The New Pony
"Did you know that there's a new filly coming to school today?" Apple Bloom told her friends, also known as "The Cutie Mark Crusaders".
"Noooooo. What's their name?" Scootalo whispered back.
"I heard her name is Angel Blaze!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
The three fillies began dancing and singing, "There's a new filly, there's a new filly. And her is Angel Blazeeeeeee!" they finished the song with a high pitched squeak.
The students looked up to see their teacher sitting down at her desk and they politely sat down.
"As you all know, there will be a new filly here today. Miss, Angel Blaze, please come in." And a white pegasus walked in. She had beautiful long, slightly puffy, red and orange flaming hair and her eyes were the color of the sky. She even looked prettier than Diamond Tiara.
She was so amazing, that everyone forgot to look if she had a cutie mark until Silver Spoon spoke up, "Look! She doesn't have a cutie mark!" Everyone began to laugh and point, except the CMC (Cutie Mark Crusaders). The new filly shrunk back, embarassed.
"Shush! Now, can you tell us your name?" Their teacher scolded them then turned back to the white filly and softly spoke.
She nodded, "My name is Angel Blaze." she said so soft that no one heard.
"Huh?"
"My name is Angel Blaze..." she said a bit louder, but not loud enough.
"Excuse me, can you repeat that?"
"M-My name is Angel Blaze." She said loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Ahh, thank you Angel Blaze. I think there's an extra seat next to... Diamond Tiara! Yes, next to her. The one with the tiara." Angel Blaze cautiously walked over to the desk, her hooves click-clacking against the floor. She looked at Diamond Tiara who mouthed, "Welcome, un-cutie mark pegasus!"
Later on...
Angel Blaze was flying when she-
BAM!
Dazed, she looked up to see an older cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane. Huh? Rainbow mane? Rainbow... RAINBOW DASH?! Angel Blaze looked up to see if it really was her. She quickly flew back a bit, "OMYGOSHOMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!" she squealed, flying around in circles, "It's Rainbow Dash, it's Rainbow Dash!"
Rainbow Dash looked at the filly, confused, "You know me?"
"Of course I know you! You're the only known pegasus in Equestria that's able to do a Sonic Rainboom! And you're the fastest flyer ever!" Angel Blaze squealed.
"Oh... Oh! Yup, that's me! The best, the fastest, and the best flyer in Equestria!" she boasted, flipping her mane with her hoof, "Say.. Aren't you that new pony at the school? Squirt told me about you."
"Yup! I'm Angel Blaze. Who's Squirt?"
"Squirt. Scootalo, you know her?"
"Yeah! She sits across the room from me."
"Cool. Well nice meeting ya. I gotta dash!" And then Rainbow Dash flew away, leaving Angel in awe. When she found herself, she blinked, "Oh yeah! Rainbow's clearing the skies. Maybe I should ask if I could help her!" then she flew off steadily to follow Rainbow.
"Hi Rainbow Dash!" She squeaked when she finally caught up.
"Are you following me?!" Rainbow gasped.
"Yes.. I mean no. I was going to ask you if I could help you clear the skies."
Rainbow Dash did a soft nervous laugh, "I... think that I already did it," she said, putting her hooves together, "But I promise that we could do it together in..." she pulled out a calender out of nowhere, "2 days."
Angel looked disappointed, "Aww. So I followed.. I mean came all this way over here for nothing!"
"No way! We could fly together if it'll make you happier." she said quickly.
Angel Blaze looked up, eyes sparkling, "We can?!"
"Sure, anytime! Catch me if you can!" then with that Rainbow Dash raced off, Angel Blaze trailing behind her.
A/N - Sorry it's so short. I wrote this in just a few minutes, I promise the other chapters will be longer!
The Shadowbolts
After the races with Rainbow Dash, Angel had a strange feeling. She wanted to be the best. The fastest. Better than any pony, better than Dash. She gripped her blanket and remembered how Rainbow kept talking about a group of amazing pegasi called the, "Wonderbolts".
