A little before bedtime, Rumble was still traumatized by "The Gnashing Teeth" from earlier. He realized he should have listened to his good doppelganger and he would have been just fine. Alas; Rumble had to listen to his little devil counterpart instead, and he regretted making that decision immediately.

Right now, he was sitting on the bed while Cloudchaser was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. Rumble decided to go after her, along with a little flossing to go with it. Cloudchaser was finally finished, anf Rumble promptly went in after her.

Cloudchaser was a little surprised to see that sudden reaction from. It looked like Rumble has seen a ghost of some kind, or he really had to pee so bad, not to mention the way he slammed the door when he set foot in the room. In the end, she thought "maybe Rumble's just wanting to go to sleep so bad." And went on the bed to tuck herself in.

Meanwhile, Rumble was brushing his teeth, and began flossing his teeth after spitting out the toothpaste witha small cup of water. He noticed that he was brushing a little too hard and there wad a tiny amount of blood on his toothbrush so fast. He filled the cup with water again, and filled it in his mouth, gargling loudly like a large bird.

Just then, there was a sudden thought from the movie he regretted watching, and remembered the trail of blood from one of the protagonist' best friends after he was killed off-screen by the werewolf-like beast that was the movie's main antagonist. A cold shiver went down his spine just thinking about it that horrific scene. All the more reason he wished he should have listened to the angel on his shoulder when he had the chance to chose.

"Oh god, i'm bleeding." He panted heavily. "The werewolf might get me tonight!"

A knock on the door was heard. "Rumble? Are you okay?" Cloudchaser asked from the other side of the door in a worried tone of voice.

Rumble did not want Cloudchaser to know that he disobeyed her, or his big brother, and thought of what to say. Finally, he replied "i'm fine, Cloudchaer. Just fine."

"I just thought I heard you shout a little. Are you sure you're okay?"

"I promise." Rumble lied. He went back to his business, and filled his mouth with water again, and gargled one last time before spitting it out to get rid of the gum blood. While it was only a very small bleeding, Rumble was still scared that the creature would come to him and and eat him, for blood was the monster's favorite drink.

Besides this, Rumble still could not let Cloudchaser know what he did to disobey his wife and Thunderlane. For that, he decided to keep his cool, and pretended like nothing happened at all. He opened the door and promptly went to bed, tucking the covers over him by himself; exact for his head. Rumble looked like a cocoon

Cloudchaser looked a little confused by his sudden reaction. She never seen a kid get ready for bed without getting so drowsy. Rumble was tired of course, but not drowsy. Besides it, Cloudchaser decided that Rumble just needed a goodnight sleep. She gave her husband a kiss on his lips, and murmured "Goodnight, my sweet prince."

Rumble felt slightly better that his beautiful, tomboyish wife gave him a sweet kiss, and made a small smile. "Thank you Cloudchaser." then he slowly fell asleep, tucking himself in the covers.

The grey-furred pegasus mare smiled warmly as he began sleeping, and tucked herself in before she already began snoring.

Rumble's Nightmare

In his dreamland, Rumble was just going through a walk in the woods. It was so serene, so peaceful, he wished he could wander in this place forever and ever. The time over there was at night; many swarms of fireflies glowing around the area.

He continued walking and he saw a beautiful waterfall over a small stream. He looked at his reflection and smiled at it, and then made silly faces at it.

Honestly, Rumble wished that Cloudchaser, Flitter, and his big brother, Thunderlane, were there with him. All three would love to be in this beautiful area of peace and serenity. All of these beautiful glowing fireflies swarming around. Not only were there fireflies but there were also some butterflies that were glowing a beautiful blue light from their wings.

The colt decided that the water looked so serene, he decided to bath himself in it, and the waterfall began splashing all over him when he did. Rumble was having real fun with this. Now he really wished that Thunderlane, Cloudchaser and Flitter would be with him. Turns out all of this bathing in the stream was making Rumble forget about that really scary movie.

As a matter of fact; he began to forgot what he was so afraid of in the first place, thanks to the warmth of the waters.

After a long period of bathing, he heard a voice he knew too well; "Rumble." it said in a sing-song voice. He peeked through the waterfall and was more than happy to see Clouchaser in the stream waters. She wasn't alone, Thunderlane, and Flitter were with her as well. All three of them were smiling warmly at him

"There you are little buddy." said Flitter. "You really shouldn't have run off like that, it can be dangerous out in the woods."

The colt got out of the waterfall and said "I'm sorry, it's just so cool here, you know? All these trees and glowing bugs flying around, you know how it looks."

"Can't blame you, little bro." Thunderlane agreed. "This place is so relaxing. A forest haven for all of us." He made a small sigh of relaxation.

"And it's so.... perfect." Said Cloudchaser. "And you just look so cute that u could just eat you up."

Rumble had a look of confusion on his face, and asked "you're just joking, right?"

"Nope, I am actually mean it." Cloudchaser clarrified. Rumble was getting even more confused now. Does Cloudchaser really want to eat him? Or was she just pulling his legs by joking with him. "Cloudchaser, do yoy really want to eat me?"

