Inside there sat a desk, and on that desk next to a pair hooves there was a lantern. In the comforting light from that lantern a bored grey pegasus attempted to amuse herself. With a whip of her head the legendary archaeologist Daring Do swung the ball on it's string aiming for the cup it was attached to, only to strike herself in the eye once more. Eye closed, her utterance was muffled by the handle while she cursed whatever strange creature had designed this tool of self flagellation. Adventurer grade archaeologists were required by the union at every major dig in the event that a small easily portable relic capable of destroying a sizable chunk of the known world was discovered. While this was an event that happened with distressing regularity in Equestria it meant that Daring Do and her kin had little to do on many if not most of their work sites. Her study of the intrinsic mystical properties of the cup and ball discovered on site was going to the extent of her contribution for the summer. Further past the distracted pony and the ancient relic was a trench that had been dug allowing access deeper into the dark and mysterious internals of the mountain. It plunged forward the ceiling first consisting of canvas soon yielding to native rock that would yield in turn to worked stone of unclear origin. The worked stone formed passages of an unexplored structure. The accessible tunnels were only as tall as a pony but as wide as two ponies were long. Exploring them one would find nearly every path leads to a cave-in where the stone had been crushed under the weight of time and some rocks, but mostly time. Each such cave-in was a barrier far beyond the ability of this small expedition of hardy ponies to excavate. But past the dead ends one single path opened up into a great ante chamber. This room was many times taller then a pony and it's length and width where obscured by piles of soft clay that had seeped slowly into the room over the ages with each spring rain for countless years amounting to a torrential flood of the sticky stuff. This material, this was what two strong earth pony archaeological students where moving by the cart full out of the dig. This was the material a studious cream coated mare was digging away from the walls with utmost care and a handy trowel. With sleepless eyes and sweat beading upon her brow intern painstakingly unveiled a piece of the past. She has cataloged and secured plenty of fragments of pottery but in truth that obligation interested her little. Sure it was the bulk of the real archaeological work, but there was something that interested her much much more. The wall that she was so slowly unearthing had marks on it, carved into it. Written in a language she did not recognize comprised mostly of pictures. She saw symbols that she supposed were suns, moons, clouds, mountains, flowers, ponies, dragons and griffons. Scritch scritch went the trowel and wall told her of the things that had happened long before it had been new and Moondancer struggled to understand. Her heart beat faster as she passed a representation of faceless ponies offering up gifts or tribute to well detailed images of dragons. This suggested she was in a dragon ruin, but dragon's didn't build or write, at least not anymore. This contradicted the narrow halls that lead to this location. An even half grown dragon could never hope to navigate those paths. Days passed, the earth ponies moved in and out in constant motion, the work consuming them and their every waking thought. Daring Do had managed to catch the ball in the cup at least twice though no one admitted to believing her and quietly wished she would black her other eye. Exhaustion eventually forced Moondancer to release the trowel from her telekinetic field and grasp it with her mouth. Regardless without rest the unicorn dug on spurned by each promised fragment of secret knowledge that the wall offered her. Moondancer swept away the now drying soil revealing row upon row of detailed images of dragons in every conceivable shape. Two headed dragons, dragons with and without wings, small dragons, big dragons, quadrupedal and bipedal and hexapedal dragons. Variations of dragons that she had never seen before and had never been cataloged by the hardiest or foolhardy of pony researchers. Attached to each different and unique dragon was a line. Supposedly a lineage. Perhaps the dragons of this city where as interested as modern unicorns in proving their pedigree? Perhaps it was an indication that they had undergone some crazed purge of their supposed lessers? Each line led through other symbols, names perhaps? But each line eventually wound it's way to a central point on the wall. Perhaps it was a legendary great mother of dragonkind? A real or theological origin of the