Friday the 13th bad luck!" (No, seriously. Every time there is a Friday the 13th occurrence in Equestria, something dies. It is a cursed date in their world.) Pinkie went a tad bit overboard on the advertising. She had Rainbow Dash fly a little banner through the sky. She put up a billboard. She even "borrowed" the hot air balloon so she could make it rain flyers. Though in her defense, you could say that that's just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie as usual.
It seems that I have the place to myself. I wonder... The stranger thought with a smirk on her face, hidden under the hood she donned. She went over to the Celestia statue in the town. Oh Celestia, what to do with you. What I could do to you if you were really here. It tried to savor the thought in it's head at that time, but it slipped away. To much did from these long years. I suppose I'll have to settle for this until you get here, won't I? She ignited her sword. With a flick of the wrist, it soared into the air. The rapid rotation of the blade kept it in the air long enough to slice the statue's head clean off and make a return trip back to the hand that let it loose. Letting out a quiet chuckle, she walked off, thinking Almost as satisfying as at would be on the real thing.
The being fired a projectile out of it's cloak, toppling the rest of the statue. Upon impact on the ground, the statue broke apart, crumbling form the instability created. On the Statue's head, she carved two words: "False God" My work is done here. For now. As soon as clear this rubble I should set up shop. the center is a prime location. The being tore at the air with her sword. At the slash, a portal opened up. Not a stable and safe one, but a tear in the fabric of space-time, only being maintained by its sheer willpower. She reached in the rift and pulled out an assortment of different items: a tent, a safe, and some weapon components. But then she sensed another presence nearby. She closed the portal. She would not risk exposure so soon. Not when she was so close! With haste, she hid the items she acquired under the rubble.
But she did not see the other entity as she thought she would. Rather, it hid behind the side of a building. And a violet aura of magic seemed to be coming from that area. The next thing she knew, she was in a dark area with lots of whispers. Then a light turned on. And another. And another. And all of a sudden there were hundreds of multicolored light illuminating the area.
"Party Rock Anthem" began to play, and hundreds of ponies began cheering at the beginning of Pinkie's biggest party yet. The stranger's jaw dropped at the magnitude of the event. They've managed to create more in a few days than I can in a year! In any case, no more hiding. I'm exposed. She dropped down the hood, revealing a metal head, green reptilian eyes, and a smile with sharp teeth, but a smile nonetheless. Then she disconnected the part of her hood concealing her equine body. A black coat, green horseshoes, and a "unique" cutie mark and tail were now visible. The remainder of the jacket concealed a bipedal's upper body, implying that her body shape was like a centaur. Like Tirek, but he was banished to Tartarus 1000 years ago. Barely anyone remembered his existence, or much else from that age.
Might as well keep up the charade a little bit longer. This doesn't change the plans much. And she let the party roll.
