He is shaking. "I'm so sorry...." he says before he puts the gun to his head. I cry out. -Crack- I close my eyes just before he pulls the trigger. There is a thud. Oops forgot to say Discord teamed up with Queen Christalis and its made it that much harder to tell if there are spies in our army or not. Many of my best stallions and mares have died to those bastards. I am Echo General of the Main Guard next to Shining Armor General of the Defense Guard and below Princess Cadence. I am a simple unicorn mare with a reddish coat, a blue mane and tail with black highlights;my eyes are the same base color as my mane but a slight shade lighter and my Cutie Mark is a flag with the New Lunar Republic symbol on it covered with a pair of crossing swords and a shower of sparks coming from the blades. Shining Armor is a unicorn stallion that has a pure white coat, he has a dark blue mane with a lighter blue mixed into it with a matching tail and his Cutie Mark is a dark purple shield with a pink star in the middle and 3 light blue stars above it. Cadence is an Alicorn like the princesses her coat is a bright pink, her mane is a trio of a hot pink, yellow, and purple and her Cutie Mark is a light blue heart surrounded by a darker blue heart and 2 gold bands. We are the leaders of the Resistance. We shall take down the Chaos lord if its the last thing we do. Pffft...IDK (Attempt 4)Original Story Pain. That's the first thing I feel as I slowly wake. "Thank you....But may I ask, Where am I?" I look around seeing a pure white pony with a red cross cutie mark and nurses hat. "Your in Ponyville Hospital dear." she said. I look at her for a minute then close my eyes to think, 'OK. So I'm in a hospital in some place called Ponyville (wherever that is) and I'm being cared for by two nurses. Did I miss anything?' I open my eyes to look around the room spotting a second bed like mine ,it was empty, a few couches, and a window looking over a small town. I then look back at the pony that spoke to me first. "What happened?" I ask her sternly. She squeaks under my gaze and begins to mumble something I could not hear. "Come again?" I ask letting up on my glare, thinking, 'Well that's a nice way to make allies..' "I found you on the edge of the Everfree forest broken and bloody. so I did the best thing I could think of: Bandage you up and take you to the hospital." I nod and say, "Thank you miss......?" I stop thinking, 'SHIT! I never got her name!' "Oh! My name is Fluttershy!" She states as she sees me panic slightly. "My name is Echo. Nice to meet you Fluttershy." I hold out my hoof with a smile. She smiles back and shakes my hoof. Then I tern my head to the other pony. "And you are?" I inquire. "Redheart." She plainly states,walking out of the room, saying something about checking other more important patients. 'Bitch.' I think before turning back to Fluttershy with a smile. "Well I guess i should thank you." She tilts her head at me and asks, "What for?" "Well for saving my life for one." I state simply. 'Damn they going all out.' I mentally shrug as I snuggle into the bed to sleep. *---------><---------* A glowing pool of water sitting in the middle of the room shows the image of the sleeping Echo. "Ah, so sweet my spell worked to perfection she has no memory of what happened." A voice in the shadows states. The water ripples and the scene changes to that of Celesta and Luna talking over dinner. "And the princesses know nothing about the coming doom." the shadow states letting out a demented crackle before the image vanishes. The Mines (Attempt 1)Original Story My life......What can I say? The lavender earth pony screamed in agony as a giant slab of rock fell onto her hind legs. "Aaaggghhhh! Somepony! Anypony! Help!" She started sobbing in pain as the rocks moved and shifted threateningly above her. "Hel-" She never finished her sentence as the rocks collapsed onto her, silencing her voice... forever. ^Command Central Level 14 Hall 7 "Dammit! Another tunnel just collapsed, boss!" Called out a dark brown stallion to the head pony. The mare glared at him, her orange coat bristling in anger. "Where?" "Tunnel 18 of section 83." He whimpered as he cowered under her silted blood red eyes. "Ya mean our main coal tunnel?" "Yes?" He said nervously, slowly backing away from the furious pony. He was dead in the next minute as she bucked him directly in the chest. She sighed and fixed her now bloody Stetson, trying to calm herself before her blood-lust could take over. "Corporeal Red, are there any new... 'recruits' ready?" The red and blue mane and tailed pony shook her head, a little blood dripping off her black coat. "I'm sorry to say, Lady Applejack, that the games are not for another 2 weeks." "Then move it up, dammit!" She ordered. "You know what happened last time, remember?" Applejack flinched, she did indeed remember what had happened. It was a mess. "Fine," She conceded. "But as soon as they start, tell me. We need to replace the 4 we lost and build up our forces." She broke out into a fit of cruel and twisted laughter as her plans fall into place. ???? (Attempt 2) part 2=10 years later= I jolt awake and jump up huffing and sweating. Damn it... I think. Its the same one again.. I sit there as my breathing steady's as my heart slows from the nightmare. I try to think about what the dream was about but its already gone. I sigh. "Might as well start the day..." I whisper to myself. I jump from my bed in a huff and head twords the bathroom. I turn on the shower and step in letting my mane hang in my face as the water calms me farther. I grab the shampoo and look at the bottle. There is a mare on the bottle rubbing at her mane as the bubbles from the shampoo float up to the name, witch is in cursive, Royal Revere! And under it: Enjoy the feeling of a spring breeze threw your mane! I sigh. Damn-it mom I told you how much I hate this! I smile knowing that she was only trying to spite me, knowing that she did love me, no matter my faults. I snicker as I remember the time I broke all her china with a simple dice-charge of my horn. Well I did say sorry. I think to myself. Then I sigh again. Damn being thirteen sucks. I finish my shower and go over to the sink and smile. I bring out the toothbrush and paste and brush my teeth to finish my morning routine. As I leave the bathroom I raze my nose to the air as I smell the familiar smell of Jade's homemade pancakes. My nose wrinkles a bit. "Shit..." I say out loud, only to cover my mouth quickly as I look around. I drop my hoof and let out a breath in relief. I'm in the clear! "When you tip the scales Sister." A gruff voice behind me says. "Dark." I greet. "Echo." He states. I turn to my brother the dark navy blue unicorn just as he sits to my left. "Why must you torture yourself Echo?" He says as he looks me over. "I don't know Dark...." I sigh as I turn to look at the puddle next to me to see the same red coat, and black and blue mane and a horn pushing out of my head. "Why don't you let me do it?" he asks. "Because I still love my creations." I state as I turn back to the town. He sighs as he goes up to my side to look over the town with me. "You know it ends the same way every time sister..." He says dully. "Yes, I do.....And no matter how many times I see it I-" I say with a shaky voice, "-I hate to see them suffer Dark...But I don't want them to die." He nuzzles me. "I know." He states. "Look away, Sister.." he says as he nudges me over. I turn away so he can work his magic. Just as he does so I magically seal my ears. I see a flash of light and the flickering of my shadow as I sob for my creations. What could have been hours or seconds later I turn still crying to the burning crater that was the town that a few minutes ago sat there. "W-Why must it hurt so?" I choke out. He nuzzles me as he speaks "Because you care, Sister..." I nod as I look it over. Tears drying as a determined look crosses my face. I focus on my magic. Then the crater flattens out only to be covered by a lush forest and plant life. I sniff. "It begins again..." I state planely. "And so it shall end..." Dark says. I look down sadly then vanish with a gust of wind. He sighs. "Why do you do this Echo?" He says before vanishing in a flash of light.
