Once again

Lightning Dust's heart pounded out of her chest as she looked over the application again, and making sure everything lined up before handing it in to the receptionist.  "Please wait" the pink and yellow pegasus said as she put the application in a box that seemed to be over flowing with papers and other applications, Lightning trotted back to her seat the sun beating down on her light turquoise coat causing her to sweat. As she sat down she felt very uncomfortably close to other mayors and stallions trying out as she was. The clock ticked Lighting then noticed wonderbolts reserve practicing Ugh I deserve to be up there! she thought to herself as they trained "Ms. please take your seat the reserves training shouldn't be seen by applicants to avoid pre-training"  The receptionist said as she closed the curtains, Lightning sighed stupid Rainbow Dash I thought we were friends until you urh! when she sat doen for awhile Her bones started to ache from the uncomfortable position she was in the sensation felt...familiar.

"its okay lightning the pain will only hurt a little longer" Lightning's mother said in a comforting manner as the bed lightning was on quickly departed from her mother "mama" she tried to yell but the pain was so bad that every move met felt like needles digging into her entire body. Nurses ran to Lightnings side all the movement caused the room to blurr the sounds of crying and screaming blurred together into a loud ringing that echoed in her ears, her eyes were heavy she wanted the pain to go away the florescent lights filled her eyes as they formed a bright light her eyes burned from the bright light being flooded with tears "DON'T LET HER LEAVE ME!" she heard her mother yell as her eyes closed.

Lightning woke up in a hospital room several cords were hooked up to her she heard a heart rate machine "beep beep" she followed along to the beeps her voice was quiet and crackling as if a fire was in her throat. "SHES AWAKE!" a mayors voice yelled as several ponies trotted into the hospital room "oh my precious foal" Lightnings mother cried as she hugged her little filly "mama where am I" Lightning said nervously as she backed out of the hug just as her mother was about to answer a stallion walked in "astonishing I didn't think she would survive!" he said as her looked up and down the clip board that was surrounded in his yellow aura "survive?" lightning asked "what happened" the doctor put down the clipboard "do you not remember the accident"  He said as he went to check her IV. Lightning  though "there was a race...I hit a tree and..." she tried to flutter her wings then she screamed from pain her mother rushed to her side "Lightning!" the doctor yelled "get her pain relief!" the nurse ran over to inject a numbing liquid in Lightning's wing. After a few minutes of screaming the pain killer kicked in and Lightnings wings were numb "Lightning you broke your wings...a lot" the doctor said using his magic to pull up x-rays showing her wings they were broken several parts were shattered and pieces were fractured all around the bone. Lightning teared up at the view "w-will I be able to fly again" Lightning asked wiping her tears "yes!..maybe" The Doctor said looking down at his hooves "with lots of physical therapy you should eventually to be able to hover"

"what about fly?"

Hovering is the most you will be able to do..."

"NO! I WANT TO BE A WONDER BOLT I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO FLY!" Lightning cried " the Doctor sighed "I see you need some time accept this come on" he signaled the nurses to follow him as her left the room.
