"Do you really think that you can just ignore this and not take responsibility!?!"

Angry yells emanated from one of the classrooms of Canterlot High School, catching my attention when I just happened to be nearby.

"Your stupid animals attacked me and put several huge tears in my favorite jacket! Do you have any god damned idea how much this thing costs!?!"

'Birds attacked me....wait, what?' I thought.

I got closer to the classroom door and was about to look through the tiny window of the door to find out who was in there, until I heard an extremely quiet voice that I instantly recognized.

"I-I'm sorry, but if you weren't provoking them so much then-"

"I'M SORRY, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?"

"Ummm....nothing."

I sighed in frustration, there was only one person that I knew that had a voice that quiet, and there was only one person that was heartless enough to harass her.

'Well shit, guess I have to do something about this.' I thought. I took a deep breath-and then I threw the door open.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE!!??"I screamed as I suddenly entered the room.

"AAAAHHHH!!!!"

Both Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer, both of which were literally right next to the door, screamed in terror. Sunset took a step back, slipped, and landed on her butt, and after Fluttershy tripped as well, crawled under the nearest desk for protection.

So many things happened at once, I actually found myself just trying to get my brain to comprehend what I just did and what they just did.

After I finally recomposed myself, I looked down at Sunset (who has recovered from the shock and was currently glaring daggers at me), and then I turned my attention to Fluttershy, who was surprisingly recovering from the shock in such a quick time.

Both of them were looking at me, probably expecting me to explain my actions, so I decided to act a little bit dumb.

"Ummm...Sunset, there's no need to sit on the floor, there are some perfectly good chairs near you. And Fluttershy, why are you hiding under the desk? Also, school's over for today, so why are you two still here?"

I smiled when I noticed Sunset's eye twitch a little as she was getting up.

"Wellllll....before YOU decide to humbly grace us with your presence, me and Fluttershy were just having the most pleasant of conversations."

I looked at her in mock surprise. "Wow, your sarcasm has really improved since last time, Sunny. I don't think you can be even more sarcastic, even if you tried!"

For a second, I thought I saw the faint outline of a vein appearing on her forehead, but I probably just imagined it.

I quickly took a seat that faced the both of them. "From the way you described it, you two must have had a REALLY fun conversation, but the conversational topic must've been so interesting and important that you had to wait until after school to talk about it. Now why is that?"

I let the end part of that sentence hang there while Sunset and Fluttershy were just staring at me, Sunset, no doubt, is probably debating in her head on whether or not she should get me involved, given my reputation, and I'm pretty sure Fluttershy is wondering if this is the one where I'm going to actually choose sides. But one things for certain:

I already know what they were talking about, and they know it.

Eventually, Sunset had her arms crossed and groaned in frustration.

"Why should we even bother telling you the whole story if you already got a good grasp of it?"

"Alright, fair point." I said, then I immediately put on my serious face.

"Let me get this straight, Sunset, so you were continuously doing something that provoked Fluttershy's animals, to the point where they attacked, created several large tears in your jacket, and you're pissed at her?"

Sunset then angrily pointed at Fluttershy, who attempted to push herself further into the shadows of the desk.

"I may have been the one who provoked them," She defended herself. "but it's HER fault for failing to control her pets!!"

"Hmmmmm....." I put more thought into Sunset's excuse.

"Fluttershy."

When I said her name, I could've sworn I heard her squeak in terror.

"While it's bad that Sunset decided to put the blame on you for something that she did, she makes a fair point. After all, one of the responsibilities of being a pet owner is to keep their pets from losing control." Fluttershy poked her head from under the desk, looking at me with a confused look, probably because she expected a much more harsher response from me.

"And Sunset?" I got up from the chair and pulled out $150 from my pocket and held it out for her. "Take this, Fluttershy can't pay for the damages, but I can, it should be enough to either fix it or replace the jacket entirely, it's all up to you."

Sunset looked at the money, and then looked back at me with the most skeptical looks I've ever seen in my life, regardless, she took the money anyway. Then she turned her attention back to Fluttershy, who has just exited her desk of protection.

"Hmph. I guess I can let you off the hook. For now." Just from hearing it, I can tell she's putting a lot more venom into her words than usual. "But let me be clear, if your animals attack me again, I'll PERSONALLY make sure you know what all of your animals taste like as food."

Fluttershy's eyes went wide with horror, Sunset smiled. With that said, she immediately turned around and walked right out of the door.

A few seconds of silence passed.....

*clap* "Well! Now that that's over and done with," I said as I started to walk to the door. "I should probably head home now."

But before I could even touch the handle, I felt Fluttershy suddenly grab my arm. Even though I wasn't looking at her, I will bet that she was blushing like crazy.

Practically whispering, she said, "Ummm....thank you for helping me out again Canvas, I appreciate it."

I chuckled. "No problem, Shy." I removed her arm and then I opened the door and held it for her.

"Just don't make it too much of a habit. That's twice you owe me now."

Fluttershy nodded. "Ok." And she was about to exit the room, but then she suddenly stopped.

I raise my eyebrow. "Umm..Fluttershy, what's wrong?"

She blinked a couple of times, but then she shook her head. "Nothing, it's just, I realized you just gave away $150 to Sunset. Are you sure that was such a good idea?"

I shrugged. "Eh. I don't really care. What she does with my money is her own business."

"But," I grinned. "she should already know that there is always a catch to free money."

Later....

"WHY IS THIS MONEY ALL IN $1 BILLS!?!?!?"