species. There Moondancer gasped as the clay fell away, for she recognized exactly what she was seeing. She remember months before. That one mare the one who was her only true peer at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns who had been the closest thing she had to a friend. The one who had proved to her that she had no such thing as friends at all when she left. Always trailing behind her had been a dragon. A curious small dragon pudgy and unassuming, not like one would imagine a dragon at all. It followed that mare everywhere with pen and paper in hand ready to take dictation or lists of chores yet to accomplish. Spike was it's, his name, she remembered at last. She had talked to him on several occasions and he had proven to be both polite and helpful as best as she could recall. It was that personal knowledge that allowed to confidently identify the rendered drawing at the center the diagram as that of a dragon hatchling.
Chapter 1View OnlineThe Rise of Demon King SpikeChapter 1Prone upon her back Rarity rolled in sheer luxurious pleasure as she was skillfully serviced. She cooed and stretched seductively in appreciation of her benefactor. Her tail flicked teasingly, and her half lidded eyes lost all focus as she concentrated on the sensations rioting across her elegant and refined equine body. It hadn't been easy. Her partner had been a complete novice when she began working with him, he hadn't known the first thing about pleasuring a lady such as her. It had taken weeks of careful instruction, proper incentives and gentle reprimands to finally bring him into the proper shape. The clumsy touches and rough strokes of his earliest efforts had been suffered through. But now, now he was exactly what she desired. Spike set down the file, his claw tenderly pressing against her delicate frog and gave her now perfectly sculpted hoof a chaste but devoted kiss. Wordlessly as he had been taught he moved onto the next hoof and Rarity resumed her nearly indecent writhing. Spike always told his guardian Twilight that he was just going over to Rarity's to help out in her workshop and indeed he used to and in that time he had learned more then a little about sewing and cloth. But the year was driving into a very warm summer and fewer and fewer ponies came to Rarity searching for clothing it was simply to uncomfortable to wear. Without anything else to distract them Spike's training as a luxury farrier and cabana boy had begun. Rarity firmly understood that this was for the benefit of the young drake. Surely with the training he had received he could find employment with Aloe and Lotus the spa ponies. Maybe someday Twilight would find need for his services? She was simply doing her duty in helping the subservient dragon round out his already prominent skill set. Despite telling herself this and definitely believing it she would never allow him to touch another mare this way. He was hers after all. “Rarity?” Spike politely asked to speak. “Yes, darling?” Rarity magnanimously granted his request. “I think you are beautiful,” Spike began as he searching for the path to the words he wanted to say. “Well, how could you not?” she replied jokingly seeing the direction this was going and applying a hint of pressure. “I assume you have eyes?” “I do, Rarity,” Spike rallied and tried to push forward to his goal. “Indeed I think you are the most beautiful unicorn in the world.” “Oh you flatter me surely,” she gave a soft laugh. “But what of Celestia, surely she even more beautiful still?” Spike floundered for a moment. Celestia was the pinnacle of equine beauty and attempting to suggest that another mare was more beautiful then her was terrifyingly close to uttering treason and sedition. Here in the privacy of the home of the mare he adored Spike dared to commit a minor crime that was worth a day in jail or a 10 bit fine if over heard by a member of the Guard. “No, you are the most beautiful pony...” Rarity opened her eyes in alarm. “...in all of Equestria...” She sat up and looked at Spike in surprise her gaze flickering across the room for just a second in search of a Guardpony hiding in her wardrobe. “...Because out of all the ponies in Equestria it is you...” Rarity was briefly stunned at how badly things had began to tumble out of control. “...and only you that I lo-” A perfect white hoof pressed against his lips silencing him with her elegance. “Stop, you don't have to say it,” she said it with a smile and such kind and warm eyes the he nearly believed her. This was important though, he was sure of it. He had to tell her how he felt and push forward into the world he dreamed of. Spike felt a wave of dizziness as he stepped away from the safe and secure world as it was and began to make forge his own path ahead. “I love you, Rarity,” he