Once apon a time in the land of Equestria...
Two sisters ruled the land, restored to a holy duality by the amulets known as the elements of Harmony. However, forgin nations fought over historic soils and over time ruined the work done by the second savures. Instead one of the duality lost her will to rule, giving over to her younger and more quick to anger or action sister. The sister, rought with power and fear, commissioned many great projects which eventually brought an end to the first age, bringing about the second.
The second age was a time of war and strife, expecialy for the first few hundred years before the elements returned in the form of arcane technology. Again, peace was brought to the land by bearers of the elements, as well as the other heroes that forcibly pasified it in turn.
For hundreds of years, while the legends of those last element bearers were slowly lost to the stories of heroes, peace was held through the land. However, peace is waining and again we enter a new age of strife. New heroes must find their way from the outskirts of history to restore the pony races again to glory. But can the elements once again be reborn? And what heroes must serve to bring in the age in which they can prosper? That, my little ponies, is a story long and grand.
Prologue: Heroes of the ages.
Throughout our history their have been several ages, only known as being separated by times of great turmoil. We have just entered into one of these ages, and these last few years have been nothing but injustice and hate. It was hundreds of years after the two sisters finally lost control of the elements of harmony that the second age gained it's truest champions, the ministry mares who became the symbols of progress as the immortal sisters had once been the symbols of peace and harmony as they defeated one of the dark, recurring, champions of madness: Discord.
The Second wave bearers of the elements of harmony, known as the ministry mares, lost their connection as quickly as their predecessors, but for those teachers and champions the age ended quickly and soon. Only, maybe, a few decades before their empire decayed in a way that it took almost a thousand years for the previous god-king's empire to decay in bureaucracy and stagnation. While the signs were clearly present for hundreds of years, the times of chaos were far less turbulent between these two ages causing some debate in academic communities on whether or not they should really be counted as two ages and how to distinctify one from the other.
Next, of course, was the age of war and strife that filed away under balefire streaked skies that took hundreds of years to truly fix itself in the time known as the age of heroes. The age of heroes, the time during which the second age converged with the third,is characterized by the many heroes that helped to save and sometimes unite the warring kingdoms and tribes that took refuge in that dark and deserted wasteland. Several of these heroes, many in fact, have become far more famous then the element bearers themselves. Causing the rise in religious strife, as many take to calling on the heroes rather than the element bearers for help and guidance.
These cults are, however, the most benign of the other orders beside the church of the sisters. Besides, perhaps, the followers of the apocalypse. No, it is the cult of the Goddess trinity, the Red-Eyed army, and the other churches of the adversaries which cause the most strife with that holy order.
This, this is why we are in another time of conflict. Another time of strife and fighting, another time that may lead to war. This is another time of heroes, which is something that many must learn. We are entering the fourth age, a new age of bearers, a new age that may ravage our lands and one that may give us hope. That knowledge, is only that of the fates and seers.
