Thundering Skies
The thunder
Load Full StoryNext ChapterHave you ever seen a war? A real war.
No, I'm not talking about the things you see in the media. Not the maps, lines and objectives. Or the soldiers riding machines of war, adorning grins of determination. I mean a real war. The look another pony gives you before deployment. That deploring look, filled with the purest of angst. That feel you get as you peak from cover, the sound of screams piercing your ears. That sickening look you wear as you watch ponies flounder within the fire balls. Or perhaps that shocking sensation when a plane comes crashing down from the heavens, streaking smoke as black as death itself.
You won't get out, not when your plane dives at three-hundred knots.
And no amount of propaganda can prepare you for that.