Angel looked over at the table that had a CD of the Wonderbolts that Rainbow Dash let her borrow. She got out of bed (it was only 12 in the afternoon) and grabbed the CD and slipped it into the CD player. She slammed the ON button on the T.V. and stared intently at it.
After hours of watching the Wonderbolts, she turned the T.V. off. I want to be the best. Better than the Wonderbolts! I will be the best. She decided.
Blaze looked around and made her way towards the door and softly opened it and looked out to make sure there was no one home. She then face-hoofed. Her parents told her that they were shopping!
"Maybe I'll go practice flying at the Everfree forest,"Angel Blaze thought aloud, and silently tip-toed out of her room, careful not to wake up Rarity's cat. She had offered to cat-sit her since Fluttershy had to go shopping. She put of hoof on the doorknob and turned it, making a screeching sound. This woke up Rarity's cat (I forgot her name), and the cat hissed and jumped at Angel who shrieked.
Angel ducked, and the cat landed on the door. She took the chance to leave, slamming the door close on the cat who hissed loudly and began clawing at the door.
She sighed with relief once she was out of the house, "Phew. Why did I have to offer to cat-sit that monster?" she blinked and looked around. She wasn't allowed out of the house without permission and almost everyone in Ponyville knew that, since her parents were so famous, ponies were always eavsdropping on their conversations. They could never have privacy.
Before anyone could see her, she grabbed a coat and hat and quickly put them on, so no one would notice them. Angel Blaze decided to go visit the Cake's for a snack before she went to the Everfree forest to practice her flying. She padded across the street, her hoofs click-clacking against the road.
Angel Blaze looked through the window to see if there was any customers. If someone got too near to her, they would surely figure out who she was. Luckily, there was no one but the Cake's and Pinkie Pie. Angel hadn't got the chance to meet Pinkie Pie yet. So maybe, she could meet the party-pony as well as visit.
She walked in, the bell ringing and the two Cake's quickly raced to the counter, "Hello dear customer! How can we help you?" they said at the same time before Angel even got to the counter.
"Can I have a dozen of Double-Fudge cupcakes?"
"Sure thing!" Mrs. Cake pulled out a box of cupcakes from under the counter.
"Thanks,"
"No problem. That'll be... 6 bits,"
Angel handed them 6 bits, "Also," she paused, "Can I visit Pinkie Pie? Is she home?"
Mr. Cake looked at Mrs. Cake who nodded, "Sure! She's upstairs. I'll give you your cupcakes when you leave."
"Thank you." Angel said and started going up the stairs. Pinkie Pie, who was eavesdropping on their conversation jumped right in front of Angel Blaze. Pinkie did a dramatic gasp (same one she did to Twi), and ran away towards her room.
Blaze stood there on the stairs, dumbfounded, "What...just happened?" she thought aloud. Instead, of going back to Pinkie Pie, she headed back downstairs to pick up her cupcakes.
"How was Pinkie Pie?" the Cake's asked her.
Angel snickered a bit, "Fine."
They looked disappointed, "Just fine?"
"Wait no, scratch that. She was amazing, "She lied, biting her lip, "Well, I gotta go now. I'll see you later." She waved to them, and the waved back. Holding the double-fudge cupcake box in her mouth, she pushed the door open with her head.
She began to walk towards the Everfree forest. When she stopped infront of it, she did a disgusted and scared look, "This is the Everfree forest?" she wondered aloud.
Blaze's knees were trembling, "W-Well... If I want to be the best and fastest flyer.. I have to be able to stand this right? Rainbow Dash had to do it. So I have to do." she said, confidence building up.
Bravely, she walked in, ignoring all the scary things around her. She kept walking, thorns pricking her hooves. But she ignored them. She needed to find a good place to practice flying.
