When the shadows receded. They were in the Darkus District. *SMACK* "H-HOW could you???!! We're not romantic! Now if you'll excuse me, I need a hot bath." Said a blushing Jestear. as she hurried to the aforementioned 'hot bath'. as she left the book with Vladaneer.
I love her most when anger's hottest, and I can stand her least at her calmest,and that just one bean on the hill . Then there is this,this thing. I wonder if it's maker left us any clues on how to get you open. AH HA something has been carved in the spine. Vladaneer thought, rubbing some dirt into the book's indents.
'To open me one will fail where friends will not.'
Best do the Haos thing to do; Meditate on it. He might as well, he sure as the void not not gonna get any more sleep to day.
Jestear meanwhile was up to his neck in a volcanic hot spring crying and wishing she hadn't been so hard on her big strong friend who makes her tingle when she is near him. "Ugh, So is this a love-hate relationship??"
Just then lady Vixen Elfin, one of the three (four?) best Aqus warrior Bakugan, dipped her webbed foot in to the hottish-warm spring water. "Oh ho!! how does a Haos Bakugan come to the water to sulk? Hmm-mh, thought so he made a dummy macho move, So Elfin-chan what his name is and what he did."
"How could you tell my-lady? my best-est of my best friends dragged me though a dark slime wash by using consecutive abilities his name at least the one I know is Darkus Vladaneer." Jestear said wiping her tears with the back of her glove.
"Believe I know, and how does he make you feel?" The blond pig-tailed Aqus Bakugan asked gently in her feminine froggy croak.
"Like whalloping him with my Lv.2 battle gear Ability then hitting him with my 'Shining Recover'." The masked Haos Bakugan exhaled.
"sounds like you might like like him huh?"
Jestear just blushed, then decided to change the subject. "Anyway I found the oddest thing; ? A card case for Bakugan. Not the one vestals' use, or I'm pretty sure they don't make cases sized for us. It may be locked now but by my worth as a Haos Scientist I can will open that case!" Splashing lady Elfin in the midst of her vigor.
"Hey say it don't wave it." Said a soaked, laughing Elfin. A playfully devious grin plastered on her face. "Or taste my 'Stealth Mirage', 'Water Shot' combo!
"Okay! Okay! I best get a move on. You know what a Darkus is like when your late? Not pretty." The white Bakugan climbed out of the water, then toweling off by scrubbing herself with sweet scented moss, then hurried to find her Darkus friend.
"Discord it's been a week and no response! Maybe... Did something happen to the book? Did we make the decipher spell to weak? Did we send it into hostile hooves? Did it even reach any hooves Period?!" *Wahp* *Drrrrilll* *Koo-koo koo-koo* *Beep beep* *Droo droo* *Wonka wonka* "Thx D-chord I needed-hey what did U do 2 my voice? HA HA now change back @ once I mean it now. no? Then I see I have no choice but to get Fluttershy." Said a now most disgruntled Twilight.

Vladaneer was pondering if he could be friend. Sure he was likable, but there was this thing about him, he was naga's chosen, that meant the silent shard, the negative birthright was his. It invaded every aspect of his life; majorly his mind,most of his heart. His body was spared for the most part, but his soul was laced with negative energy. "
When in the days of his youth he went all out he sends every Bakugan to the Doom Dimension regardless of who was on the Gate card save for himself. Cut and bruised, but there was this Haos angelic computer-worm patching him up, she was immune to his cursed stigma,
her name was Jestear. She was always so full of life and cheer, she worked in the vestal Bakugan Research and Development (or Baku-labs for short).
Speaking of the reaper, how long did it take to take a bath? *poke . . . poke, poke.* Whatwasthat?*poke . . . poke, poke.* there it is again with this code. I'm sure of it. "Now what is the proper response?" Muttered the Darkuss Bakugan. Just then his seat revealed herself to be a Subterra Juggernoid.
"This one would expect one to vacate this one's shell at once, this one came here for a quiet nap and Naga's chosen poisoning my back."
"Then let the healers heal you .... and you leave the poor fool .... To us!" said lord Darkuss Alpha Hydranoid in his raspy tri-broken speech.
"This one thanks ye lord Alpha Hydranoid and merry tithing and good battle to you!" As the crotchety old land turtle sundered down the cave road.
"Find a place . . . . To meditate then . . . . Found it was . . . . Too good to be true?? Come see me about the silent shard if that why you were meditate.
"Vlad. There you are. I've been looking for you all over!!! i got's permission of lord Aquus Preyas, lady Aquus Vixen Elfin,
and lady Haos Saber Tegera her sageness. lady Ventus storm Skyruss, Lord Darkuss knight Percival to hold a formal royal court in three days time, that means one day to study, another to half a day to analyze and one more to organize isn't this exciting? Vlad hello?" said a spy fly projecting the image of a joker-like Haos Bakugan.
Vladaneer asked the hologram."You do know how much I despise spy flys. I went to the training grounds, come by the arena some time."
"Maybe some other time. How is the case?"
"The case has yielded a clue to open 'were one cannot, friends can.' So are you my friend?"
"What kind of question is that? Of coarse we're friends and more, you just have to ask!"
"Then get your shining shins to the Baku-Labs posthaste. I'll meetcha in two shakes of a Rattloid's tail."

