I see a spark from their horns, glowing brighter with my words, they just don’t know when to quit. I wait, but there is nothing to counter. Not even a spell.
I see them pull strange gems from their saddlebags. I recognize them only faintly, I’ve never seen them before in my life, but somehow I know what they are. They are the Elements of Harmony.
I narrow my eyes they’re up to something, and it is not something I will enjoy. My mind is a storm of activity, striving to make sense of it, and then thinking ahead. of what I shall do to Equestria when I deal with these pesky duo.
Forcing one into conformity, and using the elements, “tools” that they don’t fully understand to deal with threats like me. That is their mistake isn’t it?
I don’t claim to know all there is to those blasted gems, but the difference, the true difference lies behind the fact that I am not ever so desperate as to call upon an unknown power source. I do not will said items to turn another to stone, nor do I aim to. At least I don’t charge ponies innocent of everything except, belh, dare I say it?; friendship, to wield those mentioned items, and expect them to go around bringing Harmony to the lands, when they don’t even know what they’re really doing.
I for one can see it, while no one else can, otherwise they just ignore it, however, I see the damage those accursed objects have wrought. Sure, they strengthen the bonds between those six bearers, and they spread harmony but they can't be relied upon to fix every possible problem that arises. These shiny necklaces of theirs run on a limitless energy supply…. the question is… where does all of this come from? It has to be draining something, correct? Is it stolen from the land, the very friendships it ensures stay alive and kindles? Or does it sap access energy from villains it destroys/ vanquishes or around the whole of Equestria , griffon stone, Saddle Arabia..the list goes on, and so one would assume that the latter is very likely. I like to think it drains the friendships and bonds it builds, I’m a fan of Irony, and such a thought is so very chaotic! What they see now as their salvation, will turn into their gravest mistake and lead to their ultimate demise. I rather like that thought. Only time will tell the truth of it… but I wish I didn't have to wait!
I'll have forever, and yet, so many ponies do not, what I wouldn’t give to see the looks on their faces, those darn bearers of the elements, when they realize their salvation is really a curse disguised as a blessing…..
I’m afraid however, that Sweet dreams will fall upon them eternally before they have a chance to see for themselves. Oh, well, Tia and Lulu will be there, unless everything proves too much for them, but somepony will recognize what destruction I’ve noticed as of late, subtle changes in the fabric of reality every time those stones are used. If only they knew that now…
But to them it wouldn’t make sense, and where’s the fun in making sense if you’re the only one who understands the pure logic of it and their ignorance is far from a blissful veil over their eyes?
Now that, that is only an annoyance. It’s not like I’d warn them were they ever to listen, I’m no friend of ponykind. My only qualm is that those equally ignorant alicorns honestly think that , the master of chaos, can change my ways. They honestly think that I am this way because I have no other choice!
….Perhaps they are not so wrong, after all, nopony has ever cared about me, however, I am what I am by choice.
I am a draconequus, and I’m meant to cause chaos. No one forced this upon me, it just fits the puzzle, I was always meant to be this.
I see the two ponies turn away from me, and I can’t help but feel my rage bubbling to the surface. How dare they ignore the likes me, when I very well have all of Ponyville and Equestria within the palm of my hand?
I attempt to raise my claw and snap… only to see that something has happened. The spell they cast was nothing new to me I am sad to say, it appears they somehow turned me to stone for yet another time. I can’t call out, I can’t move, I can’t even curse the ground they walk upon as they turn to leave.
How could I have been so stupid? How could I have been so stupid?!
I growl as I wake. And that’s when I realize, all of that was a mere dream, a bad nightmare that I should never have had. I know this because I’ve yet to meet that fate, I look around me, and shake off my daze as best I can.
The world is yet mine. I run things around here, and those.. what were they called? Elements of harmony?
Well, they’re nowhere to be seen.
I hear hoof steps come from behind me and swivel my throne to face the trespassers dumb or brave enough to approach me. What I see is the Princesses in all their formal icy stares and proud regality. I grin, thinking this would be good fun, I could taunt these precious little alicorn princesses to forget my dream.
At least, that is what I thought, until I saw them pull out something right out of my nightmares.
The elements…. so they’re here to…
I loose it then, and let loose a laugh, that gives way to hysterics as they turn my laughing form to stone and all grows still and silent but for their hooves falling ever farther away from where I stand, poised in all my glory. Forever laughing at them and their naivete.
I’m not laughing anymore, but if anything can be gained from my nightmare, I’ll be free soon, and I’ll have the very last laugh, and will continue to laugh until the sun and stars give out and on into eternity.
