On a dull cloudy Sunday morning, Applejack and Applebloom walk through the wet streets of Ponyville. The scent of last night’s rain was present in the air, making a warm yet stuffy atmosphere.
“What do you think he’ll say?” Applebloom asked with uncertainty.
“I think he might be surprised, but other’n that… Well, I dunno,” Applejack replied. “Y’all two hadn’t seen each other in a while.”

“I know, but look at me. I’m alright, and it’s all because of Spike,” Applejack said with a smile. They came upon the castle.
“How do we get in?” Applebloom asked.
“Oh that’s right I never brought you here. Only the elements can get in. Twilight had to change that around after somepony broke in, well walked in.” Applejack came up to the door. Her cutie mark began to glow and so did the door. Her cutie mark appeared on the door before it slowly slid open. As they walked in Applebloom was awestruck by the castle’s elegant crystalline structure and design. “Since you’re studying, uh what was it? Starts with an ‘A’?”
“Architectural Design,” Applebloom wistfully answered.
“Right that, well maybe this place can give you some inspiration or somethin’.” Applejack walked on believing that Applebloom followed. “Applebloom?” Applebloom was walking in circles, overloading on the castle’s beauty. “You wanna stay here?” Applebloom said nothing and continued to twirl like a foal in a candy store. “I’ll take that as a yes,” Applejack chuckled. She continued happily on her way. Even though there were clouds overhead, you would think that she had the Sun shining exclusively on her.
She made it to the room and knocked on the door. From inside a deep “come in” echoed or sending pleasurable chills down her spine. She came in and saw that he wasn't in his bed. “Spike?”
“Applejack?" he called, but she didn't see any sign of him. She stepped further into the room and called again.
“Spike? Where are you?”
“Over here.” she turned to the left and saw him sitting in front of the window looking at the gray world below. Applejack came to him and sat by his side.
“Whatcha lookin’ at?” she asked casually.
“Nothing, just taking in the sunlight,” Spike chuckled sarcastically.
“I see you're outta bed.”
“Yeah, my leg doesn't hurt that much anymore.” They sat there staring out of the window, only shifting slightly. “You uh… Look really. Really pretty today.”
“Aw, thanks sugarcube,” Applejack giggled with a blush. “You look very handsome yourself.”
“Oh, uh… Thanks.” Again no words were shared between the two. “Sorry for being awkward.”
“Pardon?”
“I’m sorry for being awkward. I don't know what to do or say… never had a real marefriend before.”
“You're doin’ fine darlin’,” Applejack reassured. “Besides, it's really cute.” She mentally cursed herself for saying something so gooey. That and she never thought that she would call anything other than a little critter cute. Spike didn't seem to mind though, actually he had the cutest smile to go along with his blush. “There's something I wanna talk about…” she said, her voice taking on a more serious tone.
“What is it?” Applejack cuddled up to him. Spike hesitated at first then draped his wing over her.
“Well, with you savin’ my life twice now, and us bein’ infatuated and all. I wanna do something for you.”
“Like what?” Spike asked with intrigue.
“It's kinda a surprise. I hope that you'll like it.”
“Can you tell me what kind of surprise it is?” Spike innocently pleaded.
“Well… I just…” Applejack stuttered. Spike knew that it was something that she was unsure about, her snout was as red as the apples on her cutie mark.
“It's okay. I can wait.”
“Really? Okay, come to Sweet Apple Acres tonight.”
“It's a date,” Spike agreed with a wink. Applejack squealed with joy but then caught herself immediately after. Spike held his claw to his mouth trying to hide his smile from an obviously flustered Applejack.
“You forget you heard that,” she commanded through her shaky tone and blush. Spike turned away from her stifling hours laughter. “Spike, I ain't playin’. Don't tell no one I did that,” she demanded while punching his leg.
“Ah, ah, careful. That's the leg,” Spike winced.
“Are ya gonna forget that I made that sound?” Spike bit his lip and looked away. “I’ll hit harder. I mean it!”
