Rainbow in the sky

It was morning in Ponyville. Everypony was going on with there daily routines while a cyan Pegasus was lying on a cloud sleeping. She was awakened by a gust of wind that almost sent her flying off the cloud.

"WOAH!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she was getting back on four hooves.

"The wind is getting really strong..." Rainbow whispered to herself.

Rainbow Dash looked down at Ponyville and flew down to help. She saw Applejack lifting up her cart then made it stand up again and started picking up the apples that had fell out out of it. After helping other ponies, Rainbow Dash trotted over to Applejack.

"Want some help Aj?" asked Rainbow.

Applejack looked around trying to find the mare that asked her, Rainbow Dash was flying around her.

"Well that, be mighty kind of ya sugarcube." she told Rainbow as she to continued picking up the apples.

Rainbow Dash stop flying and went to help Applejack pick up the apples. She started picking up the apples by the stem and throwing them into Applejack's cart. The two mares looked at each other and knew what the other was thinking. They began racing, to see who can get the most apples in the cart. They finished at the same time.

"Ha! You thought, Ah lose to you, didn't ya?" Applejack asked, as Rainbow Dash started to grin a little bit.

"Me, lose? To you? Ha! Applejack you must dreaming!" Rainbow told her."So anyway, i'll see you later Aj. I got some training to do!" Rainbow Dash sounded excited.

"Alright, you best be careful when flying, them winds sure are gettin' mighty strong, aren't they?" Applejack tried warned her, but for some reason Rainbow Dash wasn't paying any attention to what she said. Applejack tried to get her attention in a few ways, but it didn't work. She only thought of one more way to get her attention.

"OW!" Rainbow yelled as she was rubbing the side of her head, "Applejack, Why did you throw an apple at me?"

"It was the only way to get your attention Dash"

"You could have tri-WOAH!!" A gust of wind took them both by surprise, as well as some other ponies. Rainbow Dash was knock to the ground, Applejack was holding onto her hat, making sure it didn't get blown away. The wind had stopped. Applejack put her hat back on and galloped over to Rainbow Dash.

"You alright sugarcube?" Applejack asked her while helping her up.

"Yeah...i'm good..." Rainbow covered her eyes with her hoofs, she kept the tears back, they weren't tears of pain, but the tears of sadness. Applejack looked at her, she was starting to get a little bit worried about Rainbow Dash.

Applejack thought to herself for a moment,"Dash has been actin' like that for a while. She hasn't told anypony what's wrong. It's kinda worrying..." Applejack placed a hoof on Rainbow Dash's shoulder and asked "Rainbow...what's been bothering you? Yer been actin' weird, whenever the winds start. Ah'm just worried, that's all and you know you can talk to me about anything."

Rainbow took her hoofs away from her face and looked at the mare beside her with a sad smile and tried to speak "Applejack...i..." Rainbow Dash looked away from her "I just need to be...alone right..." she told her and then took off.

Apple jack couldn't get a word, all she was able to say was "RAINBOW!" She's even more worried now about Rainbow Dash.

As Rainbow Dash was flying away she could no longer hold back her tears. She wiped away some of her tears and thought to herself "Maybe I should have told her..."

Applejack was trying to think where Rainbow Dash went, but she couldn't think where she could have gone. She could have went home? If she wanted to be alone, she wouldn't go home. Then again she could just ask around to see if they have seen Rainbow Dash, sitting in her thoughts, Applejack could only worry about Dash. She shook her head and shoulder sighted.

"APPLEJACK" A voice came from behind Applejack and it also make jump a little bit.

"What in tarnation, why are ya yellin' for Fluttershy?" Applejack asked the yellow Pegasus, who was starting to get a little bit embarrassed for shouting.

"Oh...um well...i was trying to get your attention so i could ask you something, but you looked like if you were thinking about something and i'm really, really sorry..." Fluttershy gave her a sheepish smile.

Applejack looked at her, she was a bit surprised to hear Fluttershy yell. "It's alright sugarcube. What was it you were wantin' to ask?"

"i was wondering if you have seen Rainbow Dash, i really, really, really, need to talk her."

"What is it about? If you don't mind me askin'?"

Fluttershy was thinking of the words to say "Um i...can't...say..." She gave out a nervous laugh.

Applejack looked at her with a confused face "Why not?"

"Because Rainbow told me not to tell anypony."

This got Applejack thinking again, about Rainbow Dash wondering if it was about her getting upset as she flew away. "Well she flew off, into that direction." she said as she pointed in the direction that Rainbow flew in with her hoof." But i think it's best if we leave her alone for a while, she was getting kinda upset earlier, when them gust of happened."

"Oh no...oh no, oh no, we need to find her." Fluttershy flew into to the air looking all over place trying to figure out where Rainbow is.

"Fluttershy trying and n' calm down, and tell me what's going on."

"I'm sorry Applejack, but i made a Pinkie Promise to Rainbow that i wouldn't tell anypony. I'm going to go and look for Rainbow now, i'm really, really sorry Applejack." Fluttershy told Applejack, and with that she flew away.

This left Applejack more worried than she ever has been, for Rainbow's sake.
