Tears sparked in the majestic alicorn princess' eyes.
Her wings sagged back, as she hung her head low.
No. She thought to herself. I must stay strong.
Princess Celestia sat down in the Royal Canterlot Gardens, thinking over what she had just heard.
Why?
I raised the sun.
I raised the moon when Luna was gone.
I stopped Nightmare Moon.
But why am I feeling so hated?
Celestia cautiously let a few tears escape her eyes, and roll down her clammy cheek
After everything I did for them... I introduced them to us!
I had the first line in this horrible reality. Celestia then recalled all the things that were said about her.
"Am I really a troll?" She mumbled to herself.
"Am I a tyrant? Am I... A sun-butt?" She continued, wrapping her forelegs around herself.
I need a hug... But nopony will give me one..." She thought to herself.
Suddenly, the air around her grew cool, and misty. Heavy rainclouds appeared above Equestria, as the sun disappeared out of sight. Of course, Celestia knew this was just her magic acting up. It tended to do that after her feelings were cut down emotionally.
Drops of rain started trickling down to the surface beneath.
Knowing this might cover her externally shown emotions, Celestia put her head down, and cried her eyes out.
"I'm useless." She said.
"I'm just another pony!"
"I don't mean anything to them!"
"WHAT DID I DO WRONG?" She wailed into the air, hoping someone would hear. But nopony was there to listen.
"I... I... I'm just a lonely pony who is overshadowed cuter by background characters..."
Celestia slowly lifted herself off the grass, and stared at her cutie mark.
"What a lie." She mumbled.
"Mother always told me I would grow up to be loved, and cherished by all, having a cutie mark like this." She started. She then looked up into the dark clouds.
"You were wrong." She said angrily.
"WHAT ELSE DID YOU LIE ABOUT?" She yelled with much force into the air. She gasped, and landed on her flank again.
"I... I... What am I?" She cried. Her mane lost its sparkle, and became straight, and fragile.
"I thought my subjects adored me... I saved them so many times... But these... CREATURES... Don't like me! After everything I've done for their favorite characters? I mean... Who is Derpy Hooves anyway?"
"And to think... Those humans like... LUNA! They like LUNA more than ME!"
"WHY? SHE TURNED EVIL! I DIDN'T!" Celestia screamed.
"It isn't MY fault I have perfect timing!"
"Why should I even care what they think?"
"All they'll do is hate me more!"
"I need some love!"
"Barely anyone loves me from that stupid fandom!"
"And the humans who do... Well they probably don't have a good reason to."
Celestia's coat started darkening, and her mane started to be become black.
"But they're right." She said quietly, letting a fresh batch of tears run down her cheek.
If anypony had looked upon Celestia at that moment, they would have been so shocked.
They definitely wouldn't be able to believe what their innocent eyes were placing upon them. Their brains wouldn't be able to process this new jar of information. It would come tumbling down on them, not expecting it one bit.
When anyone first saw the majestic alicorn princess, they wouldn't think she wasn't even capable of tears! How could somepony so... Perfect... Be so... Alone?
And for a thousand years!
For one thousand years, Princess Celestia was alone.
She didn't have her parents.
She didn't have her sister.
She only had her selfishness to keep her company.
What kind of life is that?
Of course, she expected all those rubbish thoughts to disperse when her little sister was broken away from the nightmare she bore.
But then came the horrible thought.
Would Celestia ever be capable of being so overcome in sadness, she would completely disregard everything. Everything that she ever had. Everything that she ever needed. And give into the darkness?
Was that even possible?
Would it even be darkness?
Was it possible to give into the daylight?
These thoughts hurt the alicorn princess.
What if somepony walked up on her?
What would they think?
Would they ban her from their favorite princess title?
Although lets be honest... That probably belonged to Twilight. Or Cadance.
Or...
Luna.
Celestia shook her head.
She couldn't be thinking these horrible thoughts.
She couldn't be...
Jealous of her own...
Sister?
Why was this happening?
Celestia COULDN'T be jealous of her own sister!
Of course, Luna was a long time ago. She was jealous of her.
The whole world around the princess darkened into complete blackness.
There was a bright light in front of her, and Celestia looked up, just in time to see a tall alicorn step in front of her.
She was as black as night, and had a flowing dark pink mane. She had dark pink armor on, and had small fangs. Celestia's eyes widened.
"Who... Who are you?" She asked cautiously. The dark figure cackled evilly.
"Oh... I'm you! Well, you in the future..." She said in a tone dangerously low. Celestia's eyebrow's raised, as her eyes widened even more than they already had.
"What... What do you mean?" She cried out softly. The dark figure smirked, and held out her hoof.
"Come with me, Celestia. You'll be happier, where I'm about to take you..." She said, furrowing her eyebrows slowly. Celestia gasped, as she realized what was happening.
She turned away, squinting her eyes shut tightly. Should she do it?
A few tears escaped her eyes slowly, before she turned her head back to the dark figure. She hung her head, as she slowly nodded, and got up.
Sadly, Celestia walked up to the figure, and trotted through her slowly.
There was a flash of light, as Celestia's body transformed into the dark pink figure.
The world slowly revolved back into place, as the darker version of Celestia smirked evilly.
"I'm sorry, everypony. But this isn't my fault." She said.
"I just wanted to be loved."
