The Chronicles of Hoops

Ahh, Hearth's Warming. A time for fun, a time for presents. A time for festivity, A time for Caring. All these things ran through Hoops' mind as he trotted on the thick cloud path to school. Then he stopped.  He noticed that he accidentally woke up 1 hour early. Darn day light savings! Anyway then he noticed the Hooves house hold did not have any decorations for Hearths Warming. So He went out of his way and put some decorations in the front. As he stepped back he was amazed. As well as happy. He loved doing good deeds. His best friend, Ditzy Hooves lives there. Ditzy and Hoops are best friends. Ditzy is poor, and Hoops is rich, so Hoops always tries to help their family anyway he can. His dad, Cloud Breaker is a well-known baseball player. While his mom is just a normal pony, that does not make her any less special to him. Her name is Raindrop and  she is the nicest mom in the world. Today, like every other day Hoops waited for Ditzy to come out of her house. He waited, and waited until Ditzy ran out crying. Hoops did not know what had happened, but he knew what to do. Ditzy had stopped once she saw Hoops at her door she ran behind the table on her porch. She was covering her eyes. Everything happened so fast. As usual.

"Don't look at me, I'm a freak." Ditzy cried.

"What do you mean Ditzy? Your no freak." Hoops did not really get this conversation.As you can see. Suddenly Ditzy removed her hooves. Hoops realized why she was crying. Her right eye was, wandering to the corner of her eye.

"I-I, a f-flowe-er pot cracked on m-my head." Ditzy stammered.

"Look Ditzy, I won't think less of you because of some wandering eye. I don't care about that. You are my best friend, and that won't change." Hoops said.

"Promise?" Ditzy asked.

"Promise." Hoops replied. Hoops reached for Ditzy's hoof. She accepted and he helped her up. They walked and talked the whole way to school. Ditzy was scared about the other fillies and colts. You know, about her eye. But Hoops said he would not let that happen. At all costs. Then, after all of that they finally reached school. It was a small building. One room and had a flight course set up outside. Today was the big test. The Cumulative test. The final about everything they had learned. Ditzy wasn't nervous at all. While Hoops, was like a slinky. They sat in their usual spots, Hoops was next to Ditzy, Ditzy next to the window. The teacher took attendance, everything was normal. No one ever cared about Ditzy's eye when she told the class. The teacher makes everyone talk in the beginning of class. When they asked her she said "Reasons." Not good reasons, that's for sure. Then she lead the class outside. It was time for the test, and guess who was first. Thats right, Hoops. Nervously flapping his wings up to the start platform, He waited as his teacher got ready.

Suddenly, 3... Don't fail 2... Just do it! 1... Go! It went by so fast he couldn't even remember. The total time was 14 seconds. Thats a record. Everyone cheered for him, everyone LOVED him. Now for the next pony. This was the most boring part. Waiting. Suddenly they call Ditzy hooves. Oh no Hoops thought. Her eyes, her vision. But it was too late, Ditzy was off. Everything was good until the 4th loop down the line Ditzy hit the pole. With her wing. Luckily a certain colt caught her. Then something happened, she kissed him. Hoops' cheeks turned bright red. But sadly, there are always bullies in school, no matter how hard a school attempts to exterminate them.

"Haha, Hoops got kissed by the failure!" Some pony joked

Then class laughed at him.

"How about you all shut the buck up you blockheads!" screamed Hoops. Then, Ditzy ran off into the cloud forest.

"Detention, All of you!" Ms. RainShiner said. "And Hoops, go get Ditzy  back here! This INSTANT!"

"Am I in detention?" Hoops question.

"No, but only if you come back before night." She strictly commented"

"O-Ok?" Hoops stammered. Like he would be gone for that long. Ditzy could not have gone to far, right? He jumped over the fence around the course and entered the forest. You may think 'wow a cloud forest, soon scary' Well, it's the Cloudsdale version of the Everfree forest. It has monsters. Thousands, maybe even millions. Most not even discovered. One day it just popped up. Then when ponies went exploring, they never came back. They were assumed dead, and it was restricted to go back there. Sadly, Hoops had to. Hoops, scare fully trotted into the forest, but after 40 minutes he was totally lost. Right became left, then left became right.  Hoops sat down next to a tree and cried. Cried it all out, when suddenly, a pony with yellow eyes caught his eye. He decided to follow her. Deeper and deeper intp the the Cloudsdale forest he followed the mare. When suddenly, a portal opened over the sky, an alicorn and a unicorn fighting after they came out of some sort of time portal. Hoops watched in awe. Another portal opened. It was only about 7 feet away from him. The vortex was to strong, and he was sucked into it. The inside of the portal was colorful. It had rainbow colors everywhere. This only lasted for about 20 seconds and then Hoops was dropped right on the pavement. The pavement, of the future. Hoops walked around. Suddenly the unicorn and alicorn came out of the portal. They were fighting, and fighting. With lasers and spells. Eventually they were exhausted.  They turned and looked at some strange 3 foals, and one of them was him.
