Chapters Sunset closed her book and put it in her backpack. "Everything is set. I just need Twilight to give the heads up."

"Twilight! Twilight!" Spike yelled Twilght raced to Spike. "What happened? Are you hurt? Did somehing bad happen?!" She said in a panicked voice. "One piece of the portal came out. Is it bad?" Spike asked. Twilight's pupils turned into pinpricks."..Right after I sent the letter...Oh boy."
/////Canterlot High/////
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Sunset yelled as she entered the portal. This was..familiar, but it wasn't. She didn't have time to think though as she was thrust back to the front of... Canterlot High School. Sunet stood up to find that was she was face to face to a guy just about 2 inches taller and looked just like her, but as a guy.
"Who are you?" this guy asked.
"Sunset Shimmer. Who are you?"
"Nightfall Glow," He replied.
"This wouldn't be the weidest thing that happened to me...this week," They said in unison. They looked at each other and laughed out loud for a few moments. They were interupted by Sunset's book, which was buzzing loudly.
Sunset read the entire thing and then said," It looks like the portal's main energy source fell out, and she has to get a new one from the Crystal Empire which takes 2 weeks for delivery,"
"You could stay at my apartment for a while." Nightfall offered. Sunset took it and he lead her to his apartment. "School is tomorrow. You could come if you want. I'm sure Principal Solaris and Vice-Principal Artemis wouldn't mind,"
Sunset pondered on this for a moment then said,"I have nothing else to do, so sure!"
/////15 Minutes later in the afternoon/////
"Here we are, home sweet home," Nightfall said as he laid his backpack near the door.
Sunset, not far behind said,"This looks EXACTLY like my place," Then under her breath she continued,"Considering this is problably an alternate universe.." Nightfall was out of earshot and toured her around the apartment.
"There were bits still in my pocket when I came here. I sold then for money and used it to pay for the apartment," He kept pointing out places, but when he got to the bedroom, he noticed Sunset was tired. "Go sleep in my room. I'll sleep on the couch," She wanted to thank him for his hospitaity, but she was too tired soshe just nodded and went to his bedroom to sleep.
/////The next day/////
"Hey. Wake up. School remeber?" Nightfall said while shaking Sunset out of her sleep. He failed and got a water bottle from the kitchen. "If you don't wake up, i'll pour water on you," When she didn't reply, he poured the water just like he said he would.
"ACK! Cold, cold, cold, cold!" She complained, sputtering water from her mouth. Nightfall did his best not to laugh but utterly failed at doing so. Sure he was reformed but he had to let it out. She kept muttering something about Equestria and not visiting.
"Uh oh. We only have 30 minutes untill school starts!" He exclaimed. And the pair rushed of to get ready for school.
/////At school(You're problably getting tired of this right?)/////
Nightfall and Sunset sood at the entrace of the principal's office. The entered to find Vice-Principal Artemis doing paperwork.
"Hello Nightfall and Miss?" Artemis asked.
"Sunset. Sunset Shimmer," She replied.
"Ah okay. My brother, Solaris is sick, so I have taken over for now. What brings you here?" They explained the current situation to him and he seemed unfazed. "Considering the magical mishaps we've had since the Fall Formal, I am not surprised. You can go here until you leave for home. We don't want you to miss out on the proper education. Nightfall here will be in the same classess as you, so he can help when you need it," Artemis explained. The duo thanked his and set for the classes.
/////Cafeteria/////
"Time for introductions," Nightfall said as he opened the door to the cafeteria. They sat at the table where the Male 6 were waiting. "Guys, meet Sunset Shimmer from-"
Berry Bubble cut him off and continued. "You're from an alternate world and the girls are guys and the guys are girls and you tried to visit the pony world but something went went wrong with the portal and you got here and Nightfall met you and offered to sleep on the couch and it was really, really, romantic!" He ended off with a squee.
While Nightfall and Sunet were hiding their blushes, Sunset said,"Let me guess, you had a hunch?"
Berry gasped and said,"You're right! How'd you know?"
Sunset smirked and replied,"Just a hunch," Menwhile the other guys were amazed at how Sunset Shimmer knew this and how she quoted Berry before the Fall Festival, even though Berry just explained it all.
"Ahem. It's a pleasure to meet you darling. My name is Elusive," He said, resulting in Rainbow Blitz, Dusk Shine, Butterscotch, and Applejack to introduce themselves.
"Excuse meh, but why do ya'll look so similar to Nightfall?" Applejack asked.
"I wrote to my friend, Twilight Sparkle, about my problem. She said I was in an alternate world, and because of that she has to make another portal which will take 2 weeks." It took them a while to know who 'Twilight' is, but then some gears clicked in their brains.
"She's me, as a girl," Dusk finally said, breaking the silence. The bell rang and they left the cafeteria to go outside.
/////After school/////
"I'll see you later Nightfall. Remeber, you have to help at the animal shelter tommorow; you Berry promised," Butterscotch said. "You can come too Sunset, if you want I mean,"
"Why not?" was her reply and Butterscotch smiled. "Great! Bye!" he said as he walked off.