"Of course I do, kiddo." A weird and unsettling thing just suddenly happened: Cloudchaser, Flitter, and Thunderlane's eyes glew a color of blood red. Rumble was starting to become scared, and to make it more terrifying, the area around him turned from a beautiful, peaceful area to an eerie, hellish ladscape. The water turned red, like blood, and his three friends gave him a wicked grin, showing teeth.

All of a sudden, the three grownups slowly turned into three red puddles. As if they had a mind of their own, formed together. It formed into a large, werewolf-like creature with it's head bearing a skull. Rumble felt like peeing himself just looking at the creature from the movie that his friends told him not to watch. Dry blood was stain on it's fur and around it's teeth.

"Oh my god." Rumble made a small gulp. He could not believe he was looking at the skull-faced werewolf in the flesh. He ran for his life, screaming at the top of his lungs and ran as fast as he could.

Every time Rumble looked back, the monster was getting closer and closer every second. Out of desperation, Rumble made a quick spurt, running faster than before. Despite his best efforts, he suddenly tripped on a loose root.

Looking back one last time, the monster got Rumble right where he wanted him to be. He opened his mouth and was about to eat him. Rumble screamed "NOOOOO!!!" At the top of his lungs.

End of Rumble's dream

"Rumble! Rumble! Wake up!" Cloudchaser begged, rubbing her husband to wake back up into reality.

"No! Stop eating me!" Rumble screamed. Then he suddenly awoke, and realized it was just a nightmare.

He began hyperventilating, and cowered under the covers. He was shaking like he was in the middle of an arctic wasteland with no jacket to keep him warm. Cloudchaser gently lifted the blanket off of him, and looked at him with concern in her eyes.

"What's wrong, Rumble?" She asked him softly.

"I-i-" but before he can confess, the bedroom door suddenly flew open. It revealed to be Flitter and Thunderlane.

"What happened?!" Said Flitter in alarm

"We heard screaming! Are we being robbed?"

"No, we haven't been robbed." Cloudchaser said. She looked at Rumble again, and felt her heart slowly breaking seeing him like this. "Rumble must have had a bad nightmare."

The colt sadly nodded a yes in reply, with tears streaming down his cheeks. "Rumble, what's the matter, bro?" Asked Thunderlane.

Well, it looked like the jig was up for poor little Rumble here. All of the closest ponies he ever knew on his life, looked st him sympathetically, wanting to hug him. Rumble sighed in defeat, and said "Guys, I-I- watched the Gnashing Teeth even though you told me not to do it."

"What?!" The other three said in unison. They all looked at each other like Rumble committed an atrocity. The colt told them the whole story about his nightmare he had just experienced, from how peaceful it was, to the point where it became a hellish nightmare.

"Why would you do that?" Asked Flitter.

"Yeah, we told you that you couldn't watch that movie." Cloudchaser noted in a soft, yet firm voice.

"I know. I know. But- I was just curious. I just wanted to be like you guys, and.... ugh, I should have listened to my shoulder angel."

"You should have, Rumble." Said Thunderlane. He didn't sound so mean or harsh, but he firmly said "Rumble, I am very disappointed in you."

His little brother bowed his head. "I know."

"You're probably traumatized now because of that horror movie. And what's worse; you watched it behind our backs."

Rumble really felt like crying now. He really hated to have his big brother disappointed in him like this. "I was just trying to be like you." He admitted, holding his throat back

Thunderlane made a sigh, and wrapped a comforting wing around his small body "I know you look up to me as a hero, Rumble, and I really love Oh for that, but we told you there are some things you have to wait for."

Cloudchaser joined them. "We know you want to be like us, but come on, being a kid is not such a bad thing. Kids like you have a good life without a care on the world."

"Yeah?"

"Oh yes. You're a really sweet and innocent foal being as happy as he can be." Flitter said. "Look, please tell us you will never watch a scary movie behind our backs again."

"I promise."

"Good. Now, for your punishment.... I think what you did was punishment enough." Thunderlane remarked.

"I agree, Thunderlane." Said Cloudchaser. She looked back at arumgle, and she smiled at him. "I love you, Rumble."

"I love you too, Rumble." Then they both planted a small kiss on each other's lips. "Would you like anything from us?"

"Like a glass of iced water? Or do you want us to stay with you until you fall asleep?" Asked Flitter

"No thanks. Me sleeping with Cloudchaser will be okay."

"Well, maybe we should help you forget about the Gnashing Teeth."

"I think that just a goodnight sleep will do it. Sometimes, and up have to tell the truth like this sometimes." Thunderlane pointed.

The other three smiled at his remarked. "Well, you're not wrong." Flitter agreed. Then she yawned and asked "are you sure you don't need anything, Rumble?.

"No thank you, Flitter. I'll be okay. As long as Cloudchaser is holding me, I'll be just fine."

Cloudchaser smiled warmly at him, and held him like a teddy bear with both arms while sleeping on her side.

"Well we better get back to bed." Said Thunderlane, who made a yawn, and went out of the room. "Goodnight, guys."

"Goodnight." Rumble replied.

He began to fall asleep again, but this time, Cloudchaser was holding him in her arms to keep him happy all through the night
