Prolouge

Gone. Out of thin air. She just…..vanished. This was crazy. She was just happy for the sake of her life of not being dead and she just clearly........gone....in thin air. The she, a female pegasus could feel the dreaded emptiness wrapped around her arms just as much to her surprisement. “......what? OH NO! This can't just happen! It just can't be!! Where’d she go.....!? Not again!! I can’t lose her anymore! She was just here! This isn’t fair!!!” cried the cyan pegasus, whose voice sounded a bit cracked. How did this all happen? In just one perfect thing of all relief, everything just went wrong again. The scared equine tried to hold her cries and tears as she looked, tempting her to know that she was probably hiding or…or….“...n-no...she’s..gone…I-I…” The wind around her suddenly swelled up with an upcoming bad rainstorm as the clouds and sky turned into a coal-black, charcoal color. Running tears reflected into the pegasus’s eyes as her cyan color coat turned dull, and her heart had began sinking. Her body was colder than the rainstorm, every slow, aching heartbeat, that’s all she felt. She remembered a night just like this one. Pain. Cold. And unmistakable defeat. I lost again, the saddened pegasus cheerlessly thought, as her eyes lost it's control and minimized,...how did this just happen to me? At the perfect time, I could tell her....tell her everything......but I just keep losing and losing it all. Completely everything. Oh, sure life could get tougher, like if I didn't exist or anything. But why did it have to end up with somepony like her...Rarity....Why did you have to go? Why did you have to leave me at such a bad time like this....? I could've still saved-....The sky blue pegasus felt so weak, yet so fragile that she could almost fall. The nimble raindrops had pounded on the mare's body as she could feel herself to crash. She stared at her identical reflection from the running stream and could see herself become of this. This is not her. This isn't her at all. Hold a sceond. This ISN'T her at all. " Wait a minute, why am I acting like this? Why do I always keep acting like around these kind of things?! I don’t break down on stuff like this! In fact, what am I doing with myself with this?!? She just must’ve some stupid teleportation spell!!" She cuffed the water with a strong blast from her ergot and started walking slowly with a big grunt. The pegasus's eyes glared with puffed up anger, like if someone had taunted her. "Yeah right, like if I do that crying thing anymore! If I could remember, this has nothing to deal with of me crying in it! Just forget about it!" It was times like these that Rainbow Dash had a second opinion on emotional things like this. How was this her problem? It's not. But yet again, deep inside, she felt like breaking into a failure of tearstreams as she whimpered solefully. She remembered everything she has done with her. I can’t stop thinking of this. Why? I guess it's all my fault I bet. Sure, blame on the pony who keeps risking her dumb excuses and life!! After conflict through conflict, her friends and Rarity and herself, Rainbow Dash, did it with no hesitation. If all those conflicts never happened, how couldn't Rainbow figure it out and she was being blind all this time? With Pinkie Pie’s and Twilight’s disappearance, she had no hope of saving her. And asking any random unicorn was not an easy task, in the opposite way of Dash's thinking that is. It would be for her......but......

“.....*sigh* What am I to do now? It's all over...” Rainbow mewed in a exhaling voice.

“Without unicorn magic or the ability of being unicorn, how could I find her?!!? Hay, she's probably even farther than my pegasus flying limit!! Man, who cares about that. But she’s no doubt,*sniffs*, already went somewhere else or probably farther than Equestria!!!! I couldn't keep up.....and it’s all my fault…nice work, Dash. Real nice. Oh, Rarity, wherever you are, I hope you're alright…And don't worry, I hope wherever you are......sigh.....the last thing I want happening......is something bad happening to you and I don't know about it.....and....”

She then started to glimpse at the moon, which shone brightly and flashbacks began to rummage through her mind……..I remember of so much we did. I believe all of that those things felt every usual typical day, but yet, why did it feel so special? Why did she care me around of those days? Why do I feel like everytime I get these mushy feelings every time when she’s with me or when I’m thinking of her? Why am I asking so many questions that I know the answer to? ".....bet for all the real last thing I want not to happen is for you're death and my poor excuse of loyalty....." The memories rummaged into her mind clearly, put into a remembrance and lament, and seeked those wonderful days she had...maybe some....

Chapter 1

Vengeance Of A Rouged Mare I

The pegasus of sky blue looked swirled around in the air. “So....wait...this is the place you wanna have the race at, AJ? Pfffhh, it looks short and ain't amusin me.” questioned Rainbow, if she wasn’t amused. Rainbow Dash had watched an apricot earth pony, while it was somewhat symbolizing the dusty, soil ground. “Nonsense, Dash. This is just the start of it. Don’t be so protestin. What makes the wonderbolt wannabe think that the start of a race ain't part of the race wonder? And I already told ya this is gonna be long one!” the orange earth pony chuckled. The pegasus may have been loyal to everypony she knew so far, but yet she had her doubts with her friends, including her rival, Applejack.

“Yeah well, I don’t really see much for 'being a long one'.” Rainbow condemned, as she pretended to be bored while she brushed dust of her chest.

