The Desert
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe little-used road ran straight as an arrow through the Appleloosan Desert. The air was chill this time of year, and there was some snow on the ground. The vast open expanse, in tandem with the biting wind, created snow dunes on either side of the road. The next city was Appleloosa. They would have to hurry if they were going to make it by nightfall.
The sun was blocked by overcast, but it still provided some diffuse light around them.
The two huddled together for warmth. The snow crunched beneath their hooves. A gust of wind kicked up some snow from the ground. Still they trodded forth.
Eventually, the clouds above broke, and a few beams of light reached the ground, almost blindingly bright. From the red colour, Applejack could tell it was almost dusk.
The two trod ever forward, together, on the never-ending road.
Next ChapterThis land is your land, this land is my land:
From Fillydelphia to Manehattan Island
From the E'erfree Forest to the Southland waters
This land was made for you and me.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway
I saw above me that endless skyway
I saw below me that golden valley
This land was made for you and me.
I roamed and I rambled and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
While all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me.
Well, the sun came shining, and I was strolling
And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling
A voice was chanting, As the fog was lifting,
This land was made for you and me.
This land is your land, this land is my land:
From Fillydelphia to Manehattan Island
From the E'erfree Forest to the Southland waters
This land was made for you and me.
