//-------------------------------------------------------// Mistaken Disloyalty -by UTF- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The sunlight shone on Twilight and her bed, causing her to wake up. Slowly opening her eyes, Twilight could feel her marefriend, Rainbow Dash, sleeping right next to her. She is the best thing that ever happened to her. They have been secretly dating for a few weeks now. Although Rainbow have been telling Twilight that they will accept them for who they are, Twilight just kept delaying. The only one besides them who knew was Spike, who was forced to make a pinkie promise to not anypony. Rainbow fidgeted before she woke up as well. "Morning, Rainbow." Twilight said as she kissed her. "Morning." Rainbow said, clearly not in the best of moods. Twilight was puzzled. Rainbow Dash have always said that when Twilight kissed her, all her trouble went away. "What's wrong, Rainbow?" Moving of the bed, Rainbow said "Nothing, I've just been under a lot of stress later." "Alright then. Are you free tomorrow? I got tickets for the Wonderbolts. You don't have anything to do tomorrow, do you?" Twilight asked with the biggest smile one will ever see on her. Once Rainbow processed what Twilight said, she tackled Twilight. "The Wonderbolts?!" She quickly got up from Twilight. "Uh, I mean, I think I got something to do tomorrow. So, I can't go." Twilight's smile quickly faded. "Oh. I see." "Sorry. Hey, I've weather duty later. Hey, I will see you tonight. Bye!" Rainbow said before leaving the castle. "What is wrong with her today?" Twilight asked herself. Since there was no one else in the room, Twilight knew that she won't be getting her answer. Twilight trotted to the castle's kitchen to see Spike sitting on a chair next to a table of breakfast. "Morning, Twilight." Spike said. After looking around, Spike spoke up again. "So, Rainbow isn't eating with you today?" "Morning to you too, Spike. And no, Rainbow isn't. She's got weather duty." Twilight answered. "Huh. But isn't today sunday? She shouldn't have work today, right?" Spike asked. After thinking about it for a moment, Twilight said "Yeah, that's right. But why did she lie to me? Spike, remind me to ask her when she gets here." "Alright." After finishing their breakfast, Spike asked, "Twilight, could you go to Sweet Apple Acres? We're running out of apples." "Alright. Take care of yourself, alright?" "You say it like its the first time I'm alone." After hearing his response, Twilight left the castle and trotted to Sweet Apple Acres. She could fly or teleport there but she just simply didn't felt like doing either. When she got to Sweet Apple Acres, she noticed that Applejack wasn't bucking any trees like she normally does. So, Twilight trotted towards the barn. When she got near to the barn, she heard somepony talking. "Well, we can't keep this from Twilight forever!" The voice was immediately recognized by Twilight as Rainbow Dash. Thoughts flooded Twilight's mind. What was Rainbow doing here? Didn't she say she had weather duty? Did she lie to me? Why? She had no choice but to continue to listen to them. "Ah know but does it to be so soon?" The accent can't be faked. This voice clearly belonged to Applejack. "Well, no matter what happens, Applejack, just know that I will love you forever." That was it. She just heard Rainbow said that she would love Applejack forever when she was dating Twilight. Where was Rainbow's loyalty now? Instead of barging in and question them like most ponies would, she teleported away. She was scared. Once in her castle, she ran into her and slammed her door. She locked the door before she sat on her bed. What was she supposed to do now? Wait for Rainbow to break up with her? There was a knock on the door. "Hey, Twilight, are you okay? I saw you run into your room. Is everything okay?" "Yes, Spike, everything is okay." Twilight lied while crying. She didn't even realized she started crying. "Twilight, are you crying? There is definitely something wrong! Open the door!" Spike started banging the door. "Twilight!" He shouted but there was no response. He continued to bang on the door for a while, each time harder than the last. He eventually stopped. His hands were practically crying for him to stop and he realized that Twilight must have casted a spell of some sort to prevent the door from opened. "Twilight, I don't know what's wrong but don't do anything rash, okay? I'm going to get somepony to help you!" There was still no response. And so, Spike went and looked for help. After Spike left, Twilight laid down on her bed. She was still crying. Before she knew it, she was asleep. The next thing she knew was that her five friends and Spike was in front of her. Rarity was the first to speak up. "Darling, you look simply horrible. What happened?" Getting up, Twilight asked, "How did you five get in? I casted a spell to prevent the door from being opened. The only way in was through the window... Oh..." "Twilight, could you tell us what happened? Um, that is, if you don't mind." "Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie and Spike, could you leave us alone for a while?" "What!? Are you loco in the coco!? We aren't leaving you!" The other three that were requested to leave quickly agreed. "Now, ah'm sure that Twilight wanted you to leave for a good reason. Please, why don't y'all leave us for a moment?" Applejack asked. "Fine." Rarity huffed before leaving. The others soon followed and closed the door, leaving Rainbow Dash, Twilight and Applejack in the room. "Now, Twi, what did you want to talk about with Applejack and me?" Rainbow asked. "I heard you during at the barn. How could you do this to me!? I thought you were supposed to be the element of loyalty!" Twilight yelled. Rainbow and Applejack quickly realized what they thought