Rules Of The Truecard
Remember The Rules
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was not long until all of the Canterlot High student body knew that Sunset and I were now an official couple.
And yet... somehow, even though it was just a few days ago, a certain dynamic was made between the two of us:
Sunset was the bad girl type who always looked for some kind of danger, whether it's in the romance between us or just in life itself. But she wouldn't hurt anyone unless she had no other choice, but that didn't stop her from the fact that she was still loved by her friends for the good choices that she made. And in a funny way, with a half-joke coming in, they believed that I was the 'good choice'.
I was the strong, yet nerdy type whose always had to take it all slowly on every aspect of his life. Both socially and romantically, of course. But not only that, I was also the rising hero who came out of the ashes of my past and made myself the better person for it. But my strength was only used to stop those who would use their strength against those who were weak. But I was never the kind of guy to take my friendships for granted. Nor was I a bully.
And so, in the entire student body's conclusion, unless you counted those who were in the stereotypical cliques, we were the best couple in all of the school.
Never mind the fact that we always kept our romance outside of the school, as per the school rules, but when we got outside of the campus, there was fun to be had. Whether it was with Sunset alone on a romantic date, or with her friends in a group outing. Either way, we were adored by (nearly) all, including our friends. And among the staff, both the Principal and the Vice Principal had given their congratulations to the both of us.
Oh, keep in mind that I was just as surprised as Sunset was whenever I heard their applauds for us. But the one pair of people that really embarrassed me with their approvals?
.....
My parents.
.....
One day, after about two weeks of dating my hot girlfriend, Sunset had decided to do something that really set me up for a bad walk-in joke. But there was just no humor in what she had to say to me on that day. And it all started with an ordinary day that passed by in our school. After putting my textbooks into my locker, all while keeping my notebooks up to date with my assignments, I walk up to the front entrance when lo and behold, she is standing there.
"You must have been waiting for me, huh?" I ask her with a grin.
"Yep," she answers simply with a blush while twiddling her thumbs. "Hey, Casino?"
"What's up, Sunset?" I ask her again.
"Do you, uh..." she trails off with a major blush spreading to her face. I could only wait until I was able to hear what she wanted from me today. Of course, I had my own idea as to what we could do, but I must have been on the wrong wavelength because the next thing I know, she asks me this one deal-breaker that I would rather have not complied her at all with.
"Would it be alright if I met your parents today?"
Whatever sounds were playing in my head had come to a crashing halt when I heard that request.
"Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! Wait a minute!" I stopped her from going on. "You have no idea what my parents are like! None whatsoever!" I started to protest to her. But as I was about to tell her the reason for why not, she puts a finger to my lips to shush me right there.
"This is where I speak up, handsome," she begins with a serious look towards me. "First: Drive us to your parents," she orders me in some instruction. "Second: Do not say a word against your parents. And finally..." she delays before finishing her speech. "If you obey my instructions, you just might get some of..." she slowly snakes a finger on her whole body as she whispers, "this." with a look that I never saw before on her.
"Good Goddesses, Sunset!" I groan to her with a face palm. "You're really killing me here... And I was just hoping to go home so that I can study for Monday's pop quiz," I state to her with the obvious fact, though subliminally in my statement, that I was hoping to take our relationship to the next level.
"I'm sorry, Casino. I really am. But I just want to meet your parents today," she apologizes to me with her hand on my cheek. I take her hand with mine and kiss it lightly. "And I really do want your parents approval before we do anything to further step up our relationship," she had stated right there with a grin.
"You know what?" I start, after taking a deep breath. "I love you, Sunset."
"I love you too, Casino," she replies with a hug, given that we were still in the school.
"And because of that, I'll let you meet my parents," I started to speak up while the door had been opened by some students. We both thanked the other students as we made our way to my car. "But! Be warned," I began with a finger pointed to her: "The parts of the past that I never spoke about will be given a more accurate and much sadder version than what I said if you ask them about it," I say to her as the ignition turns on before I take the car for a little spin before exiting the campus parking lot.
"Well... then I won't ask them," Sunset had simply stated while getting comfortable in the passenger seat.
"Wait-what?" I ask her with my eyebrow repeating the action from before.
"I won't ask them about your past, Casino," she began to say to me in the most solemn voice that I never heard in my whole life.
"And if my parents start to speak about it, will you ask them not to?" I pondered to her, hoping for that vow from her.
"Sorry, hot stuff, but I can't promise you that," Sunset replies to me. "Besides... it's more than likely that you need someone to talk to about your past. And I will be more than willing to listen to your side of things after listening to them."