said it quickly before she could stop him. The room grew colder. “Spike,” she sounded sad, kinda disappointed. “You have to understand-” “I know, I know, I'm a dragon and you're a pony, we're too different-” “No, it isn't that...” Rarity got up onto her hooves. Her tone and demeanor where deeply apologetic like a doctor telling the family of the coming death of a loved one. “It's no different then Galigor and Tulip Blossom,” he referred to the common story of forbidden love between a griffon and a pony that had saturated much of pony society to the point of play and comic book adaptations. “No! No Spike, that isn't the problem at all...” this was hard on her, harder then she would have thought. “Then what?” Rarity steeled herself. “I'm older then you.” “Five years, that isn't much at all. The Cup Cake is eight years younger then Carrot and they are perfectly happy.” “Please, Spike,” the first cut hadn't had enough force behind it. It hadn't even broken the skin. “I understand if you don't feel the same way, but it would make me very happy if we could trying going out. Just give me a chance, I'm sure I can win you over...” “I'm sure that you could in time,” she replied as a tear threatened to well up in her eye, she couldn't deny her fondness for the dragon or his pleasant and enjoyable demeanor. But she couldn't show weakness right now. “Please Rarity, just give me a chance, just one. That is all that I ask.” “Spike, you are very dear to me, and I don't mind that you are a dragon. But...” She had no choice, she was going to have to hurt him. She readied her figurative blade forged of terrible words. It was going to have to be clean cut. Surgical. For his own good. “...You are a baby dragon. You are just a child.” Spike turned around and walked out of the boutique of the mare he loved.
Chapter 2View OnlineThe Rise of Demon King SpikeChapter 2When Spike arrived home there was a delivery of new arrivals for the library. He was tempted to ignore them and go straight to his basket where he could hide under the covers and weep. But there were books and they needed to be put away. And if he didn't do it now, Twilight would just interrupt him and then he would have to explain what had happened. How he had been so stupid as to forget that he was just a... With a claw he ripped open the tape holding the box closed. At the top was a brand new copy of Daring Do and the Mystery of the Cup and Ball. He pondered if this heralded the spiraling decline of the venerable Daring Do series as the author ran out of ideas. He delivered the ill-omened book the young adult section and put it at the end of the row of Daring Do books. The next few books where replacements for reference books that had grown to aged and decrepit to be read without falling apart. After replacing them he delivered the elderly books to the burn pile down in the basement. The last book was Dragon Morphology by Moondancer. The second book on the topic of dragons to find it's way into the Ponyville public library. The only previous such book was Beware the Dragon! a slim volume that described how to avoid confrontations with dragons while traveling in the badlands. Spike also recognized the name the author. Surely it couldn't be the same pony that he and Twilight had met in school? It would be weird if that Moondancer had managed to publish a book before Twilight. Instead of putting the book away, Spike carried it to a nearby table and opened it up to a random page. He didn't feel like indulging his misery just yet. He just felt empty and wanted to fill it with something. ...indicates that dragons do not grow or age with the passage of time but rather with various actions. The exact connection between the types actions and the form that they eventually grow into is not yet clear... Spike remembered standing above the tiny houses of Ponyville. So consumed by his own greed that he could barely think. He remembered how the world had shook with his roar. When he was an adult. He flipped through the pages and stopped at a familiar picture of a massive quadrupedal wingless dragon with a long snaking tail. ...best guess I can translate the given name of this type of dragon as the Low Dragon, it is associated with hoards of rocks, supposedly large hoards of relatively low value items. The name it's self suggesting that this kind of dragon is not held in high esteem among other dragons... Spike gave a tired sigh as he was once more rejected today. This time by his own species. Again. Pages flipped as he skimmed quickly through the book. ...high dragon, largest and most highly regarded of dragons hoards only the most valuable of items in contrast to the low dragon... Spike pondered briefly if his allowance would ever amount to that much. But then he didn't want to be too large to live