Unexpected Pegasus Love 2

Ah, the Ponyville zoo. A place where everypony can look at exotic animals that are not native to Equestria.

For Rumble and Cloudchaser, it will be fun for them along with Thunderlane, Flitter, and the two parents of both brothers: Lightning Strike and Stormy Wind

At first, they took a look around and see where they can go to and look at first, at the Zebrican section, the Appleoosa desert, Euroneighan isle, or at the Japaneigh section.

"Hmm, would anypony like a drink before hitting it off?" Said Lightning Strike.

"Well, I would like some lemonade." Rumble answered to his father

"Of course, Rumby-kins." Stormy Wind said, gently stroking her son's head.

"Mom!" Rumble groaned. "Don't call me that, please."

"Sorry, sweetie. It's just been so long since the last time we did something fun like this together"

"It's okay, mom. I understand."

Then Lightning came back with a drink for Rumble, and happily gave it to him. "Here you go buddy. One lemonade a la mode."

"Thanks, dad." And the colt immediately took a sip of the beverage.

"No problem, son." The father warmly remarked to him.

"Now I think I want an apple cider." Said Cloudchaser.

"I second that." Said Thunderlane

"Want anything, sis?"

"No thank you. Maybe later. Well.... maybe a large drink for us to share?"

"Of course." Then both Cloudchaser and Thunderlane went to the snack shack to get themselves and Flitter some apple cider.

After they came back, now they were ready to take a look at the zoo.

"Okay, so, where do you all want to go first?" Asked Thunderlane.

"Hmmm, I was thinking the Appleoosa desert part first." Said Cloudchaser

"You read my mind." Rumble said with excitement. And they all went down the specific path the married couple wanted to travel down to. First, they saw many desert wildlife, including some snakes, lizards, jackals, vultures that ranged from Bearded vultures to lapped-face vultures.

Not only that, but there were also a few kit foxes living together as a couple, just minding their own business. "Look at those foxes." said Flitter. "They are so fluffy, I just wish I can pick one up and hug it."

"I know, me too." Cloudchaser agreed with her sister before taking a sip of the gigantic jug of apple cider. After she was finished, Flitter had her own sip of the beverage.

Then they all moved on to the next section, the Japapeigh section. It was field with giant pandas, red panda, tigers, giant salamanders, macaques, deer, orangutans, and even sloth bears and moon bears. The whole family was impressed by how big the alpha male orangutan was, so fat, and round.

Rumble caught something that he didn't really seen animals do before, and he began laughing.

"What's so funny, bro?" Thunderlane asked him curiously with a smirk and raised eyebrow.

"Look at the mommy and baby orangutan over there." Rumble snickered while covering his mouth, trying to hold back his laughter. The baby was drinking milk out of it's mother's nipple.

"Oh dear." said Stormy Wind. "this isn't really appropriate for kids." and he covered his eyes so he wouldn't have to witness anymore of this.

"Hey!" Rumble said.

"It's okay, honey. Pip used to do this all the time with you when he was a baby." Lightning remarked "Don't ya remember."

"Oh right."

"Wait, no I didn't!" Rumble said, flushing his cheeks. "I never did that to you in all my life, mom."

"Oh buddy, it's okay." Cloudchaser softly reassured him. "It's perfectly normal for us to do that to our mothers when we were babies. There's nothing wrong with that. And besides, we had this kind of.... fun before."

Rumble had a look of realization and said "Oh yeah. I forgot."

"Sorry about that Rumble, my motherly instincts kinda got the best of me.... again." then they all had a good laugh.

"It's fine, mom. I understand."

Then they all moved on to the Equestrian Aviary cage with many types of birds ranging from pigeons, parrots, sparrows, ducks, geese, coots, herons, and other. Thunderlane got to hold a crowned eagle on his arm. He was in a bit of pain since the crowned eagle has very powerful talons.

"Ah! These things are sharp. Ow! Yeah, like daggers." nonetheless, the eagle nudged Thunderlane's face to show him affection. For Rumble, he was carrying a peregrine falcon on his back. It's talons were not really sharp like the crowned eagles, and only felt like dull needles.

The falcon also perched itself on top of the colt's head like a tree branch, tilting it's head once in a while. While chirping a few times, she was being gently stroked all over her body from Rumble's hoof, and she loved every bit of it. "You're such a pretty bird, aren't you?" Rumble said.

It smiled, and the fastest animal in the world happily made a chirp that went on three times in reply. After that was all taken care of, they all went to the Euroneighan part of the zoo, and saw foxes and many types of dear, along with gray wolves as big as a great Dane dog.

