Miff woke up at 5:30 AM. There was no time for sleep (despite the fact that he purposely got about 7 and a half hours of sleep). The tournament was today!

Miff got ready and rushed out the door to get breakfast. Suddenly all of Ponyville heard the same thing.

"WHY DA FUDGE!!!" Miff yelled at the top of his lungs. The cafe was closed and didn't open until 6:30. "Well fine then, I'll come back half an hour before the tournament starts, how about dat?"

Miff got home and trained himself in the games that were being played in the contest until 6:30. At one point he decided to lay on the ground instead of sit up on his bed, because he caught a glimpse of everypony walking around outside. His yelling must've woken everyone up. He shrugged. No time to worry about others inconveniences.

It was 6:15, and Miff was finishing up, when he realized, when he found the sign up sheet, he saw that it was a gaming contest and immediately signed up and walked away. He never looked at other names or saw if there was a prize or anything. When he finished (at about 6:20) he got on his computer and looked up the contest. There were 16 contestants, including him. The prize was 1,000 bits. Now that Miff knew, he was ready.

When Miff got to the park where the tournament was being held, it was PACKED. All the ponies separated into groups, with the pony they were cheering for. When Miff found his spot and sat down, Twilight, Rainbow, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Spike, and Pinkie Pie came over and sat with him.

"Hey Miff. I see you're competing. Nervous?" Rainbow asked.

"You know it. By the way, thanks for coming. I didn't know you guys were into gaming." Miff said.

"I AM!! Twilight and Rarity don't seem much into it but AJ me and Rainbow love gaming! You should see us playing, it starts out smooth and soft and goes insane later! *gasp* You should join us sometime!" Pinkie said.

"Good idea Pinkie. Anyway, the tournament starts in 5 minutes. We'll cheer you on!" Rainbow said.

"Thanks guys." Miff said with a smile.

"Alright!" The announcer yelled into the microphone. "The gaming tournament is about to start! Round 1! The contestants for this round are..."

Oh yeah, by the way, this story takes place before Starlight becomes friends with the Mane 6, the Cutie Mark Crusaders get their cutie marks, and whatnot. Anyway, hope you're enjoying the story so far!
