Rainbow Dash sighed, as she ran her comb through her hair one last time, curling her bangs over her forehead ever so gently. For once, her hair wasn't a total disaster, thanks to the shampoo and conditioner she hadn't used in years. Her usually rough skin had been cleaned and softened after a long shower, the smell of cologne sticking to her like a tick. She gently stroked her lips with the red lipstick she borrowed from Rarity, her mascara and eye shadow waiting on the desk to be used.

Once all her makeup was applied, she stared at herself in the mirror. She didn't know this person in front of her. This blue girl in the tight black dress and red heels. With the purple eye shadow and hair curled around her neck like it was a tie. Normally she wore dirty old sneakers, some soccer shorts and a football jersey, still sweaty from a jog with her hair in a messy pony tail. This was different, out of her comfort zone. She didn't know how to react.

But what she did know, she looked good.

She leaned forward and smirked at herself, "Looking good, Rainbow, lookin' good~" She winked at her reflection.

She was so ready for this.

-

"Are you sure you don't want me to make more spaghetti, Ari? Every romantic dinner needs an Italian dinner." Sonata said, stirring the pasta up in its pot. She already had like ten plates of spaghetti on the table, each covered in a thick tomato sauce accompanied by candle light and two bottles of wine which Adagio had provided.

"NO! No more pasta, this is a date, not like I'm meeting with the governor." Aria groaned, rubbing her forehead.

But she really wished she was. She had let Sonata style her hair into a long braid that reached her knees, and put her in a stupid pale green dress and a plaid button down shirt that only went down to her stomach. She looked like she did during the 40s, when boring dresses and mary janes were all the rage. She'd rather embarrass herself in front of some old guy in charge of the state rather than the girl whom made her so flustered it took her two weeks to ask her out.

Adagio gently patted her shoulder, smiling. "Don't worry, I'm sure that good for nothing jock won't laugh too hard when she sees your little outfit," Her words were anything but reassuring to Aria.

"Still won't get over that will ya?" Adagio shook her head sharply.

Aria narrowed her eyes at her, putting her hands on her hips, "Besides, you're the one sleeping with a different guy every other night despite the fact you have a girlfriend?" She hummed.

"Hey! She said she's okay with my life style, besides," She crossed her arms, "I only take Derpy out to fancy restaurants, not those clods at the night clubs I meet. Speaking of which, I should get going, I gotta take my little Dewdrop and Dinkleberg to Mario's."

"You're bringing her kid? Really?"

"Yeah, how come you'll take Dinky to a restaurant but I can't step foot in a fast food place without you asking the waitor to get me a kids menu and some crayons." Sonata pouted.

"Hey she's a good kid. Besides, your date's sister isn't that much older," Adagio huffed, wrapping a scarf round her neck as she headed for the door.

"There's like a thirteen year difference!" Aria frowned.

"Anyways, we best be going," Adagio linked arms with Sonata, who waved at Aria happily, "You're date should be here any time now, see you later love bird~"

"Bye!" Sonata squealed, before Aria slammed the door in her face.

-

Rainbow took a deep breath, staring at the front door. Oh god, this was happening. She was actually doing this. Her heart was racing, sweat ran down her forehead like an avalanche. She was gonna have a panic attack if she waited any longer. Without thinking, she pounded on the door as if she was being murdered.

"What?" Aria snapped as she slammed the door open, her scowl dropping as soon as she saw Rainbow Dash in front of her. "O-Oh..." Her cheeks turned a little red.

"H-Hey," Aria pulled a lock of hair behind her ear.

"H-Hi!" Rainbow's voice cracked slightly, her face turning an even deeper red. Oh great, what a great start to their date.

There was a long, awkward silence, the two shuffled a bit where they stood.

"You look great," Aria finally spoke up.

Dash smiled lightly at the siren, "Thanks, you look cute too,"

She stood out of the door frame, motioning to the door, "Want to come in?"

She rolled her eyes, "Of course, I'm not gonna spend the whole date out on your front porch." She scoffed before walking inside.

-

"So then I said, popcorn? I don't even like corn!"

Both women groaned at the stale joke on TV.

They had been laying on the couch for hours, their nice outfits stained with cheesy puff dust and chip crumbs. The two were sprawled out awkwardly on the couch, but still they were comfortable as can be.

"This show is so cheesy, who even likes this show?" Rainbow Dash huffed.

"Us apparently." Aria smirked.

The two both chuckled, following by a long sigh.

"Yeah...so..." Rainbow Dash played with a tangle in the back of her hair. "I was wondering..."

Aria looked up, "What's up?" She asked. As soon as Rainbow Dash caught sight of her eyes her cheeks turned deep red.

"Well, I-I uh..." She cleared her throat, "I thought that, uh, m-maybe we could-"

"I think we should go on another date." The siren suddenly blurted out, both their faces going bright red as they looked up from the TV.

"W-What was that?" Rainbow blinked.

"S-Sorry, just, uh," Aria pounded her fist on her chest, faking a cough. "Had something in my throat," She murmured, forcing a few more coughs.

"But, I thought you said-"

"No."

"But you just-"

"Nope."

"You totally just said-"

"Not a chance."

"Dammit Aria, just admit it! You want to go on another date with me!" Rainbow accused, grinning brightly.

"Ugh, fine!" Aria groaned, crossing her arms, "So what if I do?"

"So what? So we should go on another date!" She said in a tone a bit more rough than she intended.

"Fine then! How about next Sunday?"

"Can't do that day, how about Friday?" Aria said.

Rainbow thought it over, "Hmm...I can do 7:00 on Friday." She said as she got up off of the couch, heading for the door.

"Well, see you then," Aria smiled, "Your place or mine?"

"Mine, though I'm a little scared my parents might act...out of hand, at dinner. They're still super psyched I even started dating, they literally freak out over every person I bring home. Even over the police! And not even in the normal, - Ahh! My poor baby's become a criminal! - way,"

Aria cringed, "Oh boy, sounds like a date we won't ever forget." She chuckled.

"Yeah," Rainbow sighed, rubbing the back of her neck, "Well, see ya then Blaze,"

"See ya Crash." Aria waved lightly, watching her walk out of the living room. As she heard the front door shut, she knew she'd finally left the premises. Letting out a long sigh, she sunk into the couch, grinning like a crazy person. She just laid there giggling like a maniac, even after Sonata and Adagio came back home the next morning.

"What the hell did you do to my living room?" Adagio scowled, picking up empty bags of chips. "This place is a pigsty! You got crumbs all over the couch!"

Sonata pouted as she dipped her head into the kitchen, "You didn't even touch the spaghetti..." She whined, seeing the day old pasta rotting on the table.

"I'd expect this from Sonata, but not from you Aria," Adagio crossed her arms.

Sonata's pout deepened into a frown, "Hey..."

"What do you have to say for yourself?" The oldest sister asked as she walked up to Aria, still half asleep.

Hearing the weird, tired giggles she responded with, Sonata and Adagio quickly looked at each other then back to their sister.

"Are you okay Blazey?"

"Did you take any drugs last night? You know the wine cabinet's off limits!"

Once again, Aria just giggled.

"..."

"I think we better call 911."

"Yeah, I'll make the call," Sonata nodded, grabbing her phone.

Still, Aria just laid there laughing, too happy to bother stop her from calling the medics.
