At first she thought they were storm clouds. That is, until she heard the buzzing. That was the first time she heard of the changelings. But it would be eternities before she could forget the things she saw.

Canterlot has fallen. The Princesses are the prisoners. And now, every pony lives in terror of being the next meal of the changeling invaders—because they've seen what happens. To be drained completely of love, it's said to be a fate worse than death. But a scraggly band of survivors have managed to come together, hiding deep in the shadow of the Everfree. It soon becomes clear the world they once knew, a world of happiness and freedom, will forever more be nothing but a memory. But maybe, together, they can do more than just survive in this new changeling-choked Equestria. Maybe they can do more; live, thrive, and find some semblance of peace.

But first, they'll have to survive.

Takes place in the changeling run au shown in the season five finale. For simplicity's sake, I'll just call it the Changlingverse. A story about the Great and Powerful Trixie.