"Thank you again Dr. Skalia. You too Subterra Igorre. I promise Jestear's puzzle is worth some extra down time." Vladaneer explained excitedly.
The other Bakugan maintained her ever stoic never-say-a-word demeanor as she worked the elevator manual controls. Her solemn mood only seemed to enhance Igorre's craggy mountain beauty. She was goddess-like in appearance, and on the battlefield she was a force to be reckoned with!! With her battle-gear the 'Gia Crusher' she broke into Lv.3 battle-gear abilities. Igorre also boasted a 970 Gs! (1550Gs with.) To say she was a dream lover to most Subterra( and many others too!)was like saying Bakugan like to brawl a little. As for igorre's partner was a tall, slender woman with striking red, ebony black, rich brown and bright pink spikes down her back behind a pair of over sized coke-bottle glasses, witch gave her an almost owlish look. It didn't help she wore her lab jacket one size too short, and the sleeves two sizes too long, to say nothing about the purple body-huger underneath, that went with a pair of emerald pumps. (How this fashion disaster got away?! Two words, 'who knows'.)
"Yes, yes, yes. The odd card case, I would very much like to study it. Oh! who am i kidding? They have to lock me in chains behind a neo-steel cell too stop me. By the way, you can bring igorre to the summit, myself included for that matter."
"Thank you Doctor here is the case." Vladaneer handed over the book which shrunk.

"Sorry i'm late, buuut! It took forever to find the right card vendors, had to ring some bells and not the sweet sounding type, and i got the thingamabob for the you-know-what. Isn't it you-know- when to show you-know-who,"apologized the Jester-styled Bakugan.
Skalia looked up from the screen chalk full of data and equations, her eyes blinking behind her coke bottle spectacles. "You should know where it goes, and be a dear and not hit the neo specimens again. Last time was a terrible affair."
Igorre handed two large Bakugan sized tablets, one to Jestear and one to vladaneer. It read.

The artifact has no clue to it's origin and it's cryptic messages:

3) "Chaos and friendship await you, ye who open this tome."
Conclusion:
A whole other world of new people, places and things has offered us a challenge open the "book"
and test your luck.

"Oh! we got ya a present. Now go to the training room and we'll get it ready for you." Jestear cooed. Igorre looked like she was about to erupt . . . . . into giggles.
"Okay but if this is one of there sick neo experiment gags, gate-card be damned.I will cast 'Silent Night'." Vladaneer less than compliment tone in his voice.
"You best be a jokin' mister! Cause you will like it, I hex promise that your gonna like it. Now keep that card sealed.

Igorre was typing immense amounts DNA/gate card/battle gear consternation/fusion battle gear ability card datas. While Dr. Skalia and Jestear argued what the new "stealth shocker" would do and look like.

"Dr. he doesn't need power, he needs speed, and speed means a sword!"
"I must disagree, besides two guns would be like totally awesomely badass!"
"No, no, no! A sword is also more intimidating, not to mention more macho."
"Igorre tell this joker that a gun can focus Darkus energy the best,"
"and then you can list all the pros of swords over guns. FOR THE BLIND DOCTOR 'CAUSE SHE CAN'T! "
"WELL??" the pair yelled in perfect sync.
Igorre face-palmed, shook her head, scratched under a stony chin, and shrugged then got to work in that order. In the time it would take to brew a perfect Kopi Luwak Frappuccino latte. Igorre had ten fully adapted sword/gun combos in a wide array of designs. The scientists argued and debated, then chose a champion they were sure Vladaneer would approve, (because it was his battle gear after all.)
Jestear had gone the way of the 'shock wave sword', while Dr. Skalia was the bastard child of Freddie kruger's glove and Honkin' Beam Rifle.
"Either you got's anything in chains??" Vladaneer cringed as far back as he could go.
"WHAA??" The vestal and the Haos Bakugan cried, while Igorre simply sweat-dropped and turned to the synth device, and got busy with the specs. Seconds later, the battle gear and battle gear abilities lv.1 & 2 were drawn up.
Jestear skimmed the designs. "Yes, high power, high speed an' high versatility."
"well balanced too. I must say good job Igorre, good job. Ya'l more than the worlds greatest battler, dear your the worlds best assistant."
"Does she always speak like that or, is it just me?" Vladaneer asked no one in particular.

Skalia has gotten better.
She use to speak in bi-language.
Still does when she's agitated, mostly Pig Latin and Opish,
you see Skalia is a split-then- refused mind.
The only time she NOT effected is in battle.
Then the gelatinous black substance started to crackle with silent/darkus energy.
"YES! YES!! YES!!! YEEEEEEESSS!!!! Silent EN/Darkus EN at 90/10%, 80/20%, 75/25%, 65/35%, 55/45%, 45/55% perfect!! 'Silent Lexora' battle gear fusion ability card." Jestear number crunched like she had gone mad, "good thing the silent shard makes the host harder by at least a few hundred Gs. So not to judge but, what is it like to be the 'chosen of Naga'? Come on your with friends."
To that there was such a warmth flooding the lab. Skalia beamed a lopsided smile, and if Igorre had a mouth she would have been grinning like the Tegra who ate the Skyrus. but Jestear painted smile was so gorgeous, so warm, so filled chalk full of love, Vladaneer wept.
in that one moment the feeling was all that mattered. nothing could ruin this.
*Doot doo doot* but that. For the love of battle!! what WAS that?. Well no use crying over spilled clear Baku power gel.
