The air was filled with cheers of joy all around Equestria as the fifty year war with the griffons and zebras came to a peaceful end today. But unlike everypony else i felt sad at this news like it shouldn't have ended like this, I suddenly hear a commotion in the streets as thousands of ponies went from cheering to screaming as a siren began to wail i turn to my left to see Princess Celestia her mouth was moving but i didn't hear no noise the i noticed her pointing her hoof at me and I was struck from behind.

"HEY! " Said a high pitch feminine voice."WAKE UP! I NEED YOUR HELP!"
My eyes shot open, my vision was blurry at first but it cleared up pretty fast and saw a hot pink orb with wings."uhh, where am I?" I groaned as i sat up and did a quick scan of my surroundings the entire room was made of steel and it looked like a prison cell it had a small mirror with a sink. getting out of bed i walked over to the mirror and took in my appearance i was an average sized white furred mare with purple eyes and a short messy black mane. then I heard the voice again.
"You are currently inside of Canterlot's Stable Zero located inside of the canterlot caves," the Voice explained, looking around to see nopony else inside of the room except the hot pink ball with wings.
"Uhh hello? Is somepony in here?" I asked with a shaky voice, I was getting a little bit scared, what if i was inside some sort of factory where they kill ponies and turn them into rainbows or i could be in some lunatics basement who is gonna dissect and eat me.
"Sorry I forgot to introduce myself I am Special Particle Adaption Reactor Core, or simply S.P.A.R.C, also I am the glowing pink parasprite you keep looking at," S.P.A.R.C said as she moved in front of my face. "Now that's out of the way I need your help."
"Wait are you telling me that you are a parasprite that can talk?" I asked still a bit taken back by the talking parasprite.
"I will explain later, but right now we are in great danger we are about to be attacked by the Rulers of the night," S.P.A.R.C answered as she opened the door of my cell,"Their a squadron from the Enclave."
"Who ar-?" I started to ask but was cut off by S.P.A.R.C.
"I will Explain later but now i need you to follow me to the control room the Knights will be here soon-"BANG!!!"No their already here." S.P.A.R.C took off down the hall I was about to take off after her but i stopped in front of the door I saw a name tag attached to it, on it was writen the name Brave Dawn it sounded familiar, then I suddenly realized I was suppose to follow the parasprite so i began galloping down the hall.
while I ran down the hall i heard talking coming from the direction where i just left.i soon found S.P.A.R.C inside of a room i believed to be the control room. she was floating above a small watch shaped device. "Sorry to keep you waiting i was distracted by some voices that I heard."
"So they are getting closer to here then I guess I have to fall back onto the bonding protocol." S.P.A.R.C said as she slammed the door behind me. " I guess it's time to tell you why I awoken you. you are the only living being in this installation so it has by default become your responsibility to become my user."
"what! I don't even know who i am let alone know how to use what ever you are,"I answered.
"Damn it! i should have known you suffered some kind of side effects from the prolonged suspended animation." then we heard shouting from the other side of the door that sounded like orders."Not enough time to tell you who you are. Right now I need you to put this hoof mounted device on and put this ear piece on." She said as she dissipated.
I hurried over to the watch shaped device and grabbed it and snapped it onto my left foreleg, as soon as it was attached i felt a searing pain in my foreleg as the device dug into my skin attaching itself to me then a thin liquid oozed down my leg, once it reached my hoof it spread around my hoof and stopped then turned into some kind of cloth like substance. Then I remembered I needed the ear piece but i didn't see one suddenly the device glowed and out came a small black ear piece, a little surprised by this i quickly put it into my ear.
"Good now it is time to tell you what i can do but i will give you a brief rundown for now, I can adapt you and your body to any situation, but you must first have experienced the same situation before," S.P.A.R.C paused for a second. "I took the liberty of scanning your memories, and found you have experienced this situation before. So i made two adaptions you can use Invisibility and Shield. they are temporary but you can use them at any time you want so choose the one that fits the situation."
"So how do I activate them?" I asked
"since I am connected to you i am able to tell when you want to use them so just think about the one you want to use and i will use the adaption you need." there was a sudden bang on the door. "Now it is time to see if you can get us out of danger," As she finished speaking the door opened and showed six armed soldiers all wearing jet black armor that made them look like robots, behind them stood a large zebra stallion, he was wearing white striped body armor without a helmet on his back was a turret looking device.