It was times like these that Rainbow Dash can be a bit hard-hearted with her words and they seem to make everypony a little angry on the inside. However, Applejack couldn’t bear but to roll her eyes, give out an irritated sigh and a smile. This was just Dash that she knew by.“Well, then Dash, you just have faith in me here! There'll be tons for you to do here, once I start explainin how this whole course workin in all. That's unless ya your not intersted, that's fine with me of course….I suggest we could back home and go out-n-about...and oh, I don't know....give up....?” Applejack could find this way too easy to just make Dash convinved. And it did. Rainbow’s reaction snapped quickly, leaving her infested with astonishment and began shout, “Me? Giving up?" Rainbow spat out. She sprang to take liftoff from the air and was flying animately to show off. "Pffft, you're talking to the wrong pony, AJ. Remember, this Rainbow Dash you're speaking to!! I could withstand anything! It just a few acres away, I could take you on blindfolded!! Why in the steel horseshoes would I give up?! Sorry, giving up isn't in my schedule, AJ! Course I’ll do it!!” Rainbow Dash slightly glared her eyes on the back of her rival as she walked by. The concerned orange mare gave full eye contact onto her and replied, not regretting, “Are you sayin’ that you want to sprint all the way up there, with THE both of yer eyes covered? Even for the whole race?” contempted the orange earth pony. Rainbow raised an eyebrow and glided down to the ground. “Let’s just talk big, ‘kay? I'll be very sure I'm not blind here.”

"Okay, okay, this here will be the very first course of our run. She's about that long-" Applejack waved over to many trees behind her, "-their are about 4 courses, yet their in different places. Each set is about 2 ½ miles.”

Applejack began to whisper in Rainbow Dash's ear, “......18 miles for the sake of 4 days..?”

Rainbow ears perked up from this. 18 miles?!? 4 days?! Wow, when I kinda think about it, that's pretty long! "Feh, is that it? Little big me I could do 35 laps in the air in 10 seconds flat." Sometimes, the teal pegasus can be easily not amazed sometimes, making her a hardcore rock with a soft layer in the inside. Just as before she can say anything else, Rainbow’s could feel something wrapped around her body. Took the fact that some appendages were already wrapped around her wings by itchy, tight, rope. “Don’t tell me this is gonna be like the same thing from that ‘race’. No go with fly power is already in deal with me, but I can't take this kinda pressure!” Rainbow Dash hissed harder than a snake.

“Sorry Rainbow, but you got to play fair in order to have fun. Remember, I’m keepin an eye on you if you begin cheatin!! And you can forget science fiction that's yer so called 'backstory'.”

“I’d show you how to play fair once I get these legs moving. Then will see the one get’s spooked!” mumbled Rainbow, despite the fact of her inability to fly.

But by time she had her little under breath conversation, the orange farmer already headed to the starting line.

“Are you just gonna keep on talkin’ to yerself or you gonna RACE? CAUSE WE CAN GO BACK HOME IF YA LIKE!!!”

Without haste, Rainbow charged a comeback. Rainbow always was prepared herself with a comeback.

“I was waitin for you to get racin today,” Rainbow Dash began as she got close Applejack, “.....Partner.”

Applejack gave her assertive glare for the countryan insult. “Oh. It’s. On!”

Make at hasted, Applejack began running, with a very unprepared Rainbow Dash with her behind. “See you at the finish line!”

"More like see ya in history!!"

