11. The Story

Previous Chapter

I really wish I didn't have to deal with this. Miff thought, as he sat on his bed, Jeff and Gabis in his kitchen using his cheese and trying to mutate it. Sometimes being special sucks. There was a knock on the door, that seemed to stop suddenly, and then a pony's silhouette in through the window's curtains.

"Who is it?" Miff asked. The pony crawled in through the window. It was Rainbow Dash, and she looked very excited to see Miff.

"Heya Miff, couldn't help but notice your window is smashed." She said.

"Yeah, you can blame my friends for that one." He replied.

"Oh okay. Any chance I could meet these said friends?" She asked. She thought that she could get closer to Miff by being friends with his friends so they'd all be friends and friendship would be friendly spread. There was a lot of friendship in the idea, although the whole point was pretty much to cause romance.

"Yeah, they're in the kitchen trying to mutate my cheese."

"Sounds, um... interesting." Rainbow said, very confused.

"Yeah, they're cool people." Miff said. "JEFF! GABIS! COME HERE!"

"Hey wait, weren't those two in the gaming tournament earlier today?"

"Yeah."

"What do you need Miff? We're so close to getting it." Gabis said.

"And by so close to getting it you mean...?" Miff asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We have no idea what we're doing." Jeff answered. Rainbow broke out into laughter and fell on the floor.

"Hey who's this?" Jeff asked.

"This is Rainbow Dash, my friend." Miff answered.

"Oh cool, nice to me-" Gabis was immediately cut off by an explosion coming from the kitchen. "AW FUDGE, IT HAPPENED!!"

"What, you got the cheese to mutate?" Rainbow asked.

"No, the same thing that caused us to have to come here and use Miff's cheese." Jeff said. Rainbow fell on the floor in laughter again.

"Wait, so what do we do now?" Gabis asked.

"Now, we leave to go buy more cheese and don't come back in the story until needed for a final fight or something." Jeff said.

"What?" Rainbow asked.

"Long story." Miff said.

"I've got time." Rainbow said.

"We don't! The story's boring and long, so bye!" Gabis said, grabbing Jeff by the arm and crashing through the other window by the door.

"You had to go through the other window?!" Miff yelled.

"Yeah, it's for comic relief, don't worry!" Gabis yelled as he ran off, dragging Jeff behind him.

"Anyways, back to this story." Rainbow said.

"Oh yeah! Sit tight, this will take a while." Miff said. "So, I had a normal life for the first five years, and as I got older, I grew more curious. I once ran off and explored this weird forest, and no it wasn't the Everfree Forest, it was a forest by my house that was said to have been completely normal, but as time passed, it just kinda became dead.
When I was around five years old, I decided to check out the forest. I was just walking through it for a long time, when I reached something that looked like a civilization, but the ponies living there weren't normal ponies. They were like demons. They were completely white, with no eyes, and huge horns growing out their heads. And, as the idiotic child I was, I decided I could take 'em on. I went in there and was immediately hit with some kind of blue dust. I passed out, and felt some sort of surge of electricity flowing through my body.
I woke up a few hours later at home, in my bed. It was very strange. I got so mad, because I never got to smack one across the head, and with my anger came the surge of electricity again. I got more and more angry, and suddenly was flying. Everything started turning blue, and there was this blinding flash. When I regained my vision, everything was slightly blue. I could still fly, and I could see little flows of electricity going down my torso and through my legs and arms.
And, as the destructive little kid I was, thought I'd go destroy the demon ponies like this. I flew very quickly to their village, and tried to make everything melt with my mind. That didn't work, but what did, was when I tried forming blue energy balls in my hands. I formed a nice big one (wasn't too big, I was still young and weak, so it couldn't be too strong), and threw it at the biggest building I could find.
This huge demon pony wearing a crown came out of the rubble and started running towards me. I flew away as fast as I could, but my fur snagged on a tree. When I got off, I kept flying, and my powers began to deplete, as my feelings turned from anger and confidence, to fear and worry. I fell on the ground, and started running as fast as I could. When I got in my house, I ran inside and hid under my bed.
A few years later, I had this weird dream, where I saw my family, friends, other people I knew, and then a pair of demonic eyes. They were flashing red every time the eyes blinked, and I couldn't stop walking into them. When I woke up, I just ignored it, and continued with my day. Later that week, I saw a demon who was almost my clone, same hairstyle, powers, shape and size, except the opposite of me. He was blue, with red energy when he was super, and had white hair, along with the horns and no eyes. He was super, and destroying the entire city, so I knew I had to stop him. By then I had a bit of a grasp on my powers. I had even discovered a new ability.
I became super and tried to beat him, and it was a hard, long, painful fight, but I eventually beat him, with the help of Gabis and Jeff. Things were normal then, there were a couple demon attacks afterwards, and then the attacks stopped, after they were constantly defeated. And after the attacks ended, everything was okay, until now.
My first night in Ponyville, while I was staying at Twilight's castle, I had the dream again, except with a few changes, but the eyes were still there. And I recently figured out the mystery pony from the gaming tournament was the demon clone of me, and now I have to go through all that pain and misery again." Miff explained. Rainbow was very surprised by this story.

"Is all this true?" She asked. Miff nodded. Rainbow looked down at the ground and frowned. Suddenly, her eyes lit up and she got a smile on her face. "Well, it may have been hard then, but it will be easier now, because you not only have Jeff and Gabis to help you out, you got me and the others to help you!"

"You'd really help me with something so life threatening?" Miff asked.

"Yeah! It wouldn't be the first time we've gone through something deadly." Rainbow said, very confidently.

"Gee thanks, I appreciate it." Miff said, with a smile.

Author's Note

Okay, a little news, as I was writing that backstory, I was making up Miff's actual backstory the whole time. Anyways, thanks for reading the story so far, and I hope you're enjoying!