"Then let's hope that they don't speak about it," I murmured just enough for my new girlfriend to hear. She kisses my right hand after taking it from the wheel as we made a stop at a red light. And after she finishes the smooch, the light goes green. With a slow start, I take my needed speed and drive my car up to my parents house after about ten to twelve minutes. As I park my car on the driveway, Sunset looks at the house with a wide-eyed look that I was still getting used to.
Looking over, I spy the same houses within the gated community that I now live in. Given the fact that my parents and my uncles worked very hard to become very rich indeed, we sought out a place that was close to the same school that Sunset and I attend every day. But not only that, but we also had to find a place that, despite having enough riches to stay for ten years, was friendly with everyone... even if we could only afford the place for two years in the worst case scenario.
The people were not always this friendly, as I was told once. But the details had to be pushed aside so that I could open the doors of my car after turning off the engine. Before I could even open the driver door, Sunset quickly places a hand on my arm with a look that she must have wanted to tell me something.
"What's up, Sunset?" I ask her with my curiosity peaked.
"Casino?" she began to reply. "Does every story of your past begin with how loaded your family is?"
I shook my head to her, knowing fully well what she was asking me.
"It only started after I had entered T.H.S. that I was bullied even worse," I begin to answer her honestly. "And not just because I was intimidating to look at in their eyes, but it's also because of how I never acted like a spoiled brat, even with the amount of bits that all of my family so righteously possesses from their years of hard work," I quickly pointed out. "If the assholes and stuck-up tramps could see me now, they'd be turning in their graves."
I smile a little bit from the scenario that I dreamed up.
"What's so funny, Casino?" Sunset asks me again.
"Sorry," I sighed. "It's just that... when a person like myself lives in a bad city for so long, you tend to pick up a morbid sense of humor..."
"Shall we go in?" Sunset then suggests with a grin.
"Let's do it," I reply to her.
I open the driver door and make my way to the passenger side to let Sunset out of the car. As she gets out, I take a gaze at her whole body. It takes a little longer than I want it to be, but it's still worth it. It's only natural that I take a good look at her; I mean, this is my new girlfriend for crying out loud! It doesn't even matter if she had put on a more formal dress!
"Casino?" Sunset speaks up to snap me back to the here and now.
"Ah! Uh... *ahem* Sorry, Sunset..." I grinned sheepishly to her.
"What were you thinking about?" she asks me with the same smile that I fell for.
"Well, uh...." I begin to collect my answer. "Well, I just happen to be immensely happy with the situation that we are in."
"What do you mean by that?" she quips as she raises an eyebrow.
"Oh, come on! Think about it!" I start to say to her in a near lecturing state. "First: I've got the hottest- no, the sexiest girlfriend in all of the world, as the universe's way of apologizing to me for making me single for all this time," I point to her in a big declaration. This causes Sunset to blush with a giggle escaping her throat as I smiled.
"Second: None of the people here, save for myself, has ever known what it's like to have grown up in a city where even your 'best friend' stabs you in the back!" I add on with a thumb towards a hidden scar that goes a few inches below the shoulder blade. This action causes her to flinch from the thought of it as the 'b.f.' quote felt like a poison that I had to spit out.
"And finally: I was able to find a friend that listened to me about all of the things that were done against me in the past. And after taking some time to think about it, I wanted to take that relationship to the next level. And I am very happy that it was you..." I stop myself to go up to her, "who did all of that for me. So... yeah. Thank you, Sunset... Thank you for what you've done for me, babe."
"Ca..." she gasps with a near sob. "Oh, Casino!" She begins to cry for a bit. But even I could tell that she was not sad. This was making her happy with the joyous tears running down her face. "God damn it, Casino! I just found myself loving you even more, now that you've said that," she nearly screams while I hold her in my arms. Thankfully, she muzzled her face into my chest. The vibration of her tiny speech sends a shock through my heart. This was a very heartwarming and sincere moment for the both of us.
"Do you really mean it, babe?" I ask her with my eyes on hers. Our faces were about millimeters close to one another.
"Yes, Casino. I really just-- mmmppph." she begins to say before I cut her off with a big kiss. She relents by wrapping her arms around my neck as I wrap mine around her midriff within the kiss. The little sobs of joy soon turn into moans as our kiss got even deeper. Within about three minutes, our bodies had taken a moment to breath as we parted just a few inches away. "I love you, honey."
I smile a little bit at the new pet name that I receive from her, just as she did for my pet name for her.
"And I love you too, baby," I whisper to her ear. But as we were about to go into another kiss--
"OH MY GOD!!!" a familiar voice calls out.