"You There," He said in a deep rough Zebrica accent,"I am Nightshade, captain of the Rulers of the Night the best strike team of the Enclave, and you should be honored that we are the ones that will kill you. Fire!" With that the soldiers opened fire, i instinctively dove behind the desk that the device was on I began thinking on a way to even the playing field, looking around i noticed that there was a power switch on the computer console I quickly calculated the amount of time for the emergency power to turn on. I have an estimated ten seconds before the lights come on i could quickly dispatch two of them before the lights come back on easily opening a path for me to escape.
I quickly turned off the power and jumped over my cover and struck the nearest soldier stunning him I quickly grabbed his gun and brought it to the side of his head sending him flying into the soldier next to him giving me an opening and i took it still holding the soldier's gun I took off down the hall. then the lights turned back on and I heard Nightshade cursing in his native tongue. I ran until I saw a shadow of one of the soldiers. I stopped and hid behind the the corner as soon as he walked around the corner I brought my hoof up and struck him in the throat crushing his wind pipe he collapsed on the ground and choked to death. I quickly searched his body and found ammo for the rifle I stole grabbing it quickly so as soon as a bullet whizzed passed my head I took off running again.
"Turn left up here the hall way will lead you to the exit but expect some resistance they don't take too kindly to somepony killing their soldiers," S.P.A.R.C informed me i just nodded as i turned left and continued running until i saw Nightshade he had his weapon aimed at me.
"Looks like I bested you now die!" He shouted as he began to fire. I ran toward him then I thought to use my shield Adaption and S.P.A.R.C activated it the bullets bounced off me as I raced toward him, he froze from surprise I took that moment to bring the gun on my back to his exposed face knocking out a few teeth, I put the rifle back onto my back and took off once again. This time I found the exit and quickly found myself inside of a pitch black cave then I heard a clicking sound then an explosion sent me flying into the wall hard the cave shook and began to collapse the last thing I heard before everything went black was Nightshade yelling. "See you in Tartarus Bitch!!"
Chapter two-The Canterlot Caves
*Dream*
I was standing in the middle of a small town with a tree house castle looking over it, around me were several ponies went about their daily lives. Looking toward the school house I saw three little fillies running toward me, Surprised I took a step back as they cam to a hault. I took a quick look at the three of them, one was a yellow earth pony with a red mane and a bright pink bow, another was a white unicorn with purple and pink curly mane, and the third one was a orange pegasus with a short cut fushia mane.
"hey how did your mission go in northern Equestria? I heard that Yaks are pretty tough," The pegasus filly asked.
"It was a major success, Scootaloo," I answered the filly.
"Then ponyville is safe?" The unicorn asked sweetly.
"Yes ponyville is the safest place in all of Equestria, you Have my word sweetie belle," I answered in a confident voice.
"Yer lying Ponyville is not safe," The earth pony filly stated.
"How..." I started to say but was cut off when I looked at her, she was covered in dirt, her coat caked with blood, and she had a broken spear in her side.I quickly turned to the others Sweetie was in a similar state except she was laying on the ground not moving, scootaloo was the worst off her wings were gone with just bloody stumps remained, her fur was burned to a crisp. I looked up to see the town was destroyed everypony that was walking around was now one of the countless bodies that littered the floor.
"Where were you when Ponyville was attacked?" The voices of the dead chanted as they picked themselves up and began walking toward me.
*End Dream*
"Come on wake up please I need you to get up please these caves are not safe so wake up now!" S.P.A.R.C yelled in my ear as I came too I groaned in response. "good to see you didn't die in the cave in so i am gonna do a scan of your vitals to see if your fit to move..........seems the explosion caused only minor injuries due to the sheild Adaption being up. So get up you lazy bum, we have to get moving as soon as possible or we will become some creatures snack."
I groaned in pain as i slowly got up off the cold stone floor, my eyes adjusted to the dim glow of the cave it seemed to be coming off the crystals that speckled the ceiling giving the cave a soft blue tint. "So where are we?" I asked looking at the crystals.
"The caves beneath Canterlot, it is a natural maze down here it is also home to several mutant creatures but they usually don't come near ponies due to them being scared of bright lights, but considering we do not have any bright lights i suggest we move quickly and carefully." S.P.A.R.C. explained.
