Generations ago a portal to earth opened in Equestria, humans and ponies could now meet. A plan to allow these two species to live in harmony was put into motion, a plan devised by a company known as O.N.Y.X. that consisted of both humans and ponies.

Human colonies were built around the planet of Gaia, and pony colonies on earth. Years later a human with a strange name was born in one of these colonies.

Twilight Sparkle finds this boy in the nation of Equestria in search of something. He's not just traveling, he is way too far away from any human colonies, so why is he there?

After hearing his tale the mane six set out with him on an adventure that will take them all over the world in search of something of great value to this young man, someone that he has been searching for.
