Chapter 1: Knives aren't good for your eyesight
Sunday. The worst of days, due to the fact that work lingers around the corner, driving you insane with its's constant nagging feeling in the back of your mind. I can hear it, calling to me: "you have work tomorrow," my mind tells me. "You should sleep now," it begs.
Good thing I love torturing myself with sleep deprivation, right? Anyways, enter my room: cabinets line the walls, filled with assorted items and clothes, with various bags hanging on the knobs of the dressers. The tops of the cabinets were filled with various items, like a clock, lamp, glue, even a piggy bank! Four of them, actually. If it isn't obvious yet, I like to keep things. I'm no hoarder, believe me- but I like to keep relatively organized, with lots of things. I suppose it does pass the time, putting things away? Either way, my habits reflect in game.
Heh, maybe I do go too far with storage space I think to myself, as I position my tiny character to view the rows upon rows of assorted chests lining the floor to the ceiling. Then again, I have no boundaries here. Moving the tiny, purple bearded man with pressing of buttons, I begin to leave him where I always do before I leave this save: the bedroom.
Well, that's enough of legitimate play for one night, i'm getting bored of mining and grinding. Playing the "right way" is fun, but sometimes you just want to sit back, relax, and cheat the hell out of your games. Why? I ask myself. "Simply because I can!" I exclaim, verbally finishing the thought in my head. That might cause problems if I do that in public, though. Along with several other things I won't talk about in public. Being a fan of My Little Pony gives me break practice on how to avoid "spilling the beans" though.
"What boss do I chose to completely obliterate tonight?" I think to myself, pulling up Cheat Engine 2.0 and readying for the flurry of item giving. I'll need vampire knives, those have always been a favorite, and ill also shove hallowed armor on. Hey, I at least want some form of a challenge, right? "Yeah, this is all i'll need to beat a few Eye of Cthulhu's" I tell myself, sinking down into my swivel chair, comfy in my sweatpants. Gotta get relaxed for an easy fight. Scanning down the Cheat list's "Spawn Bosses" I locate the Eye i'm looking for.
x gun give it to ya I think, and quickly press the Spawn in option five times. "The Eye of Cthulhu has awoken!" appears in the small chat box in a corner of the screen, as I hastily jump out of the way of an approaching eye. Currently it was midnight in-game and outside, perfectly setting the mood. Running around the wooden arena I had setup for past bosses, evading all of them was a cakewalk. It's times like these, late at night... I think to myself, as more knives shower my opponent with increasing speed. ...That I really love spending my time on this game. Even if I am cheating. Who's going to find out, anyways? It was at that point that all of the Eye's were down for the count, chunks of them scattered throughout the arena. I sit back in my chair, admiring the handiwork of destruction I caused, before simply turning and walking away, heading for the bedroom I setup in this save file. "Ending a day of Terraria in bed, before actually falling asleep In bed. Good way to stop it all." Upon pressing ESC, however, I notice a new option right below "Save and Exit."
I never noticed it updated when I opened Steam, what is this? I question myself, ready to click the button I had in mind. Reading aloud the option as I click my mouse, the option informs me: "Send To Game." Whatever could that mean?
...nothing happens. "Is it... working? Does the option need to have Steam open or something?" I ask this to myself as I repeat the process of clicking the text, again and again. Still, nothing happens. How... strange. Oh well, I'll search on the wiki tomorrow what this new implement does. I'm much too tired to care about it now. With that final thought, I put the computer on "Hibernate", and walk up and over to my bed. Looking around the shadows of my room, the only light visible is the digital clocks time of 12:17 and the flickering lights of the computer.
This... this is the end to a good day. I think to myself, enjoying the peace of mind given to me in this single moment. A good day indeed, goodnight world. And the shadows fade into black, as sleep takes hold.
