Twilight's End

It was over. Try as she might, Twilght was unable to hatch the egg. The examiners made their notes, and decided that this school wasn't for her. This broke Twilight so much that, upon their return home, all Twilight did was stay shut up in her bedroom. Twilight cried often, and only came down for meals.

Twilight's parents tried to cheer her up, but found nothing could. They tried giving her books to read. They tried talking to her to calm her down. But nothing could be done.

The only pony whom was ever able to get a responce was Shining Armor. The two always had a connection that was unique. Different to that between Twilight and her parents. Shining Armor kept his silence, however he did let some things slip to the parents if he felt they needed to know. Twilight soon caught on, and stop talking to her brother soon after.

Not much time went past, and Twilight was starting to starve herself, not comming down for dinner as often. Soon, she stopped eating at ealtimes altogether. Twilight felt as if she had failed her parents. Failed the school. Most importantly,she felt as if she had failed herself. How dare she even think about enrolling at that school.

Eventually, one week later, she ran a bath. Not an elaborate one, or one with any soap. The purple filly's mane was all ruffled and untidy due to neglect. She was a lot thinner too, and a cut where her cutie mark was visable, made only a few days ago. She had brought up a toaster from the kitchen with her, ready to drop into the bath. Twilight got in the bath, and started to use her magic to lift the toaster so that it was hovering over the water.

"I'm sorry." A soft whisper came from the filly, as she let the toaster fall. It landed with a splash, soaking Twilight before an inevitable shock. The noise was heard in the living room, and Twilight's parents ran to see what had happened. As they started to go upstairs, they felt the house begin to break. They had to leave if they were not to be crushed. They fled in the nick of time.

After they had calmed down, they realised that Twilight wasn't with them. It was too late though, as she was dead before the roof of the bathroom hit her head. Sprks were comming off of the rubble, and nopony dared to attempt to free anypony inside. Twilight was declared dead. The bath was her coffin. The rubble, her grave and tombstone. A plaque was erected in memory of her, claimingthat she died when the house came down in the explosion. There was an explosion, but nopony ever knew the truth.