Sunset and I both turn around to see my Mom and Dad standing just close enough to the door. And from the car, they must have seen the whole scene being played. And of course, it was Mom who was showing her excitement more than Dad. But I had a good idea that he must have been just as excited to see the display that Sunset and I made.
"And it's about damned time too, my son!" he sighed to me with a large smile. I could only make my kill sign with my thumb motioning a slice on my throat.
"So..." my Mom begins to speak, "You must be this 'Sunset Shimmer' that my pride and joy has been talking about nonstop," she giggles to Sunset, causing the both of them to laugh incredulously. I could only roll my eyes in the embarrassment that I was feeling in that moment.
"Mom, I don't talk about my girlfriend like that!" I try to protest in a little bit of anger.
"Casino, you know by now that I'm more than capable of knowing when someone is lying to me," she chided me.
"And we all know that even if you didn't mention her name before, you'd still want to go out with her as a couple," my Dad chuckles in his note to me. I could only hide my face from the three of them in the shame that I had felt.
Before I could respond, I hear: "Is that you, Casino?"
'Oh... shit! I know that Bucklyn voice!', I state to myself as I turn my head to look behind me. Sure enough, my suspicions are correct once again. Tanned skin with a few white speckles, hot pink hair with some light pink streaks and light green eyes.
"B... Babs? Is that really you?" I ask the girl behind me.
"Yeah, Cas!" she confirms with an eyebrow furrowing in a mischievous smile.
"Holy shit! Babs!" I yell out in my excitement. The both of us hug each other rather quickly after she vaults herself right up from the ground to lock her legs right around my midriff while her arms wrap themselves around my neck. My arms soon lock around the same toned midriff that my old friend so happily possesses.
And the both of us start to laugh out loud while some tears pour out of my eyes. This didn't go unnoticed by Babs. Or by Sunset, either.
"Hey! You cryin', boy?" Babs starts to taunt me with a poke to my ribs that almost tickles me.
I sniff back my emotion and say: "Well, yeah. But only because of how I've missed you, Babs."
"Hey, I missed you too, Cas! But that don't mean that ya get t' be so weepy, y'know!" she speaks to me with a soft push to my chest as she chuckles a little bit. "I can't allow my BFF to be like that!"
"Did I miss something here?" Sunset then speaks up, confused from what was happening.
After putting Babs down to the cement of the driveway, I point my hand to my girlfriend.
"Babs, this is Sunset Shimmer- my girlfriend," I first introduced. "Sunset, this is Babs Seed- the only BFF that I had at T.H.S. during my time in Manehattan," I finish with a wave of my hand to the both of them.
"Pleased to meet you, Babs," Sunset greets Babs with her hand out for a shake. But this is halted as Babs pulls her into a hug that follows with a peck to each of her face cheeks.
"And that's how a lot of people in Manehattan greet each other. Sorry if I surprised ya, girl. Nice to meet ya," Babs says after the action is done.
"It's okay," Sunset giggles a bit, still in awe of the rather unusual greeting that she received from the Manehattanite woman. "But I have to ask: What brings you to Canterlot City?" Sunset asks her with her arms up to show the surrounding area before putting them back down.
"Now that's a good question, Sunset. What got you to come down here, Babs?" I also ask my B.F.F. with my finger pointing at her in my curiosity.
"I wanted to surprise ya, Cas! My family decided to move to this city for my Mom's promotion at the big firm's branch company, and so we moved here. Surprised?" Babs answered all at once with her hands up.
"At the least!" I chuckled to her.
"Babs Seed, is that you?" Mom speaks up from a short distance.
"Yeah! Hiya, Mrs. T! Mr. T, sir," she greets the both of them. They chuckle a bit from her polite greeting.
"It's a pleasure, Babs," Dad speaks up with a smile. "Son!" he calls out to me.
"Yeah, Dad?" I nod my head to him.
"Come over here; I got the money that you'll need for your rent and such," he calls to me again. I make my way over to him, but before I say to both Babs and Sunset:
"Take some time to introduce yourselves, ladies. Dad and I need to discuss some business."
.....
About thirty minutes pass by after I have received a small package of paper bills that still hold as much value by themselves as the regular coins that we all use every day. And all for the purposes as I listed them in my head: To pay the rent for my apartment, to get gas for my BMW, to get some groceries to feed myself & the rest for some fun activities that I could still go to if I was able to make the wise bet. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
After waving my parents goodbye, I go over to the girls, who have settled their butts on the hood of my car. They just had themselves a big giggle about something that I don't know about. Not until I speak up to them:
"I just hope that Babs here hasn't talked about any bullshit about me while I was gone," I pondered playfully to Sunset while I quickly point my finger at Babs before removing my appendage from her sight.