/////The apartment/////
"Today was interesting," Sunset commented as they entered the living room.
"Ditto to that," Nightfall said.
Sunset set down her backpack and was about to ask the most embarassing question in her life; "I-If you want we could..sleep.. together," She said, red as a tomato.
"S-sure. The couch was uncomfortable anyways," Nightfall said blushing madly as well. They laid in bed, falling asleep, not noticing the pink male with curly hair ouside the window.
"I HAVE to send this to Elusive,"Berry grinned, climbing down with his phone in hand.
???
"Ooooaahh ooooaaahhh! You didn't know that you fell! Ooooaahh ooooaaahhh! Now that you've fallen under our spell!"
Cafeteria
"Soo, Berry sent me a picture of..this," Elusive smirked as Nightfall and Sunet gaped at the picture on the screen. "I know what you're thinking darling, and our explanation is that it's Berry,"
"I figured, but how did he get the picture?" Sunset asked, a light blush forming on her cheeks.
"I used the fire ecape!" Berry replied poping between AJ and Elusive. "Wasn't that clever?!"
"No offense, but isn't that a might...creepy?" The farm male asked. "It sounded like you stalked them,"
"Because I did!" Berry replied in a cheerful tone, not noticing the akward looks from his friends.
"Oh my.." Butterscotch whispered in his usual voice. "I wouldn't want anyone doing that to me,"
"Hey guys! Wha'cha lookin' at?" Rainbow Blitz said placing down his 4th, 5th plate of food? (Not even the author knows!)
"This," Applejack grabbed the phone from Elusive and showed Blitz the picture before promtly falling on the floor and laughing.
"Bwaaaahahaha! Oh my god! That's priceless!" Rainbow spat out before trying to stand up. "You guys...hahaha...are...hahaha...CUDDLING!!"
"WHAT?!" Nightfall and Sunset said in unison and looked at the picture again for Blitz to be right.
"I can explain." Sunset said hastily."In the middle of the night, I was thirsty and got up for water. When I looked to the couch, Nightfall was shivering on it. So the next day, I offered to share the bed," she finished. Blitz's laughing fit lessened but still got shot looks from his friends who he ignored.
"Thank you Sunset for caring, unlike someone I know," Nightfall said as he looked at Rainbow Blitz. "Anyways, I have to show some new kids at school. Sunset you can come if you'd like," He finished. Sunset nodded and left to the school entrance.

"I think I hear footsteps. Act normal!"
School Entrance
"Are you the new kids I'm supposed to show around today?" Nightfall asked
The new kids were a trio of males, one with tall blue hair, on with purple hair swept to the sides, and one with wavy orange hair falling down the sides.
"We are. My name's Allario Glare, the blue haird guy is Sontra Sundown, and that guy wiith purple hair is Ario Inferno and we're the Flares," Spoke the boy with orange hair.
"These boys seem so similar, yet I quite can't place my finger on it. I'll have to ask Nighfall later." Sunset thought.
As they toured the school, they passed a poster.
"Oh! We're having a musical showcase! Principal Solaris and Vice-Principal Artemis would let you in!" Nigthfall said as he showed them the poster.
"That's it! They're the male versions of the Dazzlings! Sunset thought. But because they met Human Twi-Dusk first, things might be different..." Her thoughts were inturupted by the Glares.
"We have been known sing time to time," Ario said, pondering if they should join the musical showcase.
"Duh! We sing like all the time! It's how we get peo-people to..uh..tip us at our..jobs..yeah!" Sontra said, a bit nervous. Nervousnes that only Sunset picked upon.
"Oh, if that's the case then you should totally join!" Nightfall exclaimed. "You'd have to be amazing if people tip you at your job! Say, what's your job?"
"It's that one pizzaria with the arcade," Allario spoke. "We even did the night shift once. That was creepy," He shivered, thinking to that one time. "Anyways, I think we're going to sign up. See ya!" He said while motioning to Ario and Sontra to follow.
Principal's Office
"Ahhhhhhhaaaahhh aaahhhhhaaahhhh,"
Cafeteria
"There was something off about them," Sunset said after their previous conversation was over. "I mean look at their clothes! And how Sontra stammered about talking about their job."
"It's problably because of the pizzaria, darling," Elusive commented. "That place is creepy at night,"
"I don't know," Nightfall replied. "Maybe you're right aboout the pizzaria, but their clothes were kind of..sketchy,"
They kept talking about the Flares when the luch bell rang.
Apartment
"Be sure to lock the windows Nightfall," Sunset commented before they slept on the bed.
Cafeteria
Sunset and Nightfall were walking to their table when they heard laughing.
"What's up?" Sunset asked the male 5.
"Oh nothing! Nothing at all!" Berry replied. His smile gave it away though.
"Nightfall," Sunset started. "Did you cover the windows?"
Nightfall had a sheepish look on his face giving her the answer. She facepalmed when the cafeteria doors opened revealing the Flares. They sang a song and somehow, that convinced everyone in the cafeteria to start arguing. And more surprising so were the male 5 except Sunset and Nightfall.