Chapter 2

“Oh Spiiiiiiiiiiike! Do be a dear and pick up the pace, won’t you?” said a female voice. “As you wish, Ms. Rarity!” replied a small, young dragon. A prim unicorn had appeared with a thin velvet scarf, whose eyes were a deep cerulean. A cutie mark with 3 marvelous sky blue diamonds on it, no doubt she had looked lovely. And those cerulean eyes were waiting for her lovely assistant, who had been behind her with such implacable luggage. The appealing gentlelady had inspected the little dragon in deep hardening with the carrying of the lugagge.“Awww, you poor thing, you did so much for me this whole afternoon. It must be tiring for you, Spikey Wikey. Why don’t you take a break while I do the rest? You did quite a lot for me, sweetie.” The unicorn replied to the baby dragon. “Nah, I don’t want you to start sweating up a storm on this bright, shiny, beautiful day! You already have worked so hard and greatly of this new assignment of yours. I can definitely handle it from here, Rarity!” answered Spike, as he could not at all handle it. Rarity began to pause herself and looked up in the sky blue celestial sphere of clouds and had just resumed herself to remember a thought.“Oh my, speaking of storm’s, the pegasi were planning to do one so this afternoon! I guess I forget to keep a rain check with the weather. And who knows when it can pop out of nowhere?! If you must do so, then come Spike! I don’t to wait so long, when I could here all of those fabulous gems waiting and calling my name!(And my fashion line!!)” The unicorn quickly scene caressed her hair and trotted along while leaving Spike behind with all the luggage. Rarity was very serious about fashion politics and her needs under this and she wanted to get this project done for what she has been doing for quite a while. That’s when Rarity spotted the autumn colors. Red, orange, yellow, it was a pretty sight. It made Rarity happy everytime when she saw these colors. In fact, autumn happened to be her favorite season ever since she was a filly. Such blend of colors so close yet different in every way. It made her warmer than the falling leafs she saw slowly gliding down beneath her hooves. “I just hope I'm not intruding you or anything. Don’t you have to help Twilight or anypony else at this time? I mean, not that I don't appreciate the help of such a kind dragon...” Rarity announced, in a lady like matter. “Nope, I don’t think so. Twilight is all up and about with Flash, and Undergo(Fluttershy) is in the Everfree Forest, for so what I know. I don’t want to be in anypony’s business unless it was worth it. Plus, a hard working mare should at least deserve the best of help! It does sometime gets a bit 'tilted' for me in the friendship between Twilight and my next door roomate neighbor, but sometimes I could understand what's like to have someone take care for you and all....” Spike responded, as he tried regain his strength with all the luggage he had to carry. Rarity grinned for an answer and continued walking.“If that what you must be for you so, dearie. I guess it did slip my mind for a little bit how those two are always tighter than a warm blanket.” Ah, yes, those two, Rarity pondered, I knew that Twilight would be in love in some point in time and now she already has been. Sigh, too bad I just keep feeling like the one who justs gets in the way with things when it comes to a stallion. After all, Blueblood was quite the most rudest, bad-mannered disgrace! Must I always ever have trouble with the perfect stallion!?!? Oops, now’s not the time to trouble about that now. I’ve got to get things straight! Plus, it was just a little event that not needed to be reminded any more. I've got bigger things to think about! “Aha!”, shouted Rarity, which made Spike jump a little bit, “Here we are! The zone of merciful diamonds, jewels and other priceless stones! I believe it's get a move on with this! Autumn style is waiting to be awaken from it’s deep hibernation!! Come on Spike, let us commence in jewel finding!” I’m pretty sure it’s not winter just yet, Spike wondered. The confident Rarity had trotted once again for her lovely gems, waiting yet to be dug out and be on style as once again, leaving a tired and weak Spike behind.

“Applejack said that this was the road to the race. Oh, I hope this is just the right time and place. I don’t want to be late without cheering them on!” said a soft voice. Fluttershy, one of Applejack’s, Rainbow’s and Rarity’s friend was to be expected at the race with those two. She had always tried to catch up with her companion's of what it's, but had somwhat be tardy, due to her animal friends and her misgivings. "If I'm going to be the pony who keeps being late to things like this, I'm going to need a metal hard schedule. But then again, what could wrong lead me too? I guess sometimes, when they don't pay attention, they could always forget of somepony coming for their game. Those two are always up and about challenges, as if that they can't keep up with there math tables......I guess...” As the cream coated pegasus went with her instincts, she had discovered a speck of sky blue and a fleck of apricot in motion. ".....What in stars...." She squinted her eyes as if she was leering at an enemy, to see what was in front of her that moved so fast. As if it looked like they bounced, the two speckles were moving and started to reveal the two sprinters who happened to be Rainbow Dash and Applejack. The more Fluttershy squinted, the faster the two went. Without consciousness, the speedy link came at a screeching halt. Fluttershy's spine rised up briskly, looking like if she was about to jump of a cliff. "Oh my!"

“.....I...told...you..this….wouldn’t be…..easy! But...ya never...listen...do ya?!” Applejack complained, while she was out of breath.

Fluttershy examined the two out-of breath rivals, looking like if they were about to collapse. However was the race that long, I wonder, Fluttershy thought. Unless if were starting the Running Of The Leaves place, then there was no way they could look defenseless. “Are...you...kidding…?..That….was easier than...10 laps in the air!!...You...didn't find.....that easy!!” Rainbow retorted, as she tried to unravel the rope that was cloaked around her wings. Again, without consciousness, Applejack and Rainbow Dash saw there zoned out friend, Fluttershy behind them. “There ya are, Fluttershy! What took ya? You were supposed to be here befor’ 10 A.M!” Fluttershy snapped back to reality and found Applejack with a measly glare. She hid in her long pink hair, trying not to make eye contact. “Oh I know, I guess I just couldn't make it on time…you know how busy by time by time is....Everfree forest is something I couldn-........never mind.....I'm sorry.”Fluttershy mumbled, but still clear enough for Applejack to hear. That's when for some reason the apricot pony blushed pink for disapproval and she nedded to apoligize. “No, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you like that. It wasn't right for me to do so either. ‘Scuse me for my attitude, Fluttershy. So, Rainbow, you wanna finish the 2nd one in the evening, Dash? I’d love to finish it all, really I DO, but I got an arrangement for Twi’s delivery and she’ll be there any second now.” Applejack interrogated. Rainbow replied with a grunt. “That's F-I-N-E with me. But don’t expect me to be easy next race! You just knew the path all along!”

“Maybe I didn’t...maybe I did…ya never know....See ya, Fluttershy!”

Applejack went on with her way to her home, Sweet Apple Acres, the common farm in Ponyville. Fluttershy waved back gently to the earth pony. I just hope that blue pegasus doesn’t get that race swirling through her head once we head into the next races. We already have enough confusion, you might as well call it amnesia, for land's sake.