Angel reached a bridge, a very unsteady one you could say. It looked as if it'd collapse any second.
"No problem. I'll just fly right over it." She said confident. She flapped her wings and began to fly steadily over. When she reached the other side, she noticed three pegasi dressed in the same uniform as the Wonderbolts but instead of Blue and yellow. They were black and yellow.
"Welcome Angel Blaze.." One said, stepping a few inches closer to her.
Angel Blaze stiffened, "What do you want with me? And how do you know my name?" she demanded.
"It's obivous that we'd know you. You're the greatest flyer in Equestria." Another pegasus answered.
She giggled, "Well, maybe that's true. I beat Rainbow Dash in our race."
"That's why we want you to join us... Shadowbolt.."
Blaze's eyes widened, "But I was planning to join the Wonderbolts!"
"NOO!" they roared, "We want YOU! With you, we will rise and be better than the Wonderbolts! Angel Blaze, come to us.."
This caught her attention, "You want me..?"
They nodded.
"You sure that you'd be better than the Wonderbolts. 'Cause you know.. I don't want to make a mistake and not be famous. My mother used to say, 'Once you decide your path, you can't turn back.'"
"Yes, yes! We are sure!" They sighed, getting annoyed.
Angel Blaze's eyes sparkled, "Of course I'll join you! Why not? If it's a chance to be famous, then yes!" she exclaimed.
The Shadowbolts turned, "Follow us." they said, and she did. But what she didn't notice was the smirk on their faces and whispers, "We're close, Nightmare Moon. Just wait a bit more."
A/N - I know Angel Blaze is already famous, but she wants to be MORE famous. Like, not just famous cause of her parents? She wants to get famous on her own without her parents' help. Sorry, if that confused you. XD I hope you like it so far. I'm only 13 and not much of a writer, but I'm trying my best! Also, I did make it longer than the other chapters, like I promised.
Racing with Rainbow
...And with that Rainbow Dash raced off, Angel Blaze trailing behind her.
Angel Blaze closed her eyes. The feeling. The feeling of wind in her mane. She felt as if she could keep flying and never stop. She began to beat her wings harder and faster, forcing them to go forward to match Rainbow's speed. I'm doing it! I'm racing Rainbow Dash, and matching her speed! She exclaimed in her mind, and began to fly faster, a head of the cyan pegasus.
The feeling of having the wind blowing her mane was amazing. Angel felt as if she could do anything. Fly for hours, days, months! She felt as if she could pick up all of Cloudsale. She felt strong, fast, and powerful, like nothing could step in her way.
After racing for hours, the two were beginning to slow down and tire. Although, they didn't stop and kept flying until Rainbow Dash...
BAM!
She crashed right into the face of a cliff, and Angel laughed and began to fly a bit forwards, "I win! I beat the amazing Rainbow Dash!" she exclaimed, striking a pose.
"Hey! No far, I crashed!" Rainbow objected.
"Whatever, you could have looked where you were going."
"Psh! I bet you weren't looking where you were going!"
"Did to!"
"Did not!''
"Did too!" The two began to laugh at their argument and Rainbow spoke, " 'Kay, you win. I admit it." she confessed, bowing down, "Oh my lady, please give me a punishment." she joked and the began to laugh once more.
Rainbow got up, "Race one more time?" she asked, hoping for a rematch.
The white pegasus nodded, batting her wings steadily, "You're on!" The two pegasi raced off, "Whoever.. gets to that cloud first, " Rainbow pointed at a large cloud, fairly far away.
"Wins." Angel finished for her. The two were panting now, still tired from their other race earlier, but none of them were going to step down. They were pretty close now, still tied. Angel began to flap her wings harder and faster and then...
"I WIN!" She cried out, reaching the cloud a few feet before Rainbow who was in awe.
Rainbow laughed, " 'Kay, you won. Ain't gonna beat me this time." and they set off once more, the cyan pegasus getting a head start.