"Well we better get moving then," I said as i started walking down the only tunnel that wasn't blocked off by rocks but i stopped when i remembered the rifle i stole from that soldier in the stable I looked around until i spotted it three yards away. Picking it up and putting the strap around my neck but as soon as I put the rifle on my back it vanished. "What the hey?!" I exclaimed in surprise.
"Sorry I forgot to tell you about the storage unit. The storage unit functions automatically like your adaptions, It stores your weapons and items in a magic field that allows instant access to all weapons and items when you need them," S.P.A.R.C explained, "While we walk I should do some more in-depth explaining of some of my other functions, Okay?"
I nodded and began walking down the tunnel again. "Okay the first function you must know is my adaption module capabilities, there are three types of adaptions:Passive, Action, and weaponize. Passive Adaptions are always active and usually help you do something you couldn't do before you have a total of one passive adaption so far. Next is action adaption these adaptions have a usage limit and a cool down time these are used for temporary effects you have a total of two. Last is the weaponize Adaptions these are used to help defend yourself from all sort of danger, these adaptions also make weapons out of materials you find. Did I lose you?" S.P.A.R.C asked after she explained her functions.
"No i got what you said but I've been thinking if maybe if you could tell me my name? I would appreciate it very much," I asked as I continued down the tunnel.
"No, you did not have a name in the stable computer sorry I couldn't be any help there, though When I scanned your memories i know that there might be something in the Canterlot Archives about your Identity but we need to get out of these caves first," she answered. Hearing this my hooves quicken their pace they were spurn on by my eagerness to get out of this cave,then I heard it. It was faint at first then they steadily grew louder as we continued down the tunnel.
"Do you hear that?" I asked quietly.
"Yes they are simply mole mutants that inhabit the caves they are very easy to kill and fend off." S.P.A.R.C said nonchalantly.
"If you say so," I said as I continued to walk down the tunnel toward the sound, It suddenly grew in pitch as the mole creatures began squealing in terror. "What is happening?"
"Seems something is attacking the mole mutants, but I don't know what it could be since there are no predators I know of that eats mole mutants in these caves," Sparc answered, I stopped and listened to the squealing and picked up the wet sounds of blood splatter as what ever was attacking them was slashing them to bits.
"I don't think it is eating them, " I said as I listened a bit closer I then heard the sound of claws clacking against the stone floor coming from right behind me. Without turning around I ran forward as fast as I could, behind me the sounds picked up pace as whatever it was began chasing me down the tunnel.
"HALT!" A voice called out turning to the side i saw three enclave soldiers with their guns pointing at me. The first two of them were bigger than the third clearly they were stallions by their massive build. The third was slimmer and had a more feminine built clearly a mare.
"Something is chasing me we need to get out of here," I tried to warn them but they didn't move they just kept their guns trained on me.
"Get moving the Captain will be pleased we caught the escapee from stable zero." one of the stallions said right before he was torn in half by two long insect like mandibles, his blood splattered everywhere coating his two comrades with his intestines. the other two soldiers opened fire where their fallen comrade once stood,the other stallion was pulled by an invisible force into the darkness where he met a bloody fate that was signaled by his horrified scream. The last soldier was frozen with fear as the creature crawled into our line of sight, it was grotesque in appearance it looked like a giant armored spider with dead animal skin coating it's back, it's front mandibles were coated in the blood of the other enclave soldiers.
The last Enclave soldier dropped her weapon on the ground and accepted their fate, but i was not gonna stand by and let that thing kill again when could do something. Everything slowed down I picked up one of the glowing crystals and S.P.A.R.C activated her weaponize adaption module and the crystal began changing shape as I charged at the spider creature as it mandibles extended as it prepared to strike down the last Enclave soldier, the crystal finished changing shape as I brought it down slicing through it's left mandible the spider screeched and retreated back into the cave. I quickly turned to the Enclave soldier who looked at me with the best look of confusion mixed with shock that her masked face could show, I ran over to her and with out hesitating I put her on my back, S.P.A.R.C put the newly shaped crystal in the storage unit, and I took off running as fast as I could carrying the heavily armored mare down the tunnel.