in Ponyville. ...the duplicitous dragon, a two headed dragon that hoards secrets... Spike gave a frown, who would want a second head? ...the beautiful dragon, a dragon of a modest size, only twice as tall as a pony and with impressive plumage, set aside from dragon society this before unknown type of dragon is... Spike studied the accompanied rough image. It was a dragon to be sure, it's lines were sleek and smooth. It had wings, moved about comfortably on it's hind legs and could grasp things in it's foreclaws. The beautiful dragon... Spike felt a curious longing as he looked at the creature depicted there. A firm understanding that if he could attain that glorious and adult body then Rarity would certainly not be able to deny him. Indeed she would swoon at the sight of him and he would carry her off up into the clouds and they share sweet whispers together and she would admire his strength and immense maturity. ...this before unknown type of dragon is defined as a personification of a specific subtype of greed, the greed for mates. Copulation with an excessively wide variety of mates is required for this transformation to be achieved. Spike crinkled his brow in confusion. The sentence made sense but the meaning of some of the words were lost on him. He fetched a copy of The Horse Dictionary and laid it out next to Dragon Morphology. “Under C for copulation,” Spike searched through the small print for the entry. “The act of sex.” His frustration slowly grew. He recognized the word but it didn't mean anything to him. “Under S for sex... 'Sexual education courses are available at all publicly funded schools in Equestria.'” Spike took a deep calming breath. He put the books away each in their own proper place. He had found out what he needed to do in order to win Rarity's heart. It was okay. Breath in, breath out. He had a plan and that meant everything was going to work out just fine. Yes, everything was fine and certainly wouldn't spiral further out of control. The book said that all he had to do was to 'copulate' with a lot of 'mates.' He certainly knew what 'mates' were, mate was a word for a close friend, a friendly kind of friend as best as he could recall. The one tiny hitch in the plan was that he still had no idea as to what 'copulation' or 'sex' was. But he knew just where to ask. If you found out about sex from sexual education courses at school, then all he had to do was ask a school teacher. Spike wrote a quick note for Twilight and left the house. It was a Saturday afternoon and he had Cheerilee's home address.

Her hips swayed gently and her tail whipped side to side in response to the half remembered song from her youth. If there was one skill she didn't get much opportunity use in her adult life that she missed, it was dancing. She used to be an ecstatic beast of the dance floor. It had been a crazy time in her life. Somehow inbetween classes and studying for her bachelors in literature and her teachers license she had still managed to spend six hours a weekend under the disco ball. Every month there had been a new stallion to keep her company. The time between them often measured in mere hours. It had been a time of plenty. It had seemed like it would never end. Ponyville was a very different place then Canterlot. Ponyville offered her her very own dream job and it was very satisfying helping her students, but sometimes she did miss the fun and excitement. With a shake of her hips she resolved to savor the memories as much as she had enjoyed the experiences. A knock came from her front door. Toweling the soap suds off of her hooves Cheerilee made her way to the front door. Maybe it was Twilight? The well studied unicorn has been a fairly regular visitor though almost always on a professional level. “Hi,” greeted the small purple dragon on her doorstep. “Hello Spike,” the earth pony peered past him looking for the expected Twilight that was always at his side. “How are you?” “I've been good. How have you been?” “Also good.” “I... am glad to hear that.” The two stood there awkwardly for a moment. “I need to know about sex.” “Oh.” Cheerilee startled a little and this time glanced around desperately to make sure no one in the street was close enough to over hear. “You teach sex-ed?” “Yes, yes I do.” She had a far away look in here eye as she struggled to come to grips with the nature of the conversation she was having. “Can you teach me?” “Do you have a permission slip?” The question was automatic. “No...” Spike hadn't thought that he might need paperwork. Which was odd because his life was mostly paperwork. “Do I need one?” “I can't teach sex-ed to a minor without permission from a parent or legal guardian.” “I'm not legally a minor.” “Oh, I'm sorry.” “Can you teach me then?” “Twilight really hasn't talked to you