My name is Daybreaker, and this is my story.
Ever since the last decade or so, there had been something unusual in the air, and when humans like us first made contact with this strange world of... ponies, things got weirder. Since that day, we've been allied with the peaceful race of pastel colored beings, some even choosing to live in the human world, while humans themselves have also been living in the other world as well. Personally, I've never once understood it myself, but from what a few friends have told me, it's something that you can't possibly expect to understand unless you find it out for yourself.
With that in mind, I now stood at the bridge between the two worlds, essentially a bus station into a completely different world altogether. In order to be allowed to cross through, you had to be at least eighteen years old-or have a guardian of that age escort you through-and have a legal passport. Thankfully, I had both, and went through everything in purchasing a two-way pass to come and go into this strange new world whenever I could. With that in mind, I was soon sent to walk through the rift and enter into this strange world called Equestria.
Walking through the portal was like nothing I had ever gone through in my life; it felt as though my entire body was being warped into a new shape, completely changing things into something I had never once known myself. Needless to say, I was dizzy and seasick to the point where I frankly had no idea what was happening to me. Eventually, I passed through a light and soon found myself falling.
When next I awoke, my entire body felt odd. It didn't feel as though it were mine, but to be fair, it didn't feel like things were right to begin with as was lying back on a bed in what looked like a medical ward of some time.
"Oh good, you're awake" said a feminine from nowhere. Looking around, I found what appeared to be a humanoid looking individual, but with a few... additions. Her body looked similar to that of the ponies I had heard of, but didn't seem to be much of an equine at all, looking more like those furries they have on the internet. Her hair was a dark pink color, and her face was much more akin to the picture I had seen of ponies before.
"What..." I weakly croaked out, immediately noticing something was wrong with my voice. Rather than the masculine baritone I was known for having, it was instead higher and sounded purely like it was some woman's rather than my own.
"Most humans cross the path rather well, but after successfully crossing through yourself, you went and fainted for some reason. To be fair though, you've got it a lot better than a few other humans. My name is Nurse Redheart, by the way" she explained, making me feel at least somewhat better. She soon stood up and approached me, the sounds of what I could only assume were her heels clacking against the floor as she helped me up and adjusted the ice pack I apparently slept with on my head.

"But do they all become women, too?" I asked, albeit with a little more emphasis than I originally wanted.
"You weren't a mare before?" Redheart asked with a concerned look on her face that made my heart sink. I soon got up and pushed her aside to look at myself in the full length mirror. I soon stood up and tried to gather my thoughts, thinking to follow her orders and simply return home and try again. With that settled, I thanked Redheart for what she had done and went on my way. Until this time tomorrow, the portals will be shut down" he explained. I sighed and soon walked away as I thought about what it was I could to try and make some use of this opportunity of mine. Sadly, not a thing came to mind as I approached a public bench and sat down upon it, giving a sigh as I leaned my head back.
"Something the matter there, Sugarcube?" asked another feminine voice, this one being possessed by a clearly southern accent. I looked up and found what looked like an old fashioned cowgirl, dressed in a flannel shirt and tight jeans, wearing a brown leather Stetson upon her blonde hair. I looked deeply into her emerald green eyes and found myself struggling to say anything. After a few seconds of me stuttering like an idiot, she soon got a realizing look and chuckled before sitting down beside me.
"First time in Equestria, right?" she asked, to which I nodded. "I know it's a pretty big step and all, but ya can't just let it get to ya. It was for me my first time in your world" she told me, patting my shoulder before wrapping me up in a big hug from the side. "Name's Applejack, and you are...?" she asked.
"Daybreaker" I answered, my eyes fluttering.
"Nice ta meet' cha" Applejack said, smiling ever so brilliantly in the afternoon sun. "So, how ya liking things so far?" she asked. I took a good look at the world around and found things feeling awkward with how I knew nothing about this world.
"I guess I haven't been here long enough to gain an opinion" I chuckled, ribbing the back of my fluffy hair as I blushed ever so slightly. Applejack seemed to find that funny though, patting my back rather harshly.
"Don't worry, things'll get better sooner than ya might think" she promised. "Guess if ya need somepony Ta talk to, ya'll can head on up Ta Sweet Apple Acres sometime" she said before getting up and heading back off, giving her the perfect view of her curvy ass barely hidden behind her blonde tail.
"Ooh, I see ya like AJ" giggled a high pitched voice that made me nearly jump. Turning behind me, another girl sat there. "How did you-"

Just the beginning of a hopefully decent story I've been messing with. I apologize if things aren't really as good as my previous stories, this is just something random that I got inspired by a little while before submitting this. Either way, I'll be regularly trying to update this in my spare time.