Twilight was talking about. "Twi, I'm sorry. I should have told told you about her." "No, it wasn't her fault. It was mah fault. I begged her not to tell her." "So, you could just betray your marefriend!?" Twilight lashed out at Rainbow Dash. "Wait, Twi's ya marefriend? Well, this just got a lot more complicated." Applejack said. "Um, yeah. She's just not ready to tell all of you yet." Rainbow explained. "You are cheating on me and you didn't even telling her you're dating me!?" Twilight yelled in anger. "Huh? Me cheating on you with Applejack? What are you talking about?" Rainbow asked in confusion. Applejack was confused as well. "Yeah, what are ya talking about?" "Don't you pretend! I heard that you say that you will love Applejack no matter what happens!" Although they were confused at first, the two soon realize that Twilight was talking about again. "Twi, I think you need to meet somepony." Rainbow trotted towards the door and opened it, causing three ponies and a dragon and fall because they leaned on the door. "So, didn't somepony told you four that eavesdropping was bad?" "I'm sorry! I got curious and... and... I'm very sorry." Fluttershy apologized. "As am I. It was rather unlady-like of me to do that." Rarity said. "Well, I'm not sorry!" Spike started, "what you did to Twilight was despicable!" "Why don't y'all come along as well?" "And why should we!?" "Because y'all want answers." "Fine." Soon they arrived in Sweet Apple Acres. They were all confused. No, scratch that. Confused is a understatement. "So, why are we here?" Rarity asked. "We will soon explain everything. Come on!" Rainbow said. And so they went into the barn and into Applejack's room where they found... another Rainbow Dash lying on Applejack's bed? All of them, save for Rainbow and Applejack gasped. "Changeling!" Twilight instinctively shouted. That woke the other Rainbow Dash. She raised her head and saw the pony that woke her up. "Um, hi?" Twilight lit her horn but was stopped by the real Rainbow Dash. "No, she isn't changeling. Now, why don't you let us explain first?" "This is Rainbow Pool. She came from the mirror pool." "What!? But you knew what happened when I used it!" Pinkie said. "Hey, that isn't a bunch of Rainbow Dashes in town, are there?" Pinkie shook her head. "Now, before anypony interupt me again, let me explain." I think it was a week ago, give or take a day, that I crashed into the Everfree Forrest. When I got up, I saw the rock that cover the mirror pool a few metres away. I had this great plan for making a double rainboom. So I removed the rock and went in. "And into her own reflection she stared, yearning for one whose reflection she shared, and solemnly sweared not to be scared at the prospect of being doubly mared." I chanted. Before I knew it, another me walked out. Well, turns out she wasn't as good of a filer as I am. She was hardly able to keep up with me. So I thought that I would get Twilight to send it back to the mirror pool. However, I realized that Twilight would be very mad at me for using the mirror pond so I didn't. Instead, I went to Applejack and she said could help me. She had extra rooms in the barn. We needed a way to differentiate me and her so we named her Rainbow Pool. Everyday I found myself more stressed and yesterday I told Applejack that we should get Twilight to send her back. However, it was then that I found out that the two fell in love with each other. I told them that I would think about what to do. Then, this morning I decided that Twilight should know, even if she would send her back to the mirror pool. I told Applejack about my decision and I guess Twilight heard what we said next. Pool and I convinced Applejack that we should tell should tell Twilight. We told Pool to stay in the barn and while on the way to the castle, Spike came and told us that something happended to you. All of you know what happened next. Instead of saying anything, Twilight just gave Rainbow the tightest hug she had. "I'm so sorry that I even doubted you, Rainbow." "Need... air..." With that, Twilight released Rainbow, who started breathing heavily. "I'm sorry, are you alright?" Twilight asked. "Yeah, I'm cool." "Oh, that reminds me, we need to throw them a party for them!" Pinkie said, the others agreeing with them. "Sorry, Pinkie but now isn't the time. We still needs to think what to do with Rainbow Pool." Rainbow said. "That's alright. I can throw the party later." "So, what do you all think? Should we send her back to the pool?" Rainbow asked. Instead of answering Rainbow's question, Twilight asked Applejack and Rainbow Pool, "Do you two really loves each other?" She two nods. After considering for a moment, she said, "If you two really loves each other, than it wouldn't be fair for me to separate you, would it?" Applejack and Pool hugged in response while the others cheered. "But..." Twilight started, "Pool, you have to do change your appearance. I don't think I can stand seeing a pony who looks exactly like Rainbow dating Applejack." "Oh, I can help with that!" Rarity volunteered which made Pool sigh. Looks like that trait got carried from Dash to Pool. However, Pool didn't disagree. If it meant that she could be with Applejack, she'd do it. "Woo! Now we can celebrate Twilight and Rainbow AND Applejack and Rainbow Pool!" Pinkie pulled her party cannon from nowhere and fired it, causing the room to be covered with confetti. And thus they had a party. How Pinkie got her party supplies, the others may never know but that isn't important. Right now, it is time to celebrate. "That was one crazy day, huh?" Twilight asked as they reached her castle. "Sure is." Rainbow answered. "Rainbow, I know that you will never but, I still want you to promise me that you will never betray me." Without hesitation, Rainbow said, "I pinkie promise. "
