The Glorious Rule of A Buttfaced Giant
One
Load Full StoryI sighed as I waited at the gates to Canterlot Castle, although as usual it sounded more like an unearthly groan. I could sense the Princesses large souls from here, and they were steadily getting closer. Along with them seemed to be one of the Elder Siblings, Suicune, which made me happy, if only a little. Sadly, I only came here because I had some bad news to relay to the Princesses. But maybe Suicune could help, he is, after all, one of the most powerful of the Displaced on this planet. What was this news, you ask? Well, one of my subject's seeds, our children, had been stolen. Now, a Giant's seed, which is a literal seed, not a sperm kind of seed, is sacred to them.
Now, we don't have genders or anything like that, but we do reproduce. Sadly, it's only a small few who do. Namely, Elite Giants. It's not that we play favorites, that's just how it is. Thankfully, every Giant eventually becomes an Elite Giant. But, it takes several thousand years. Anyway, the point is, Giant Seeds are sacred, and even the smallest crime against even a single one of us usually rustles my people's feathers so much that they immediately call for the thieves head or worse, go on a genocidal rampage. I've managed to keep them out of war for millenium, but there have been times where my mind lost to my Giant instincts.
Anyway, someone stole one of our seeds, and of course my people have gone into an uproar about it. I'm actually rather nervous, as this is the first time I've gone to another nation for help. Usually I've had to go out and take back what was stolen or whatever. As such, there are very few records of any wars with my people. Even less considering we have a whole quarter of the world to ourselves up in the Frozen North. Sadly, most races also don't know because of it as well, always thinking we were monsters, mindless beasts.
Thankfully, the guards didn't try to attack or arrest me when they saw me, probably on account of my crown. The two at the gate were shuffling their hooves nervously and glancing at me fearfully every now and then. Perhaps I shouldn't have brought my sword. Oh well. I turned around as I felt the three large souls finally within sight of me. The Princesses gasped, and Luna looked ready to fight, but Suicune was smiling widely as he approached.