"Hey!" Babs starts to protest. "Since when have I ever talked some fucked up tabloid against ya, Cas?"
"You never did," I begin to counter with a wicked grin on my face. "But that doesn't mean I can't get you riled up for a bit."
That always burned Babs up a bit, and even she knew that she liked it when I did that to her.
"Hey, Casino?" Sunset speaks to me after a little laugh is made between my B.F.F. and I.
"Yeah, babe? What's up?" I ask her with my interest getting piqued as to what she might ask.
"Babs and I need to speak to you about something important while we show her to Sugarcube Corner," Sunset answers with her fingers pointing to Babs and I.
"Okay... I got the 'talk' and 'important' parts in that sentence," I quip up to her before I ask her: "But why do the both of you want to speak to me while we make our way to that sweets place?"
"Well, Rarity is actually inviting us to have some sweets at that place. So that's one reason," Sunset begins to answer.
"But, there's also the fact that I'm new here," Babs interjects into the conversation, "As well as the fact that I've been having a sweet tooth for quite a while now."
"And after taking a few minutes to think about it, we both wanted to talk with you about something very important," Sunset stresses on the second to last word. This was going to be a bit uncomfortable.
"Okay.... so, uh... Hop in the car?" I suggest to them after taking a moment to breath in and out. Sunset and Babs decide to take the backseat of my car while I drive after opening the right side door. I take the key from my back pocket and I start up the car with the simple movements of my hand and wrist.
The green light at a four-way intersection, taken from my parents home on the right side of the gate, soon turns yellow to indicate that I had to stop when it turned red after taking my turn on the road. And when it did, I only stop just a few inches behind the white line. It was a perfect stop. Looking over to the streets, I see the other road going a little slowly. This must have been due to the fact that some road work was done while I had been studying for my surprise tests in any of my classes. I shrug off that little hypothesis as the green arrow turned to yellow, and then red to allow the cars from the other road to drive off.
My gaze goes from the road to the ladies in the back of my car. They are still giggling. And only the good Goddesses know what those two are up to right now. But as the light from the road ahead goes yellow, after a quick look to the road, I sneak a peek at the clothing that they are all wearing. And then, after taking a moment to look, I notice something that I had dared not say to Babs just a few moments ago: Her breasts were even bigger than before! Though they were a few inches off from my hot girlfriend Sunset's mounds, they were still great to look at. And even I knew that she never slept with a plastic surgeon. Those, along with Sunset's, were all natural.
I could only smile at myself, thinking not only about their mounds. We pull up to the confection store's parking lot and I place the auto option to 'Park' after successfully moving the car to be parked parallel to the others. But as I was about to open the driver side door, one of them clears her throat. Naturally, the first instinct is to look back and see about asking what they wanted.
"Yeah?"
"Hey, Casino?" Sunset calls to me in her indoor voice. "Before we go in, Babs and I want to tell you something."
"Now?"
"Yeah, now," Babs silently commands me. "Crawl to the back here and we'll tell you."
I begin to do as they say with my seat belt undone and my keys placed back into my back pocket. And after a small amount of difficulty is presented during my climb, I achieve my goal and sit myself between the two ladies.
"Care to tell me what your giggles were about?" I ask them both.
"Hey, Cas..." Babs speaks first. "So, Sunset already told me that you've been going out with her for about two months now. Right?"
"That's correct," I nod to her. When I look at her, her face starts to show a big blush. This was going to be a little interesting, to say the least.
"And... well, uh... Your girl and I got to talking about you for a bit," she continues on. "And I believe that it's time."
"Time?" I begin to ask her. "F-for what?" Babs begins to sniffle a bit before she wipes off a tear from her eyes. "Babs, what are y--?"
"I've fallen for you, Casino!!" Babs blurts out before pulling me into a tight hug while her cries start to get a little worse. "Now, I know that you got a great thing going on with Sunset! But, I just wanted you to know that ever since we began at that shit-hole of a school, I fell for how kind and generous you were to me, Cas! But not only that, but I also love how you would always defend me, even though I'm capable of defending myself!"
I look over to Sunset, who gives me a deadpan look once again. I raise my brow to silently ask if my girlfriend had talked to her about our real relationship. She nods her head to me as if my message was being relayed to her telepathically. And with a quick smile, Sunset jumps in.
"And after having that long conversation with Babs, while you were talking to your dad about your expenses," Sunset states to me while presenting her case, "Your B.F.F. and I came to a conclusion that we both want your opinion on, honey. And I want your total honesty with the both of us, my love. Or, uh...." she begins to trail off before muttering something that I can't pick up. "Or should I say... our love?"
Wait!
.....
.....
What?!
