//-------------------------------------------------------// True Heaven? -by Gyro Steambass- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// True Heaven //-------------------------------------------------------// True Heaven It's a beautifull day outside. Sun is shining, flowers are blooming, birds are singing and there isn't a cloud to be seen for miles. The perfect day to go flying. To show of in front of your friends and fans. To show them how good you are. Rainbow Dash is a good pony. She is loyal, sometimes to a fault. She's competitive, and loves to challenge herself. Rainbow Dash is a pegasus. She loves flying. It's one of her most favorite things in the world. There's nothing better than the feeling of the wind through your mane, soaring through the sky, flapping your wings with all your might, smashing through the clouds, seeing the landscape pass by, the taste of copper on your tongue, feeling the blood drip down your head. True heaven. If you asked Rainbow Dash what she likes to do while flying, she'll tell you, no, she'll show you her tricks. Loops, barrel rolls, you name it, she'll do it. Doesn't matter if she can. It's so much fun doing tricks. The rush you get from the danger, laughing at death himself, the feeling of ecstacy you get when you finally nail a particularly difficult trick, that lovely pain you feel when you mess up, your bones breaking and shattering under the force of the crash. True heaven. "Rainbow Dash?" The adoration of her fans when they see her do her tricks is nothing to sneeze at either. She loves it when they cheer her on, to do it one more time. "Rainbow? Can you hear me?" Encore! Encore! What a lovely word. It's what fans shout when they want to see it one more time. And how can you say no? The joy you get from pleasing your fans, to see how much they appreciate you and what you do, how they make you feel like you're important, how they scream when you mess up, seeing your mangled body all torn up. "P-please wake up Rainbow Dash. I need you..." True heaven. And who could forget about her friends? They're all such great friends. Twilight, so studious and smart, so orderly and caring, so distraught. Rarity, so worried about her looks but much more worried about her friends, so generous, so slow. "Please don't do this to us." Applejack, so honest to everpony, so passionate about her farm and her family, so busy. Pinkamena Diane Pie, so cheerful and eager to cheer up her friends, so energetic, so clumsy. Fluttershy, one of her oldest friends, so shy yet so quick to show kindness, so nice, so weak. Spike, she probably knew him the least, but she cared about him nonetheless. So supportive, so young, so confused. "Please! Dashie! You've gotta stay! You never give up!" Rainbow Dash never gives up. She allways keeps going. Not just because she's loyal. Not just because she wants to. It's also because she has friends counting on her. It's also because the pain of failure hurts so good. True Heaven. "Y-you never give up, right?" Right? She never gives up. She always gives it the full hundred percent. She always goes till she can't go no more. Because she loves the burn in her muscles. The pain in your wings. The dryness of your throat. The ache in your legs. The blood flowing from your wounds. "Please, sugarcube. Ya gotta stay with us. Yer not gonna let us down now, ya hear?!" True. Heaven. "Y-ya hear? Ah won't let ya." You know what's fun? Competing. Especially during official competitions. She can truly give it her all during those events, not having to hold back for your friends so they can have a chance of winning. Not here. But the competition won't hold back either, and sometimes they're really tough, sometimes nearly beating you, breaking your spirit, grinding your joy to bits, tearing all the fun away from the competition. But Rainbow Dash doesn't lose. Rainbow Dash doesn't share first place. Rainbow Dash owns the first place. It's hers, and nopony else is allowed to have it when she's part of the competition. She'll do whatever it takes to win without cheating. Even if it means she sometimes gets hurt. Especially if she gets hurt. When you force yourself over the edge, when you feel your muscles screaming at you in despair, when you hear your friends yell at you to stop, when you mess up and everything goes horribly, terrifyingly, lovingly, impossibly wrong. Yes. True... Heaven... "I'm so sorry, my dear! I-I'm so sorry! I should have been faster! I could have been faster! But I wasn't. I didn't..." Rainbow Dash loves ignoring her friends. Espcially when they try to stop her from doing something stupid or something she'll regret. She doesn't like listening. She loves suffering so why would she? "Please stop." Stop? But my dear Rainbow Dash! I'm just stating what I've witnessed! And from what I've seen, you seem to be quite the masochist! And sometimes a bit of a sadist. "No! That's... That's not true!" Then please tell me why you ignored your friends' warnings. Why you ignored the pain in your body. Why this isn't the first time you didn't listen. "But, I... But that's not..." That's not what? What you intended? I'll admit, this time was different. Applejack really needed that money. Such a shame that she lost a friend. Such a shame you enjoy pain so much. How it's your... True heaven. "No..." Masochist or not, it doesn't matter. You are dead because of your reckless behavior and the need to ignore your friends. The end. Now come along, your parents are waiting.
