Arrival
Sometimes I really don't understand life. One minute I'm in my room owning noobs in my favorite video game: Call of Titan, the next I'm in a town that is way too colorful for my taste. But somehow I knew this place looked familiar. My jaw hit the ground as I realized I was in the middle of Ponyville.
I couldn't beleive it but as I turned around I saw her. The most beautiful, smartest, best pony in all of Equestria: Twilight Sparkle. I began to walk over to her but I heard the clop of hooves. My mouth was agape again as I realized I was Nutmeg Music, my pony persona. I resumed my trot over to Twilight as I knew she would know what to do but I was stopped in the street by Pinkie Pie.
"Hi!" I said.
She gasped really loudly and ran away so I shrugged her off and continued on to Twilight.
"Hey" I said.
"Oh,hello" she said back.
I couldn't believe I was really talking to her.
"What can I do for you?"
"I'm just new in town and figured I would introduce myself to the most important pony first."
"Well, thank you."
"Nutmeg Music, your highness."
"Twilight Sparkle. I love your mane cut."
"Oh, thanks." I said blushing.
"Well, I'll see you later, maybe even at the Grand Galloping Gala!"
I couldn't believe it the GGG was coming?! When?!
"Tomorrow silly." she giggled
"Did you just read my thoughts?"
"Yeah, I know enough magic to read other unicorn's thoughts."
"So what am I thinking right now?"
..."owning noobs in Call of Titan?"
"Wow, that's amazing!"
"Well, like I said, see ya!"
She flew off and I was all alone. I decided I was going to the gala so I knew that I needed a really nice. I knew just the pony. I found Rarity's. I walked in and introduced myself.
"What can I do for you?"
"I'm going to the gala and need a nice suit."
"Oh, darling I simply must design you my very best!"
Skeptical I asked "How much?"
"Free of charge of course! A pony as handsome as you is far too important for money anyhow."
So as she was taking my measurements and surveying my "aura" as she called it to design the perfect suit we got to talking and eventually got on the topic of Twilight.
"Oh, you know her?"
"Yeah," I said back, "she's great."
My curious mind couldn't hold back any more.
"Do you know what happened with her and Flash Sentry?"
"Yes, sadly I do. They liked each other for a while but when Flash decided she was all talk and no game, he dated Trixie behind her back.
"Why?" I asked
"He was never the kind of pony to have one mare for a long time. Anyway, when Twilight found out the poor girl was heart broken, she did nothing but sit in her castle and cry for a week."
"I'll make him pay if I ever see him." I said.
"You don't like Twilight, do you?"
"Yeah, a lot actually."
"Oh, darling you simply must tell her!"
"No! At least, not yet. I'm just waiting for a good time."
"Well I can't think of a better time than the gala!"
With that comment she was finished. She said stop back tomorrow to pick up the suit. I thanked her and left not really knowing what to do so I started walking until who would I pass on the road but Fluttershy.
"Hey Fluttershy!"
"Oh, um do I know you?"
"No but Rarity told me all about you. I'm Nutmeg, by the way."
"Oh, well, nice to meet you."
"So are you going to the gala?"
"Oh, I don't know, there will just be so many ponies there."
"Hey, you should go Shy, just be yourself and every pony will like you for it."
"Thank you, I will go but um not by myself."
"That would be a good idea."
"Bye Nutmeg, hope I see you later."
"Bye Shy."
It was getting on to twilight and who would I spot but her, walking across town carrying some sort of package. I watched as the pack slipped from her back.
"NO!" I yelled, lashing out with a bolt of blue magic. I caught the box just before it hit the ground with a levitation spell.
"Wow Nutmeg." Twilight said trotting over. "That was a really long distance levitation spell, I didn't know you had that kind of power."
"Me neither." I said.
"Hey, do you have anywhere to stay for the night?"
"No."
"Well, want to come stay in my castle with me? I need to pay you back for that catch somehow."
"I would love that Twi."
As we walked up to the castle, I looked up and whistled.
"I never realized how big it was."
"Yeah, but I don't like to brag about it."
We walked in and I realized for how big the place was, it only had one bedroom..........and one bed. I told her the floor next to Spike would be just fine but she insisted I slept in bed with her. I pretended to be uncomfortable about this but I really wanted that all along. As we climbed in I rolled over on my side to look at her but she was turned the other way. So, being the lazy pony I was, I closed my eyes to try to go to sleep when.........OMG. I felt something press against my lips and realized it was her own. She broke the kiss and at that moment, I could read all of her thoughts, most of which consisted of OMGOMGOMG I can't believe I just kissed him! But as we lay there, I looked into those big violet eyes and I knew we understood each other. Sharing another kiss, we cuddled up together and fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up the next morning with her in my hooves. I nuzzled the back of her neck and came to a startling realization. As soon as I thought "good morning gorgeous" in my head, she answered my thought in my head and said "hi sweetie". We could communicate telepathically..........wow. We shared a tender kiss and I then remembered tonight was the biggest party ever and things needed to get done. I rolled out of bed and stretched out. I told Twi I would see her later and headed out of the castle in the direction of Rarity's. On the way, I got lost in my thoughts. What would tonight bring? Music? Dancing? I knew I would at least be with the pony I loved.
I was ripped from my thoughts when I got to the boutique. I knocked and went in.
"Rarity?" I called. She wasn't there but looking around there was an amazing suit on a rack. Turning it over, I found a note.