Sunset, knowing what was going on hasitly said," Quick, pretend to argue with me!"
Nightfall, despite not knowing what was happening, trusted Sunset and kept yelling at her about pointless stuff like wardrobe choices and things like that.
The Flares smiled in mischief and had a content look on their faces. Allario said," We are not at full power yet. We wait and be patient. Anyone not arguing, tell me about them, understand?" The other two nodded and left the cafeteria when the bell rang.
Apartment
"I can't belive it," he muttered. "They've corrupted our friends!"
"What I wonder," Sunset commented. "Is why it didn't effect us. It should've, considered that we're all friends." In her mind, she wanted to be more than friends with Nightfall, but was scared about what he might feel. But what she didn't know was that he liked her as well. "Okay, when this happened to me, we tried to make a musical counterspell. So, if what I think's going to happen, happen, then we need a musical counterspell to match the Flares'."
Through the night, they worked on that counterspell and fell asleep on the couch. Sunset woke up parched in the middle of the night. She trudged through the kitchen for a little glass of water when she found Nightfall in the dining room, with a glass of water and had a red notebook open. He had bags uner his eyes and he was half asleep.
"You okay?" Sunset asked. She had a glimpse of his notebookbefore he jerked it away, waking up.
"Huh? Oh, I'm okay. I wanted to work on the spell more." He replied
She raised an eyebrow and he sighed.
"Okay, you got me. I didn't want to dissapoint my friends by not trying to help. Sometimes, I feel useless," He finished.
"You aren't," She reassured him. "Just the fact that we spent the entire night trying to make this musical counterspell proves that,"
"Thanks Sunset. I needed that." He smiled.
They stared at each other for a moment when Sunset spoke up.
"We should...problably go back to sleep now." She blushed.
Cafeteria
"Battle of the bands!" The Flares finished.
"Perfect. The kids have turned on themselves and the Principals' are under our control. All we need is the battle of the bands and then we can unlock our true from!" The Flares' were doing their evil laugh, when Sunset and Nightfall snuck out of the cafeteria.
"What are we going to do?!" Nightfall paicked.
"We're going to keep this up until the finale, since we're not done yet," She said. "We're going to have to work on that spell,"
Apartment
"It's not working!" she cried in frustrarion. She stayed up a bit later than Nightfall, because she couldn't sleep. As she thought more and more the answer dawned on her. "Maybe we need a..different kind of magic..." She continued scribbling on a piece of paper through the rest of the night.
After School
The Male 5 were at the statue/portal arguing. "I don't know why I made this band in the first place!" Blitz yelled.
"I don't know why I joined in the first place!" Applejack screamed.
"Why did I belive you would every play my song?!" Fluttershy countered.
"You guys wouldn't even try on my outfits that took me time and effort!" Elusive whined.
"Why did I even try to make friends with you?!" Dusk shouted.
"I thought this would be fun, but I was wrong!" Berry cried out.
Sunset and Nightfall was walking towards them, but reconsidered after hearing them yell insult after insult and screaming each others heads off. Some were... more damaging... than others. While they walked towards the apartment, Sunset broke down. "Why would they say that?" She cried quietly. "They're friends... right?"
Nightfall had a furious look on his face. "This is all the Flare's fault. Those..." He continued insulting the Flares until they got to the...
Apartment
They continued working on a counterspell, but each working on a secret one. They drove through a six pack of Coke and five bags of chips. Soon after, the food caught up with them, making them sleepy. Once again they shared a bed and slept peacefully.

After explaining what happened, Twilight put her hoof toher chin in thought.

She heard her voice grow fainter as she woke up.
Berry exited out of the fire escape and went back home to Sugarcube Corner pondering on what to do with the pictures. He'd send them all to his friends first, of course. But what would he do with them after he was done with them? Hang it up in school for everyone to see? Nah, that would've been too disasterous. Send one copy to everyone at the school? No, that would be just filling the gun with gunpowder. Then, it hit him. Literally.
"OW!" He yelled. He then saw a framed picture with a crack. He grinned. "This is gonna be fun!" He smirked.
The Next Day
"What's for breakf-" Sunset paused. She looked at Nightfall's living room. It was different than yesterday, when she first saw this. She then noticed a picture hanging on the wall behind the couch.
"We're having-Sunset? You okay?" Nightfall questioned. He saw her eye twitch and ran behind his counter.
"BUBBLE BERRY!!! GET HERE THIS INSATANT!!" she yelled. Or more like screamed.
"Yes?" A pink blur appeared in front of an enraged Sunset.
She pointed at the picture Berry took the night before. "WHAT IS THAT?!"
"Oh that." he giggled. "That's one of my pictures for my shipping shrine!"
She stared at him with a blank face. "What?"
"My shipping shrine!" He repeated.
"..." She stood there, silent. "Berry, you have three seconds before I kill you."
Berry started to scream, while Sunset Shimmer was chasing him. Nightfall looked at the exploded living room.
"This is why, when I started to be friends with Berry, I have insurance."