about this?” “No, I don't think that she has.” Cheerilee frowned in thought for a time. Did she have time? Did she want to teach a crash course on a day off? Did she want to take time off from cleaning the kitchen. Oh, right. “Spike, if you want to clean my kitchen I can give you a crash course.” “Yes, of course, thank you very much!” “Then please, come in.” Moments later Spike was at the sink washing dishes and Cheerilee was seated at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in her hoof. “So what exactly do you want to know about sex?” “What is sex, for starters?” “Sex is the biological act by which a male and female come together to create an offspring, and become parents.” “Huh,” Spike hadn't quite expected it to be something as staggeringly intimidating as that. “Is the whole becoming parents a really important part of it?” “Yes and no, it's certainly one of the most important things that can lead from sex, sex that doesn't result in conception is still sex. Her safe place being a classroom filled with attentive young ponies and a chalk board behind her. “Now males and females have different but corresponding parts, and these different parts are the male's penis and the female's vulva. They are often referred to by different words or nicknames, but those are their proper names. Sex, the standard, regular act, is started with the insertion of the penis into the vulva. She caught herself. “This is actually a very lovely flower.” “No, no it's just... garden waste” she explained suddenly shifting from terrified to guilty. “But the shape is perfect and exquisite,” he reached down and picked it up. “It would be a shame to waste it.” Of course the shape was perfect! It was one of her flowers! Any fool could look at it and see that it was one of Daisy's flowers. Any fool could see that the colour was mixed up! It was a filthy obscene flower and she had grown it with her own hooves. “Since you're throwing it out I think I will take it.” Daisy galloped up to the dragon her eyes wide with alarm and terror. “You, um ah, you don't want that flower! How about I get you a different flower? Yes that's it! Just let me take that one...” Daisy reached down desperate to snatch the filthy flower from the dragon's greedy grasp but she couldn't bring herself to get close enough to him. Her hooves pranced in place as she attempted to run forwards and backwards at the some time. “But I like this one.” Daisy briefly thought about the dragon leaving with the flower. She thought about how everypony in Ponyville would see that awful daisy. They would all know that it was her fault. They would all laugh at her. No pony would buy her flowers and she would be out of a job. She'd have to get some kind of ridiculous and terrible job like selling frying pans. And she couldn't muster the nerve to just take the flower from the sharp pony shredding claws of the dragon. Oh, she had a chance. There was something else that she could do. “Ah. Mister, mister dragon, sir...” “It's Spike.” “Spike, sir, you wanted to come inside?” “Yes, that is exactly what I wanted to do.” He gave a wink but Daisy was far to distracted with ushering the dragon into her home to notice. With the young dragon seated in her living room struggled to get her nerves under control as prepared the tea. She would open negotiations by asking for something she didn't want and in turn so would the dragon. But in the interplay they would ask for the things that they did want without letting the other party know what it was that they infact desired. The dragon being a dragon would desire jewels, just as Daisy desired the flower. But instead they would ask for things that would flatter the other. Dragons were greedy, proud and vain of course. The water reached a slow simmer. Daisy fetched a box containing a broach affixed with an emerald the size of her hoof that she had traded for a dozen flowers. She felt certain this trinket would be enough to retrieve the flower. She poured the now boiling water into the kettle with the tea. With a sly smile she made her decision as to what she would pretend it was that she desired. The tea was poured and the pot was set upon the table. Daisy took the seat opposite of the dragon as she prepared for the battle. The dragon, Spike, she reminded herself, fidgeted before taking his first sip of tea. Spotting the weakness, Daisy took the offensive. “I must say, now that I see you better, that you are a most handsome dragon indeed,” she flattered. “Oh!” he blushed in surprise. “Why thank you Daisy, I must say that you are also a very pretty pony.” Daisy weighed his response as she took a sip of tea. Was that him just being polite? Still she had to win the flattery before she could begin properly. “Your scales are so smooth and your spines, they are just so