"Well...what is it?", applejack had asked twilight as she stared into a weird bending twig hanging off a tree in the apple farm. The twig seemed to be slowly stretching out or growing as twilight examined. "Applejack, I really don't know what to say...i-it's extraordinary and new! I haven't seen anything like it before", twilight paced back and forth leaving horseshoe prints into the dirt. "Maybe I can look in my library for a book over this", twilight looked at applejack and back at the tree. "But the odds of finding a book about bending and winding trees is miniscule", twilight frowned and started to pace again. "Oh twily you don't have to go through all this trouble over a silly twig, ah bet it's nothing special or important", Applejack lifted twilight's chin. "you gotta keep looking up at the bright side", Twilight smiled and hugged applejack until she finally broke the hug and steadied herself. "I think it's time for me to help rarity decide if teal or turquoise would go better with ocean blue again, She hasn't thought it out yet and she's always bugging me about it", twilight laughed a little which made applejack laugh. Twilight then stopped laughing and waved goodbye as she walked off towards rarity's boutique. That left Applejack to secretly mess with the tree and poke and prod it. After a few hours (2 hours to be exact) Applejack grew tired and walked into the direction of her farmhouse. She went in and was greeted by Applebloom who was truly excited about something. "Applejack APPLEJACK!!", Applebloom screamed with delight. Applejack ran towards Applebloom giving her a small hug and then listening to what she had to say. She went on and on about her and her crusader friends before it turned about that time to go to sleep. "well kiddo, that's a marvelous story about how you and cow belle and chicken face went parading down the yellow brick road but I'm really tired and could use some sulking time to ponder over things that have been bugging me", Applejack kissed Applebloom then walked to her room and lay. The tree was the only thing she could think about and her head burned with a strange urge to walk to the tree again. A magical force was pulling her in but her mind and gravity itself kept her glued to her bed.

The tree was secretly glowing in the farm and was emitting a strange screaming noise. The noise was too low to be heard but someone was crying and wouldn't stop. Applejack then heard it while still sulking and got up to open her window. "what the hay", Applejack questioned as she quietly trotted outside. "HELP, HELP me please!! I can't go through this pain any longer!!", a mare with a pink coat had been laying near the tree. Applejack could see her leg was cut to the point of flesh reveal and blood pitter pattered down her leg and leaked from her left eye. "oh my apple fritters!! SOMEBODY HELP!!", Applejack's piercing screams should've done something. But no one came, the mare died in her hooves an-

-Applejack shot up as the nightmare she was having ended in havoc. She needed serious sleep and couldn't think about anything but that stupid tree........and whoever that mare she was dreaming about was..