Turning the note over I wrote -Thanks Rarity ;)
I walked out and looked the suit over. It was black with a big collar and the best red tie I had ever seen. All I needed was a white shirt and I was good to go. I looked up and saw an all too familiar cloud, multicolored house. Rainbow Dash. I wondered what she was up to so I used my magic to levitate myself up and knocked on her door. She answered , her rainbow mane a complete mess.
"Hey Dash!"
"Oh, I know you......Nutmeg right?"
"That's right!"
"I saw you with Twilight last night, that was some impressive magic."
"Thanks." I said sheepishly having just been complimented by the most boastful pony in town.
"So, you going to the gala tonight?" I asked.
"Yeah, you?"
"Yeah! Hope to see you there!"
"Me too, now get out of here!"
She slammed the door in my face and I gathered from this that mares don't like being woken up that early.I levitated back down and knew there was still one more pony I had to check in with: Applejack. Walking down the long dirt trail, I arrived at Sweet Apple Acres.
"Hey Applejack!" I called to her.
"Howdy partner, can't say ah seen you around here before."
"I'm Nutmeg and Rarity told me all about you."
"Really? Well, you goin to the gala tonight?
"Yeah, you going with every pony else?"
"You betcha!"
"I still need to go and buy a nice white shirt to fit with my suit tonight."
"Land sakes, I gotta go get ready fer that too!"
"Yeah I have to go, see you in a little while AJ!" I said waving her goodbye. I stopped at the clothes store and bought a nice white shirt on my way back to the castle. I walked in and didn't see Twilight so I went into the big closet to change. I thought I looked pretty spiffy in the mirror, even adding a nice red flower to my shirt pocket for extra charm. I walked out and found Twilight and wuuhhhh was the only sound I could muster.
She was in an all shades of blue star speckled dress complete with a setting sun on the side. The whole outfit came together with her glitter laced shoes and her starry earrings. This masterpiece was no doubt the work of Rarity.
"How do I look?"
"You.........look..........just..........wow.
"Thanks, you don't look half bad yourself. Ready to go?"
"Always with you."
We walked outside only to find a carriage with all of our friends already waiting. Rarity was in a violet dress decorated with jewels of all kinds wherever she could fit them. Atop her head was a mini bejeweled crown. Pinkie had a pink, white, and blue dress that was lined with candy and she had a cute little candy hat. Dash had a flowing rainbow dress with fluff that looked just like clouds and I could hardly tell the difference.Applejack had a red and green dress on that had rope and apple designs sewed into it. She still had her good old hat on but her blond mane and tail were french braided. Fluttershy had a light green and light blue dress that was adjourned with butterflies and flowers. She also had flowers braided through her pink mane. Rarity poked her head out, all the others were busy talking.
"You both look simply smashing."
"Thanks." we both said in unison. We climbed into the carriage and we were off. Towards Canterlot, the Grand Galloping Gala, and the best night of our lives.

When we pulled up to the gala, I saw Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence at the front doors greeting every pony that walked in. Our friends being our friends had their own fantasies to live that night so they all went off on their own. Twilight and I were happy as long we were together. As we walked up to the doors, hoof in hoof, I was super excited. I had never been to a party this big and I was super excited.
We bowed to the princesses and they bowed back but as we walked in I heard Cadence softly singing behind me.
"Some pony's got a colt friend, some pony's got a colt friend."
I rolled my eyes and continued walking. They were playing A True, True Friend and I thought to myself "no way" and forgetting again, Twilight answered my thoughts. "what?" she said in my head. "This is a great song" I said back. "You bet it is." "Well, princess, shall we dance?" "How could I pass up the opportunity to dance with you?" As we made our way to the dance floor, every pony parted ways to make a path for us. She was a princess after all. Just as we got to a good spot and slowly started dancing I heard a voice that came over the speakers that absolutely terrified me. It was Pinkie and she proceeded to shout to the entire castle that I was going to sing Welcome To The Show. I was mortified because I had never liked getting up in front of anyone but at least I knew the song. Sensing my nervousness Twilight reassured me."You'll do great."
I got up on stage and looked out over the massive crowd, gave a loud sigh and sang my heart out like no pony was listening. As the music died, I heard thunderous applause from the clop of hooves on the floor and I sat there basking in the glory. I walked off the stage and was immediately greeted by Twilight. "You did great." she said. We walked back to the dance floor and began slowly dancing again I told Vinyl to put on Love is in Bloom and then she looked into my eyes and I looked in her's and we danced together. "Why did you kiss me last night?" "Because, ever since you talked to me in town square, I couldn't stop thinking about you."
"I love you Twilight Sparkle." I said out loud and she looked at me.
"I love you too Nutmeg."
We pulled each other closer and I looked over her shoulder to see all of our friends vigorously nodding at me. I gave them a confused expression and that's when Pinkie decided to blurt out
"Would you two kiss already!?"
I leaned back to look at Twilight and locked lips with her and in that moment I knew that nothing, be it Tirek, Chrysalis, Discord, or even the most evil thing from the depths of Tartarus, nothing, NOTHING, could come between us. The remainder of the night was uneventful compared to the beginning. As the Gala simmered down, we bade our friends goodbye because Twilight and I had a private carriage back to the castle. We went in, still reeling from the crazy night but too tired to stay on our hooves. We both flopped onto her bed, kissed, and fell asleep. I was officially the happiest pony in Equestria.