Along to go with it was the ultra rare long-faced bear, the largest bear in the world after the Ursa Major species. It looked so majestic with a snout that looked longer than any other bear species in Equestria. It had a very light brown fur, and it's legs were really long and slender, and looked more furry than an average grizzly bear.

It made them even more amazed to see this magnificent carnivore stand on it's hind-legs like any other ordinary bear would do occasionally. As a matter of fact, he stood about ten feet tall at the shoulder, way taller than a grizzly too.

The bear looked at his surroundings, and sniffed at the fresh air a few times, and then it got back on all four legs again. The impact was so large and loud, it made a small thump on the ground, as if it was some kind of earthquake.

After that was finished, the family went on to the best for last exhibit, the Zebrican section. Oh, this part of the zoo was even bigger than the other sections, filled with giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs. Ostriches, honey badgers, and even included the mane attraction at the whole zoo: the lions.

Rumble was more than eager to see these magnificent beasts in their pen, seeing what they would usually do in their spare time. He looked over a the pen below, and was truly fascinated by how they were living their lives. Inside, there was a male and a female lion, having a total of six or seven cubs in total.

"Wow, just look at them you guys." Rumble said

"I know. Lions are cool." Cloudchaser agreed with him.

"Oh boy, I can't really see that well from up here. Cloud, can you please give me boost?"

"Sure thing, but not to close to the pen. Wouldn't want yo Unto turn into lion chow."

Rumble giggled at what she just said. "Yeah, I wouldn't want to end up like that."

"Nopony ever wants to end up like that." Thunderlane remarked.

Cloudchaser gently picked up Rumble so he can see better at those lions down below. In this position, he can see them more clearly now. "Ah, this is more like it." He remarked. "Thanks Cloudchaser."

"You're welcome, Rumble."

The cubs were a very adorable sight for all of them to witness. For the biggest cub was the the one who was teasing his younger siblings with his dominance, thinking he is better than the rest. Whenever a fight broke out, the father lion would intervene by splitting them up.

What they all didn't realize was that they were all too distracted to notice the incoming hazard. Snips and Snails, the dim witted colts were playing a little game of tag together, and Snips accidentally pushed Cloudchaser down, causing her to drop Rumble straight into the lion pen

Rumble shrieked and fell on his ass. "Ow! That hurt!" He whined. He looked forward at where he was, and realized that where this was all going. "Oh no." He muttered.

All the lions were a little alarmed by Rumble's accidental visit, and looked quite cautious at their intruder.

"Rumble!" Thunderlane screamed at the top of his lungs

"Champ!" Said Lightning strike.

"My baby!" Stormy shouted in horror.

"I am so sorry Rumble, that was totally an accident, somepony bumped into me without even looking."

"Don't move a muscle!" Flutter warned him. "we'll get you out of there."

A cry of alarm was heard when the other visitors gathered around to see what this commotion was all about. Hearts were racing, and worriment went down all of their spines.

The male lion was the one who walked up to him very slowly and cautiously. Rumble was so scared that he didn't even know what to say. Terrified, he slowly back away into the wall as the lion was getting closer and closer.

It was hopeless, there was nowhere to run to, Rumble was trapped and in shock, when the lion came in close contact with him, it sniffed him a few times. Then it licked him a few times, and gotten his taste, feeling hungry for his meat,

The crowd became more and more scared when they were witnessing this, especially Cloudchaser, whose heart was racing like a pounding drum in s heavy metal band. The big cat opened it's mouth, revealing it's sinister teeth, ready to bite down on the poor colt while he was young and helpless at the moment. It growled and before he could get Rumble in his jaws, Cloudchaser swooped down to the rescue and swiftly pulled Rumble out of there.

Everypony was cheering for the colt's safety and the whole family ekbraced him in a group hug. "Rumble, are you okay?"

"That- that was scary." Rumble said in shock. ,

"Aww come here." Then the colt began sobbing into her chest.

"Shhh, it's okay. I'm here, sweetie." Cloudchaser soothed him in a very soft voice. "You're safe now, kiddo."

"Come on, I think we need to give Rumble a little alone time." Said Flitter

"No, no, it's alright. I'm fine." Rumble sniffled his nose, wiping it. "I... I just need to sit down for a little while."

"I think that is a good idea, Rumble." Thunderlane agreed." And they all went to a nearby bench, and Flitter was more than happy enough to buy him an ice cream. Yes, that was a very close call for him.
