Load Full StoryNext ChapterSilver and Shadow entered the house. "Silver are you ok? And who is that on your back?" Rose said. "I'm fine, but I don't know who she is. I don't think she is anyone's child. She doesn't even have a name…" Silver said. The filly opened her eyes to look at Rose and Solar Star then she closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. "She's cute." Solar Star said. "She is certainly something." Silver said. "Why is that?" Rose said. "She was out in the storm, she most likely would have perished if I hadn't of protected her from a lightning bolt." Silver said. "Are you sure you're ok?" Shadow Tonic said. "Yes, I'm fine." Silver replied. "She doesn't seem to be hurt or anything." Rose said. "She's lucky." Silver said. "Do you have a name?" Silver asked the little filly. The little filly shook her head slowly. "Do you have a family?" Shadow said. The filly shook her head again while looking down at the floor. "She's an orphan." Rose said. "I know. Shadow Stella Eclipse has no family." Silver said. "What?" Solar said. "That's her name. We'll call her Stella for short." Silver said. "Are you sure you can take care of her?" Shadow said. "I took care of my younger sister when she was this age." Silver replied. "You have a sister?" Shadow Tonic said. "Well technically five, Sapphire being the oldest." Silver said. "I'm going to wash this little one up; she has dirt in her beautiful coat." Rose said. She approached the filly and went to pick her up. The filly jumped off Silver's back before Rose could get her. "It's ok Stella. She'll give a bath." Silver told the little filly. The little one looked at Rose. She slowly walked up to her. Rose picked her up and took her upstairs. "She's an odd filly." Shadow Tonic said. "Let's go home Shadow." Solar Star said. "Sure. Bye Silver." Shadow said. "Bye you two, take care." Silver said.
Rose got the water just right for the little filly. She put her in the water; at first Stella didn't know how to react to the warm water. She had never felt water this warm before. She looked up at Rose. Rose looked at the expression on her face. "It feels odd, huh?" Rose said smiling. Rose washed her with a wash cloth, the filly jumped at first when she felt it touch her coat. After the bath, Rose wrapped Stella up in a towel. After she was done drying her, Stella's coat was fluffed up. Stella didn't look happy. "There, all better." Rose said. She picked up the filly and brought her downstairs. "She's all clean." Rose said. The filly jumped off Rose's back and ran up to Silver, she rubbed Silver's leg. The little filly let out a big yawn. "Are you getting sleepy?" Silver said. Stella nodded her head up and down. "Ok, let's take you too bed." Silver said as she picked the filly up. "Um, Silver? Are you going to get a shower? You're dirty…" Rose said. "Woops, better go do that. Be right back." Silver said as she gave the filly back to Rose. Silver ran up the stairs to go get a shower. After five minutes Silver ran back downstairs, now clean. "I feel better now that I cleaned up." Silver said, she seen Rose and Stella sitting on the couch. The filly looked around as she sat there comfortably. When she seen Silver, she bounded off the couch and ran up too Silver. "I take it you're ready for bed?" Stella shook her head up and down before letting out a yawn. Silver picked up Stella and trotted up to Rose, she gave her a kiss on the cheek. And went upstairs, Silver took the filly to her room and sat her on the bed. Silver covered the filly in a blanket. She then went around to the other side of the bed and lay down beside the filly. "Night, Stella." Silver said. Silver felt the filly snuggle with her. Silver just smiled.
Silver woke up in the middle of the night, she seen that Stella had kicked the blanket off of her. Silver covered her back up. She gave her a smooch on the forehead. The filly left out a sigh, Silver lay back down and went back to sleep.
Silver woke up to find the sun coming down through the window of her bedroom. She turned over to see that Stella wasn't in the bed. "Where is she?" Silver said. As she was getting out of bed, her left rear leg got caught in the blanket and she hit the floor with a "thud". She quickly scrambled to get up; when she did she trotted down the stairs. "Maybe she got up and went down stairs." As she got down the stairs, she saw the filly sitting at the kitchen table. Blood Rose was washing the dishes while humming a tune. "Oh hey silver." Blood rose said. "Hey Rose. So that's where Stella went." Silver replied while taking a seat at the kitchen table. "She just ate. Oddly she wouldn't eat the eggs or the toast, she ate and apple and an orange…" Rose said. "Maybe she just likes fruits and vegetables?" Silver said. "Possibly, when she wouldn't eat the eggs or toast, I offered her a pick of our fruit and she chose the apple and orange." Rose replied. "Well, she is our unique filly." Silver said with a smile. Stella let out a grin. "She's been good this morning. She helped me in the garden. She scared off a few rabbits nibbling at the carrots. She even helped me water the Morning Glories." Blood Rose said. "You're helpful around the house, aren't you Stella?" Silver said. Stella shook her head up and down in agreement. "I need to get some sunflower oil for my mechanical leg. You want to come, Stella?" Silver said. "Y-yes." Stella said. "She spoke." Blood Rose said in shock. Silver gave Stella a hug. "You're so special. Welcome to the family Stella." Silver said.