The familiar sound of claws behind me told me the spider creature was on it's way back and from it's screeching I knew it wasn't happy. The mare began screaming and I knew the creature was in eyesight meaning it was super close. Up ahead I saw dim light up ahead I pick up speed as open space meant escape. suddenly I was hit from behind by a big rock the monster clearly threw at us, it sent me and the Enclave mare flying, she flew three yards down the tunnel toward the exit, I was slammed into a wall, the creature was on me in a matter of seconds slashing at me with it's claws I rolled out of the way quickly but not quickly enough as it scratched me across the face as it barely missed impaling me on it's claws. The pain from the scratch was burning as if somepony poured hot oil on it, but I ignored it as I continued to dodge it's deadly claws the creature let out a shriek of pain and ran off again.
Looking up I spotted the Enclave mare she was holding a stalagmite coated in a green liquid in her hoof. She was shaking with fear, her helmet had a large crack across her right eye piece that happened during the fall. She looked at me, "GO! I will deal with this creature," She said through her voice modifier that made her sound like a robot. I got up and looked at her, she put the stalagmite down and pulled out a small disk like object that gave off a light ticking sound.
"thanks," I said but I walked toward her she was not expecting that, so it is to reason that she didn't expect my hoof crashing into her mussle,"But I am the one that will deal with this over grown insect." I grabbed the disk and deactivated it, picking her up once again I carried to the cave exit, set her down and I walked back into the tunnel had the Disk at the ready then I heard the creature it was close. then my hoof touched something sticky looking down I saw a large pool of the green liquid that I realized was the creatures blood. It was dripping from the ceiling of the cave looking up the Spider monster spat what looked like a web at me I jumped out of the way and Threw the disk at the creature's webbing it shot at me it stuck, the creature pulled it toward itself.
I turned and ran toward the exit I was halfway there when I heard the device go off an explosion shook the caves causing them to collapse, I ran as fast as I could dodging rocks and crystals. I was getting closer to the exit, I spotted the armored mare next to the exit I grabbed her and jumped out of through the exit right before it was sealed.
I was exhausted from my mad dash toward the exit, I looked at the mare I rescued from the monster and cave in. Her helmet flew off when I grabbed her and jumped out the exit, she had a orange-red mane that shined like fire in the light it was cut short to allow her to wear her helmet, her coat was vibrant red. She groaned and opened her eyes looking straight at me with surprise, she then got up quickly and ran over to me, she then proceeded to help me up.
"Why did you save me in the cave?" She asked in a light sweet voice looking at me with golden orange eyes.
"Well I.." I winced in pain as the scratch across my cheek began increasing in pain."..couldn't just stand there and let that creature kill somepony who is clearly not a soldier." She looked at me with surprise.
"How could you tell?"
"Soldiers don't just simply give up, and they definitely don't give up when the enemy is within striking distance," I answered, "So do you have a name?"
"Phoenix Feather, and do I get the pleasure of knowing your name?"
"I wish I could tell you but I don't really remember what it is," I answered.
"How could you not remember your name?" Phoenix asked curious to learn why.
"Well it is a side effect," I answered quickly.
"A side effect of what?" Phoenix asked curiously.
"Four hundred and fifty years of suspended animation," I answered taking note of her look of shock.
"Wait you lived during the Great Pony War, that ended with mega spells raining from the sky that turned Equestria into a wasteland," She said in awe.
"I guess though I remember Equestria won and a peace agreement was reached with the other nations of the world there was no mega spells raining from the sky in the near future," I said sure of myself.
"Wait what do you mean? there was no peace agreement according to records from that time," She stated in a factual tone.
"Well from what I remember there was, so your records may be incorrect."
"Well then tell me then did you know general Brave Dawn the greatest general of the great war? She was the one who suggested we bomb the other nations for the protection of Equestria," She said with a conviction that led me to doubt myself but something about what she said rubbed me the wrong way.
"Brave Dawn was not a general at all she was a special operations soldier who helped end the war before it escalated to mega spell usage," I said angrily surprising myself with how much I know about this Brave Dawn pony.
"How do you know that? if she was a special operations soldier then no pony would have that information then how would you know she was?" She asked with a smug look on her face but she was shocked to hear my answer as was I because it was impulsive.
"BECAUSE I AM BRAVE DAWN!!" I yelled.
