Fallen Landby AlicornsplayMCChaptersChapter 1- A Fallen HiveChapter 3- A Fallen SaviorChapter 2- A Fallen CityChapter 1- A Fallen Hive"Get up now Ambrosia!" Someling was yelling in my ear. "What the bug do you want Aliss?" "The hive is under attack! Move your fat carapace, get your stuff, and let's go!" My turquoise eyes widened in alarm and I grabbed my saddlebags, tightening the strap with my teeth as we ran outside of our apartment. My sister Aliss slammed and locked the door behind us, and. I could see other 'lings rushing outside. I saw many determined ones launch into the air, buzzing their wings as they joined the defensive forces. My head whipped around just in time to see my sister gallop around a corner. I shook my head with a huff and followed her. I saw Aliss screech to a halt in front of a nervous-looking Changeling guard. "Do you know the current situation?" she asked, worry tingling her violet eyes. His eyes glazed over as he listened to the Hive Mind. Whatever had been spoken to him was too quiet for me to pick up on. "We are under siege by the Gryphons and Metamorpha Hive, and casualties are piling up. Queen Abelia suggests you and your sister to evacuate to the enter of the Hive." He replied solemnly. My sister gave him a nod and grabbed my wing with her magical grip. I winced in pain, but quietly followed her. My mind was buzzing with questions I wanted to ask Aliss, but I knew she was too busy right now. As we ran to the center of the Hive, something plummeted from the sky and dropped before us. A horrible black monstrosity hissed and tried to lunge for me. Before I could react, my sister put up a shield before it could attack. "Go!" she screamed, struggling to hold it up. "No! I can't leave you!" I shouted back. "For Goddess' sakes JUST GO!" My eyes filled with tears, but I forced myself to turn around and run towards a secret back entrance. When I got there, I lashed out my rear hooves in a firm buck and shattered the solidified Changeling goo. Getting down on my black underbelly, I crawled through the tiny space and kept on going towards a speck of light. I heard something try to get in after me, but I shuddered and only crawled faster, praying to the Maker that whatever it was, it was too big to fit through the hole. I broke free onto the barren ground and lay in the feeble sun, savoring it's dim warmth. A screech came from overhead and I opened my eyes. The sky was black with Changelings. It was a terrible sight, and I filled with panic. Negative emotions filled me like an ocean. I remembered that our Hive was situated near a mountain range, and that there were plenty of places to hide and survive. I looked all around to make sure no eyes were watching and gathered all my strength, resolve, and courage. All of a sudden I bolted towards a hill, where I had played many moons before. I kept myself low to the ground, primal instincts kicking in. I felt a sharp pain in my flank. I skidded to a halt, my carapace screeching along the ground. "So do we kill every changeling sir?" a smug male voice inquired. The world was slowly being muted and blackened. I turned my head in slow motion to the left, seeing two elegantly dressed griffons staring at me. "Yes, now pluck the arrow out and put the dagger in. I've heard killing them twice in their heart is more effective than just once." The one on the left replied. As my vision faded, my thoughts were confused. Didn't they know we had two hearts? Chapter 3- A Fallen SaviorI trotted calmly through the dreamscape, my regal midnight mane flowing behind me. I had felt a great disturbance in the plane, and had come to investigate, it being more important than the trifling duties my sister had shoved upon me. But no, I must not let dark thoughts consume me again. I knew that I should protect my little ponies, so I spread my wings and flew through the still "air". I passed many dreams that were peaceful, and many that were not. I pulled myself away from them and sought for the real danger. My mind idly ruminated on past events, and I could see faint pictures flashing from far in the distance. A scream pierced the silence. My peaceful mindset shattered, and my instincts kicked in. Rushing towards the sound, I found a mare, sitting on the floor of stars. I approached her cautiously, not willing to take any chances. My combat magic was ancient and archaic, but I had not had any real practice in over a decade. The mare did not notice me, even though her glazed eyes gazed in my direction. "Yes, yes, we must solve the mystery. No, no, keep away from the light. Tick tock, the clock is dying. Or am I? No matter, we must solve the question, the plague, yes, yes." She muttered, rocking herself back and forth. "Art thou alright mine subject?" I asked, keeping my horn alight. She snapped her head to attention and stared at me. "Yes, yes, a pony is here. No matter, it is rather mere." she said, grinning and speaking at the same time. All of a sudden, she sprouted teeth a foot long and lunged towards me. Being prepared, I put up the strongest shield I could muster. She slammed against it with full force and slid down. Not letting my guard down, I put a protecting and strengthening spell on myself, and let the shield dissipate into magical blue sparks. I summoned a moonlight blade with a star shield, and circled carefully around the seemingly sleeping pony. I could see an eye, blinking slowly at me. Her long mane flew up, and she again jumped. On reflex, I swished the sword down and cleanly severed the head from the creature. My cerulean eyes glared down at the monstrosity. Casting a scanning spell, I found that it was truly dead, and it's bodily functions were shut down. Satisfied with a job well done, I took to the air. A surprise was in store. I felt black ropes tighten around my body, and they pulled me down. Instantly I prepared a teleportation spell. Nothing happened?! I tried again and again, but I had to stop for lack of oxygen. As my eyes rolled back into my head, I heard a few things. "She's perfect, like her sister. Yes, they're both splendid for sacrifice!" Chapter 2- A Fallen CityBooms and screams echoed outside, shaking me awake from my slumber. What was happening to Fillydelphia? Tremors shook my frail Pegasus frame. I peeked outside, only for my eyes to be met with destruction. Huge shining comets were falling from the sky, and more than a little blood was spilled on the streets. I squeaked before galloping away from the window, purple mane billowing behind me. My hooves trembled as I grabbed my saddlebags and fitted them over my feathery wings. I opened the door and ran outside, only to stop myself before falling over the balcony. I looked to the sky, praying that I could make it to the cloud cover before any enemies saw me. Come on, Night Skies! You can do this! I braced myself and jumped off the ledge. My wings caught a breeze and lifted up of their own accord. I pumped them furiously, and gained a higher altitude. "Hey! There's one we didn't get!" a shrill voice screamed. I heard the far away chink of a crossbow being loaded. I scream inwardly and rose higher, preparing myself for a world of hurt. I heard a whistling sound, then a sharp sensation of pain. I could not scream, for I was mute. The arrows was embedded in my wing, hindering me. Biting my tongue, tears filled my eyes, but I pushed on. I could hear mocking laughter behind me, and another crossbow being loaded. Sighing in relief, I spotted a thick cloud about five feet away. I raced towards it with all my might. All of a sudden, I felt a sharp sound near my ear. I flicked it just in time to see the whizzing arrow pass my face. I dove into the cloud, and marveled at it's thickness. Exhaustion and pain overcame me, and my eyes fluttered close.