“Okay, okay, your secret is safe with me.”
“Good,” she said with a huff. Little did they know, Twilight and Applebloom saw everything.
“I told you they were cute together,” Twilight whispered.
“No kiddin’. Look at Spike though, wings n’ everything,” Applebloom said in a surprised whisper.

“What do you mean? Aren't you an Alicorn?”
“No, I meant the couple thing,” Twilight corrected.
Dontcha have Flash?” Applebloom asked.
“I haven't seen him in months. I understand he's a part of the royal guard, but a letter every once in a while doesn't hurt…”
“I see… Well all I can- oh my gosh they're about to kiss!” Applebloom said louder than what she had wished. Spike and Applejack whipped their heads around, Applejack more aggressive than Spike. “Heh, h-hey y'all,” Applebloom chuckled nervously.
“The least ya coulda did was knock,” Applejack sighed.
“Sorry, we didn't want to disturb y'all two,” Applebloom said with unsteady nerves.
“Well, you did an okay job,” Spike joked. “Hey Applebloom, how are you doing?”
“I'm doing great, y’know school, boring assignments, stress. But that's nothing. Seems like I missed a lot here.”
“Well, aside from Timberwolves trying to nip at our heels, things have been normal,” Spike answered.
“That and, well…” Applebloom poked. Spike looked on confused while Applejack hid under her hat.
“Twi come on, let them talk and catch up and whatnot.”
“Oh, well uh- hey!” Applejack took hold of Twilight's hoof and whisked her out of the room.
“Twilight, what does Spike like?”
“Like? What do you mean?”
“Like, what does he like? Y’know if he does something good, what would he want for an award?”
“Well, I think he still likes comic books, and he absolutely loves rubies.” Applejack didn't know a lick of anything about comic books, and she had no idea how she would find some rubies. She pondered over what she could do on such short notice. Then it hit her.
“Twilight?” she asked.
“Yeah?” Twilight answered.
“H-Has Spike ever,” she choked trying to summon up the nerve to ask the one pony who has the closest relationship with Spike such a dirty low brow question.
“Has he ever...?” Twilight urged her on.
“Has he ever done anything s-” she tried her hardest to get it out.
“Applejack,” Twilight adopted a sympathetic tone. “You can ask anything you want. You have my full support.”
“Has Spike ever had sex…?” Applejack closed her eyes in hopes of sparing herself from Twilight's furious gaze.
“I don't really know.” Applejack was taken aback by how docile Twilight was. She wasn't forcing her neutral state, she was calm about this. And it only made Applejack feel even more on edge. “I know he's been sexualy active for a long time now, though I never caught him pleasuring himself.”

“Okay Applejack.” Twilight took her wing off of b Applejack. Applejack went back in the room leaving Twilight in the hallway. “That was the most uncomfortable conversation I've ever had.”Twilight said to no one but herself. “I hope I won't regret this…” Applejack trotted out and down the hallway.
“Thanks Twi, see ya later!” she shouted back down the hall.
“Bye Applejack! Good luck!” Twilight shouted back.
“Sweetie can you bring that box over here,” Rarity politely asked her little sister. Rarity was moving back into the boutique after spending more time in Canterlot than what she would like. “It'll be nice to be back in familiar surroundings, don't you think?”
“That and your dress sales will make paying the bills easier,” Sweetie Belle commented. Rarity scoffed and resumed unpacking. “I'm joking. I'm glad that you're coming back home.”
“As am I.” A loud knock came from downstairs. “Now who could that be?” Her and Sweetie Belle trotted down the stairs to the door. Rarity touched up her mane before opening the door. “Applejack? What are you doing here?”
“I need your help.”
“Of course, what do you need?”
“It's a little personal. Mind if we get a little privacy?”
“No problem at all. Sweetie if you can, go finish organizing. I shouldn't be too long.” Sweetie Belle did as she was told and trotted back upstairs. “What is it that you need?”
“Remember when we were back in my room and we were talkin’?”