sophisticated,” Daisy randomly applied flattery to his various features in place of more appropriate words like glistening, menacing and horrifying. “I have always liked the cut of your mane and it looks so soft. Do you get it professionally done?” Daisy faltered as a blush tried to creep up her neck. “N-no I do it myself,” she stammered briefly. She averted her eyes while she attempted to find another angle of attack, not yet willingly to call it a draw. “Your garden is very neatly ordered and I don't think many ponies at all have ones nearly as varied as yours is,” the dragon lunged forward crushing her hopes of an early lead. Daisy quickly tried to figure out what Spike did for a living and how to flatter him for that in turn if only to keep pace with him. “Those carnations, I haven't seen any quite like that before. Are they your work?” The mare's jaw dropped. “Striped carnations have to be hybridized and I mostly see white and purple ones. Well those are the ones that Twilight always gets.” Daisy had just wanted to express herself. She had just wanted to say something. She had never wanted to be heard. “She sends daffodils and gets those carnations. It's a crazy world don't you think?” Rose and Lily poked fun at her for her garden. But that was okay because they where her friends. It wasn't like anypony else really knew what it meant. The blush filled her cheeks, she had to change the subject and quickly. “Those hedges you have, they're oleander aren't they?” “A kiss!” Daisy suddenly shouted. This had been her plan. “I would like a kiss from such a handsome dragon as yourself!” Yes, just ask the pony eating monster for a kiss which it would refuse because of the species difference, but he would be flattered none the less and it would make the negotiations go smoother. See, it was a perfectly reasonable plan! There was no reason to panic! Her eyes were wide with alarm as the dragon got up and approached her. Her muscled were locked in terrified paralysis as the flesh rending talons gently gripped her neck. Her mouth yielded in absolute submission to his scaly lips and her mind was too shocked to even respond to the narrow and agile tongue as it plunged and explored the cavity of her mouth. No plan survives contact with the enemy. The force of the kiss pushed her back, her unresponsive body was tilted until she fell backwards onto the floor and the much lighter dragon was pulled along with her. Flat upon her back and under this scaled horror she awaited the first pinch of fangs against her delicate pony flesh followed by her looming devourment. “You wanna have sex?” asked the only slightly flustered dragon. As though he regularly went into ponies homes for this purpose. Daisy first noticed the member poking into her belly and then her own sopping nethers. She didn't believe it. Was he really going to play with his food like that before eating? Her sex winked hungrily as that thought ran through her mind. She decided not to dwell overly on that. “'Kay,” she responded quietly. Spike took hold of each of her hind legs as he moved to line up with her. Wait. What had she said? She had said a word back there and now this was happening! She gasped as the weirdly shaped dragon wang plunged into her mare cunt. She couldn't have agreed to this! Her muff drooled on appreciation as the pony eating beast ravaged her innocence. Daisy was a good mare. She didn't have sex with monsters. She knew that. It was a fact of life. A lustful whinny echoed out from her gasping mouth as the mighty creature rubbed its' twisted phallus against the inside of her innocence. That is why Daisy grew the carnations. Small and helpless the mare squirmed belong the hideous thing made her its' own. Her now wantonly wet snatch rejoiced in it's defection. The solid white petals with the bloody edges to express her rejection. She had handed them out so freely. Innocence? Purity? What did those words mean to her now? She was submitted herself as the terrific dragon's whore as it plunged into her over and over again. She really hadn't wanted to reject all of them had she? She had never wanted to be left alone. Her womb shuddered violently in response to the torrents of hot semen that flooded her sex. She shouted some kind of obscenity and her face relaxed into a massive grin that hurt her cheek muscles. With her eyes closed Daisy gasped for breath as she tried to come to grips with her sudden emptiness as the beast had abandoned her. When she opened her eyes she saw something curious. A harmless little dragon, almost kind of cute who was cleaning up her tea set in a most helpful and beneficial manner. She wondered where the monster had gone before closing her eyes and drifting off into a nap. It wouldn't be until much later that she would remember about the flower.
