Do you look at your reflection?
"Path is a faculty of wonderfull vertue, full of most high mysteries, containing the most profound сontemplation of most secret things, together with the nature, power, quality, substance, as also the knowledge of whole nature, and it doth instruct us concerning the differing, and agreement of things amongst themselves, whence it produceth its wonderful effects, by uniting the vertues of things through the application of them one to the other, and to their inferior suitable subjects, joyning and knitting them together thoroughly by the powers, and vertues of the superior bodies. This is the most perfect and chief science, that sacred and sublimer kind of phylosophy, and lastly the most absolute perfection of all most excellent philosophy"

"You shouldn't have gotten on my way."
I did not answer and just stepped aside copying her movement. The huge black grimoire buzzed quitly behind my back pulsing with sickly green glow.
"You don't understand! I sought for it all my life!" She shouted staring at me. "I refused myself everything! I plunged into the books, I lived in the library!"
I kept silent trying not to let her out of sight. But it was difficult, for now, she was at the peak of her form, her body overflowing with magic so it was displacing from the place she stood to places around at few inches sometimes.
"I've been looking for this knowledge everywhere!" She finally stopped but still glaring at me. "In the books, in the scrolls, in the papyri that are in the Royal Archives, even in the stone slabs which lies deep in the dungeons! I've studied among the magicians and the witchers, among the shamans and the sorcerers! Around all the world, I've collected the pieces of the knowledge that has led me here!"
"They say that the power of Path, and verses is so great, that it is believed they are able to subvert almost all nature, as it said that with a magical whispering, swift rivers are turned back, the slow sea is bound, the winds are breathed out with one accord, the Sun is stopt, the Moon is clarified, the Stars are pulled out, the day is kept back, the night is prolonged, and of these things sings Sulfur the Phoenixian."
I did not say a word though, to be honest, it was difficult.
"And now, only you stand between me and my goal!" She stamped with her hoof. The stone trembled beneath her legs and slightly cracked, the purple glow shrouding it, but she did not even notice it. "Why are you doing this? Who are you? I don't want to hurt you!"
I finally allowed myself a faint smile. Her eyes narrowed.
"It's funny you think, huh?.. Well, you chose your fate. I warn you for the last time: go away."
I shook my head.
She tilted her head, and a myriad of glittering sparks enveloped her horn.
And in that moment when the spell had shooted from the tip of her horn but had not yet reached me — the spell designed to wipe me off the face of Equestria, spell absorbed all her strength — Twilight Sparkle realized. Her eyes widened as she open her mouth as if to say something, to stop the rampart tide of magic...
But it was too late.
"The Phantasie, or imaginative power has a ruling power over the passions of the soul, when they follow the sensual apprehension. For this doth of its own power, according to the diversity of the passions, first of all change the proper body with a sensible transmutation, by changing the accidents in the body, and by moving the spirit upward or downward, inward, or outward, and by producing divers qualities in the members. So in joy, the spirits are driven outward, in fear, drawn back, in bashfulness, are moved to the brain. So in joy, the heart is dilated outward, by little and little, in sadness, is constringed by little, and little inward. After the same manner in anger or fear, but suddenly. Again anger, or desire of revenge produced heat, redness, a bitter taste, and a looseness. Fear induced cold, trembling of the heart, speechlessness, and paleness. Sadness causes sweat, and a bluish whiteness. Pity, which is a kind of sadness, doth often ill affect the body of him that takes pity, that it seems to be the body of another man affected. Also it is manifest, that amongst some lovers there is such a strong tie of love, that what the one suffers, the other suffers. Anxiety induced dryness, and blackness."
When a young unicorn comes into the world to step onto the Path, I start to exist at the same time.
When he moves further in his knowledge, I wait for him.
And when he comes here, I meet him.
Should he being armed with the newly-acquired Power and the Knowledge, reache the Book, his Path will be completed. He will reborn. Wings will grow on his back, and starlight will sparkle in his eyes.
A newborn alicorn will rise his head, and the universe itself will tremble.
This has already been many, many times. Until I has been create.
Me, whose cutiemark is a mirror.
"Farewell," I whispered soundlessly.
The whole avalanche of magic that Twilight brought down on me, all her art and her skill and her power — all this filled me to the brim overwhelming and burying so I drowned in a purple glow... but then, after immeasurable time slice it reflected. And it is gone. Gone back to the purple unicorn.
"Forgive me," I said.
Twilight Sparkle melted. She became transpatent like darkened glass, like water, like air... Her eyes held longest of all.
As always.
And I melted with her.
As always.
Sleep well, dear Princesses. Your precious universe was saved again.
I thank you and curse you for it.
Me, the Mirror.