“Not immediately. Can you refresh me on the details?”
“Damnit!” she mumbled.”Remember when we were talkin’ on my bed?”
“Oh that. I vaguely remember the conversation. It was something about relationships and-” she stopped, adorning a frown.
“What's wrong?” Applejack asked with a tilt of her head.
“You just think I'm a filthy little harlot don't you?” she fumed.
“What? No. Why do ya think everypony sees you like that? Look, you're not a harlot, but you do have more experience than me.” Rarity turned her neck to Applejack, holding her head up high like a snobby Canterlot pony.
“Rarity come on!” Applejack pleaded. Rarity just huffed and keep hey back to her. “I'm trying to make love to Spike, and I need to know what guys like.” She said loud and proud, yet her eyes were closed.
“Is that all?” Rarity laughed with a genuine smile. Applejack grew more flush and embarrassed as she continued to laugh. “I thought you were trying to ask if I knew any stallions,” she laughed louder.
“Now why on Celestia's good green Earth would I do that??” Applejack asked with slight offense.
“That's why I caught a little attitude.” Rarity collected herself. “Sorry for laughing. It tickled me a little.”
“Heh, you ain't done nothin’ wrong,” Applejack chuckled.
“Now, you want to take things to a new level with Spike. Hmm… Does he have any interests?”
“That's why I came to you. I don't know anything about how guys work or think, unless we go off of Big Mac.”
“That's a terrible reference,” Rarity snorted. “Well, even though he's a dragon, I'm sure he thinks like a stallion.”
“That's good, I guess…”
“So, what's the first thing you need?” Rarity asked with pep. Applejack shrugged her shoulders. “You need to attract him, physically.” Applejack looked over herself. “Lucky for you, you have a nice big rump.”
“Excuse me??” Applejack’s cheeks instantly turned ruby red.
“Don't be ashamed of your natural gifts, embrace them. Now come upstairs, let's see what looks good on you.”

An hour hour since the sun fell below the horizon. The Pegasus team along with Rainbow created a gentle breeze to go along with the patchy cloud in the sky. Luna's moon shown through these patches creating a blue broken glow across the land. Spike sat on a balcony looking over Ponyville. He watched as lights twinkled across the town, and ponies enjoyed the warm summer night.
“I guess it's time,” Spike said with a sigh. He rose and spread his wings before taking off into the night.
“Spike?” Twilight called. She stepped out on the balcony barely making out his silhouette against the dark starry sky. “You could have at least told me you were leaving… At least you get to be with the one you love…”
Spike landed at the gates leading to Sweet Apple Acres. As he walked through the grounds the soft whispers of the rustling leaves calmed his nerves, for he did not know what Applejack had in store for him. He knocked on the door.
“Hello? Applejack, I'm here!” he called, but there was no response. He knocked again, louder this time. “Applejack? Anypony?” He was going to knock again until something white caught his eye. There was a note in between the door and its frame.
“The door is open, head upstairs to claim your reward,” he read aloud. Curiosity began to set in. He followed the directions and stepped inside. It was dark, lit only by four candles that burned on a nearby table. “Applejack?” he nervously called into the darkness. “I swear, her and Rainbow had better not try to scare me,” he thought as he made his way to the stairs.
He began to climb, enjoying the sweet smell of perfume coming from upstairs. “Another one?” he said as he picked a note off the wall. “Come on, I'm waiting for ya big boy, Applejack,” Spike chuckled at the thought of Applejack talking in a sultry tone. He felt more confident that she wasn't trying to fright him, actually he may like, no love his “reward”. Whatever it may be.
He came to her bedroom door. He could see a shadow moving around in the faint candlelight. He knocked on the door, immediately the shadow dashed away, and Applejack called “It's open”. Spike stepped inside and his jaw dropped. Applejack lay seductively in her bed wearing red lingerie and lace on her legs, and her hair was untied, draping elegantly over her shoulders.
“Wow,” Spike mouthed.
